Senate Bill 1906, the Homeland Security Enhancement Act, closely tracks many of the recommendations I made in my recent book Invasion on how to fix systemic failures to detect, detain, and deport immigration violators who undermine our safety and our values.

What ever happened to Senate bill 1906? I'm guessing not much, otherwise we would have more enforcement. A really great subject for a quality HA vent by the ladies! Thanks a bunch for all your hard work!

Excellent job Michelle. This is the way interviews should be done. Actually giving your guest a chance to speak without some lefty drowning them out or having the host, ala Chrissy Matthews, interrupting and spitting all over them. Also not having the pressure of a commercial break is nice, so you can string together a few cogent thoughts and not just a 30 second soundbite answer to every question. Keep up the great work.

This is where I get my “reality tv”. Awesome interview!!!
IMHO Laura was dead on about the Ronald Reagan Effect (talking over the media directly to the people). I truly hope we can get someone in the oval office (2008) with the same gift of gab. Can’t wait for part two. Kudos to two great Americans, Michelle and Laura!!!

The problem is not really finding a Prez who can go over to the media…the problem is finding one who WILL go directly to the media like Reagan did.

Pres Bush is simply a “good ol’ boy” who has not learned the art of verbal self defense and only know he has begun to defend himself.

Instead of constantly saying that he respects their right to say what they want, Bush should respect HIS right to answer back and defend himself.

Manners, fairness, and courtesy are wasted on the hardcore leftists Democrats.

I’m with Laura on this 100%. If we can’t find a Prez who can go over the media to reach the people and set the terms of the national debate, then shame on us.

President Bush could indeed be more forceful in “marketing” the war, but to be fair, every word he says is either slashed down, distorted or ignored by the most enemy-friendly media this nation has ever experienced. The problem is by far more the media’s than the president’s.

Would be great to see more of Laura here at Hot Air.

Laura’s right on about the Bush Admin’s P.R. program … there ISN’T one. Somebody from the W.H. oughta be on TV every freakin’ day talkin’ about what we’re doing in Iraq, Afghanistan, the P.I., the H.o.A. and everywhere else we have Troops deployed. They’re letting the enemedia set the tone. Our troops are winning but the W.H. isn’t telling us about it, then they can’t understand why support has dropped.
