Actually the saddest thing in the Geraldo program was the 60ish “former district attorney” from Westchester County trying desperately to dress and act like the nubile Fox news babes and the Hooters girl from the Southwest Airlines flight. Geraldo had all the lovely ladies dressed like the Hooters girl on the SW flight and the 60ish former DA just couldn’t see fit to dress or act her age. But then again, I turned Geraldo’s program on Sunday night and he was interviewing the drop dead gorgeous fashion model Daisy Fuentes. And what did Geraldo want to talk about? Yup, you guesses it. It was all about Geraldo’s taste in choosing the women that he dates. As usual, it was all about Geraldo and nothing else.

Where to start? 1) There was absolutely no reason for the show to have been on location in the first place. It exemplifies so much of what is wrong with TV news, most often seen on the local newscasts, when they send a satellite truck out to report on the late local news from a location like, say, outside a courthouse hours after a trial they've been covering has ended for the day. 2) Anyone notice by the end when Geraldo and all of his guests/talking heads (and legs) were in the shot that it must have been matching white skirt and half-sweater uniform day on the Mickey Mouse club? They looked like some pastel-flavored Robert Palmer backup band-meets-Miami Vice mash-up. 3) I'm already sick of the Hooters chick. I'd rather watch Miss Teen South Carolina try to spell "the" than see this sorry excuse for a news subject. 4) 9/11 Truthers deserve a terrible comeuppance. (And that's the mildest thing I can think of to say about them.) Thank you. I feel better now after some HOT ThAIRapy...

Quick note about how these idiots arrived at Geraldo’s show… At first I figured (I think correctly) that they’re in town to cause a stir and narrowly avoid getting beaten to death on the anniversary of 9/11, as they get in the faces of victims’ families and firefighters, etc. They’ve done it before, and they’re clearly in town to do it again.

But I figured “they couldn’t have possibly known Geraldo would be outside tonight”… I, for a moment, thought that maybe someone at Fox tipped off some Truther friends… but thought it was more likely that some Truther walked by, noticed, and then called his palls (again, who are all in town, ready for protests this week anyway)…

But now I’m under a different impression… the reairring just started, and they showed Geraldo on that monster screen in Times Square (I think Fox is, currently, always on that screen)… I suspect that’s where they first got the idea, because none of them were there at the beginning of the show… there was just a quite small crowd of a couple dozen people.

Obviously none of that matters, but I’m kind of interested in how they got there. And I guess it could matter, legally, as it pertains to Alex Jones. If the arrest was for protesting without a permit… it’s probably because (if they even had a permit for another location) they weren’t planning on going to Fox until they saw that Geraldo was live and outside… they took there chances because it was the opportunity of a lifetime for them, and hightailed it over to FNC headquarters.
