The sad part is the had a great team of guys like John Madden, Al Michaels, Jerome Bettis, Bob Costas and Chris Collinsworth, then they had to go and ruin it by adding Keith Olbermann into the mix. How NBC-like of them.

Only thing I’ve heard from Tiki on this regard is that he has some republican views and some democrat views. I think he said that on fox news morning show one time.

He’s a nice guy. I like Tiki and Ronde (go Bucs!) so I really don’t want either to venture into politics. I don’t want to dislike either of them for something they say. Stick to sports and childrens books.

Why do we have to suffer with Olby on the monday night football set? Self important Costas is bad enough. Collinsworth too. It’s like NBC drug the bottom of the barrel filling that stage trying to make football seem more boring that it is.

You know cut him some slack..maybe spitting is the only way for him to get his bodily fluid on a woman?

I actually saw the halftime show last night, and was somewhat surprised that Olby named himself the worst person in the NFL. I did notice that he seemed rather uncomfortable — almost as if he was walking on egg shells. Also, what’s up with the red phone? Is that the direct line to the GE top brass, that rings everytime he says something stupid? If so, that phone will be ringing nonstop.

The question is, why should one need to “balance” a frigging sporting event in the first place? There shouldn’t be a political pundit of any stripe in the stadium unless he or she bought a ticket.

How does he come up with himself being the Worst Person In The NFL, when he is not in the NFL? Doesn’t he mean the Worst Person In The World? Me thinks that was what he meant, but couldn’t bring himself to say that.

No doubt, he got a lot of heat from higher ups who told him to backtrack.

I remember when my team, the San Francisco 49ers, signed Lawrence Phillips, a man who was benched for half of his senior season at Nebraska for throwing his girlfriend down a flight of stairs. I refused to watch my team that season and rooted against them until they were rid of that scoundrel.

The real punishment would not be, as Olbermann claims, NFL fans booing Vick when and if he returns to football. The real punishment would be if NFL fans — especially those of whichever team were to sign him — boycotted every game in which Vick played.

Still waiting for them to pull the plug on him, which can’t come soon enough. Then he can go into recluse hiding of the NFL’s Witness Protection Program, along with Phillips and many others.

When you have a limited amount of airspace to fill and you want to hold viewers until the second half starts, why title your segment “The Worst Person” of anything? Does that sound like a fun way to spend a few minutes? I thought Olby might try to have some fun with it, but the first installment was a semi-serious piece of Michael Vick. I don’t understand NBC’s logic, here.
