She clearly pulled her skirt well below it’s normal resting place for the TV bits, in an attempt to give the impression of decency, and it still failed miserably.

The airline has a right to choose who flies and who doesn’t. If they are going to make such a decision, though, they should have simply refunded her fare and said goodbye, instead of playing such a game with the issue.

She flew to Tucson, she flew back, she made her appointment. Her claims of emotional distress end with her showing off her outfit on national TV. If she were distressed, she wouldn’t expand the range of those to whom her humiliation were presented.

Whatever. Way off topic, here.

I saw this vid from Today again, and I’m surprised more people didn’t notice. She has her “skirt” pulled down so far and covered by her t-shirt, that she probably needed to shave to avoid a new scandal. And she still couldn’t keep her muffin covered.

Pulled up the way she undoubtedly wore it on the plane, I have no doubt that it was absolutely obscene.

I used to work for Southwest Airlines at their headquarters at Love Field and can tell you that they treat their contractors pretty bad. They have an orientation program for their regular employees where they train them to insult the contractors. It’s quite something to be talked down to like dirt by some stewardess in training who has a high school diploma when you have a master’s degree and are making their software work.

The most irritating thing about SWA is that they would keep inviting contractors to their social events and then uninvite them a couple hours before. I don’t know what the point of that was but they loved doing it. Perhaps the most comical time they did it was when they threw a big party one afternoon to thank all the employees for all the hard work they did to make SWA successful. They invited the contractors, then uninvited them right before the party. In some cases, subordinate employees went to the party while their contractor bosses stayed and worked. I stopped answering the email invites after I figured out the game.

Their management was none too honest with the contractors either.

I wouldn’t recommend working there in IT. They don’t pay market rate salary for their regular employees, so they tend to collect mediocre programmers from the DFW market. They tend to be rather ruthless with their contractors, making them false promises to string them along. A bad employer for computer workers. However, it might be better in other departments.

The worst I’ve ever seen were european football (soccer) fans waiting in line, probably drunk, definitely singing too loud. They didn’t care one bit about anyone else but their own little groups. Irritating as heck but too many people in today’s society don’t seem to care about the effect their behavior may have on others in public. Go home and sing or wait until you get to the stadium but until then, kindly shut it.

They’ll never say who complained.

Maybe the dems will finally find a practical application for the John Doe legislation after all.

Nobody answered my question from waaaay above… I work for SWA, I once made a tranny cover up his big fake boobs before getting on my plane. Was I wrong? He had on nothing but a bikini top with tiny little triangles covering his nips. Should I have let him on the plane like that? Anyone? Anyone?

Several cities have banned sagging. That’s not pertinent to SW’s decision, of course, but it’s an indicator of the standards of public decency being enforced for a similar offense.

There’s a time and a place for everything and wearing a belt as a skirt in public is a bad idea. The top was ok but the “skirt” should be burned.

I really don’t see anything wrong with her outfit. That’s the way she chooses to dress. Don’t look lest ye be tempted to fantasize about doing things in the airplane’s bathroom with her. It seems like more like a self control problem.

Those abundant, seemingly ubiquitous women, should be banned from outdoors everywhere.
- Leave her alone and focus on the bad guys.

You have issues.

It is this repressed sexuility of Islam and the strict Christians that want to make everyone follow their logic and morals that is causing all the problems in society today.

You could not be more wrong. We’re not at all repressed. The authoritative 1995 University of Chicago survey Sex in America found that conservative Protestant married women were the group most likely to report that they “nearly always” orgasmed during sex. We’re getting it on more and enjoying it more than our secular sisters, in fact. You might pause to consider the reasons for that.

And people can dress like skanks all day long – and they do, and we’re not out on the street beating them and forcing them to cover up. But when the line is crossed as far as public decency – including showing underclothing, or areas that underclothing would normally cover – then yes, your clothing or lack of it is other people’s business.

Most people over 50 can remember the days when flying was something you dressed up for. Men, even college aged kids, wore a necktie.

Now, like the rest of American society, flying is a competition to see what man can look the most like a pimped out, fantasy sport playing dweeb, and the women compete for who can look the most like Barbi wh*re.

I like to look at scantily clad pretty girls . . . but they have their place, and I don’t think this was it.

She works for Hooters . . . perhaps she has been raised to believe that her body is who she is . . . next stop Playboy.

And pardon a little armchair psych; her mom was there. I wonder what the primary male influence in her life is? Perhaps her unemployed BF who “really loves her.” She is surrounded at work by leering men who value her for her body . . . maybe she feels a wee bit insecure and thinks the way to succeed is by flashing what she has.

Lastly, she apparenly WAS NOT dressed like this on the flight. Her T shirt was pulled up to her breasts and her pants, w/o the benefit of the shirt, made her look like a plumber from behind, if you know what I mean.

There’s a place for dressing like that … the beach, the clubs, the CORNER … but not at church, Wal-Mart, at school, the supermarket or on an airplane.
