Mug shot of the year

Justice, if only for one day. Hopefully he’ll still have a little money left after the lacrosse players take him to the cleaners in the civil suit so that he can get that thing removed from his forehead. It’s been bugging me ever since I started following the case.

Durham’s getting sued, too. They’ve got a $5 million liability insurance policy; the Dukies are demanding $30 million. How about a nice big municipal bond issuance to cover the difference? They could put this mug shot on the certificates.

That’s what you get for withholding exculpatory evidence.

There will be books and movies. Count on it. He will be redeemed, after all this is Durham.

Is $10 Million all a degree from Duke is worth? It should be worth $10 Million per Professor that signed that disgusting petition that ran in the Durham rag.

PappaMac on September 7, 2007 at 11:59 AM

And what about the coach that was run out of town? This is going to get EXPENSIVE!!!

PappaMac on September 7, 2007 at 12:03 PM

Is $10 Million all a degree from Duke is worth?

All? That’s 200,000 a year over 50 years. That’s not a bad salary coming out of college.

WHOHOOOOO! Let’s pray for a second visit to jail for this bugger too.

Only one day? Too bad. The other inmates won’t have time to get his measurements for that French maid costume I’ve been imagining him wearing in there.

Looks like he’s going downhill, sorta like Gore did in 2000—-gaining weight, growing a beard. Heh.

This is JUST for Contempt of Court charge, Folks…

This is not over by a looooooong shot!

Not that I’m wishing it on the guy, but if he did happen to serve time, I’m sure that he would be better acquainted with the definition of rape.

Since he was criminally charged, he can not profit from any book or movie deal.
Ha, thank god for that. He should have to serve the time of what each player would have served, consecutively had they been convicted.

Flashback to Austin Powers:

Never get tired of linking to this post at the North Carolina Republican Rountable where they call Nifong “disingenuous to the end”. There you can link through to Nifong’s letter surrendering his license, where he snarks that the dog ate his license, and that the NC Bar had treated him with “fundamental unfairness”.

In the words of Her Majesty: “Boo-Freakin’-Hoo”

With that 3rd eye in the middle of Nifong’s forehead, you’d think he would have seen this coming.

It would be Fricking hilarious if Duke became an all black college and all the alumni bail.

Still no justice in Durham. What about all the “pot-bangers?” What about the “Gang of 88?” What about the Raleigh News & Observer (Ruth Sheehan & Editors)? What about Crystal Magnum? Heck there were people outside with “We love Mike” signs as Nifong was going in.

I sure hope those lawyers get that $30 million dollars from Durham. The people of Durham should have to pay for the kind of people they elect to public office. Maybe next time, they will pay a little closer attention before stepping into that voting booth.

Welcome to North Carolina, America’s only “Banana Republic!”

That’s not really fair. Most of our elected officials can turn out to be complete assholes, No voter has a crystel ball. Durham should not be sued. How about if they lynch him, would that make things even?

The only thing that could make this any sweeter could be the two so called reverends (of the Church of the Big Gold Watch, Racism and Reparations)getting sued for their part in this.

Justice does not come often against Liberal political crimes, but it is so great when it does.

Hening on September 7, 2007 at 12:59 PM

AprilOrit on September 7, 2007 at 12:50 PM

No way. It is time to add pressure to those who had these innocent young men guilty on the drunken word of the stripper. It is disgraceful to what was once a distinguished University and a travesty to the extreme actions of Nifong to get elected. The left has gone too far with this and must answer to their actions. Letting it go away is equivalent to getting a pass.

If the voters were so stupid to elect Nifong with his obvious vendetta to get elected, then they (the voters) should pay.

This is a perfect example of why most our officials are complete a–holes, look at the voters.

There was plenty of evidence on the table that Nifong was playing the race card from the bottom of the deck when the election occurred, yet they gave him the victory anyway. When an electorate knowingly votes in someone who is so nakedly corrupt, or chooses to ignore evidence of such corruptness, then that electorate should live with the consequence of their decision.

The only question is I have is, why haven’t any of these prosecutors been put in jail, when it’s a white woman falsely accusing a black man. There are a ton of evidence that that has happened, starting with Kobe Bryant, and other people.

Nifong definitely belongs in jail, but as a black man i want more…I think false accusations of rape should not be tolerated for everybody.

Chudi on September 7, 2007 at 3:17 PM

Allow me to suggest some old school justice if he only has to serve 24 hours.

Up here in NJ, I’ve got more tomatoes coming off my vines than my wife and I can eat. Man, some of them are really juicy looking and huge, and they have a nice weightiness. What to do with them…

To paraphrase Pulp Fiction, I think we should be getting medieval on his face. Lock him in stocks in the public square. Allow the people of Durham, whose residents are going to have to pay higher taxes as a result of his deeds, the opportunity to bring the bounties of their harvests (or their trips to the grocer) speedily to his face.

For even more fun, line up the accuser next to him. Since we’re a modern people, I’ll allow them eye protection in the form of small swimmers’ goggles. They should be able to see everything coming their way, after all.

flutejpl on September 7, 2007 at 4:18 PM

Wade - the federal Govt has put innocent people in jail - for instance the Joseph Salvati case, and the feds knew they were innocent.

So stop, it does happen, the Duke LaCrosse players are standing in the crap line behind a long line of crap that has gone on for years. As my father says - and he’s a lawyer, the Duke case was nothing new.

You guys are tanked up because they are white college kids, and the fool Nifong was a Democrat. But what about the others? Hiding evidence happens all the time. Criminals are allowed to snitch, just like in the Border Guard case, another example. The Feds bent over backward to protect the drug dealing snitch and throw those poor guys away.

It’s shameful what has happened in this country’s justice system, it’s disgusting.

Yes and that’s why we get a little worked up when cats like this get what is coming to them. Just wish it was more like 24 years instead of 24 hours.

conservnut on September 7, 2007 at 5:27 PM

But no one seems to be worked up about all the other injustices….it frustrates me.

AprilOrit on September 7, 2007 at 5:34 PM

If the posters here concentrated on the other travesties of daily kangaroo court justice - like they did about this players from Duke, we might be able to get some real non-partisan changes enacted.

AprilOrit on September 7, 2007 at 5:39 PM

AprilOrit on September 7, 2007 at 5:24 PM

What the does you father being a used car salesman lawyer have to do with this? Neither does your attempt to distract the attention needed to be paid to the 88 idiots from Duke who were so quick to sell students down the tubes with their concern to be PC.

If you are frustrated about other problems than so be it, but this thread is about the Nifong.

You want justice and changes maybe they should start with the very professors who are teaching indoctrinating young minds. How about the lawyers and the uninformed voters who vote idiots into office?

It is not the posters here you should be after if you are so frustrated about life in the big city. Making the voters and professors responsible for their actions and answer to society will help, not worrying about the posters.

Wade on September 7, 2007 at 6:56 PM

Making the voters and professors responsible for their actions and answer to society will help, not worrying about the posters.

The problem is the voters think like the posters here - they are the voters and their very approach to the problem is the problem, they only see to the tip of their partisan noses unfortunately.

Thanks for proving my point:).

He put the lives and reputations of three innocent Yale students and their families through the meat grinder, and he only gets 24 hours? How about moving that up to 24 months….per student!

The only slack I’ll give you is that it was Friday night and you may have taken a little too many altering substances……
…..at least…… I hope that was the case.

I didn’t get any bad vibes from your targets of ridicule, since it was clear they were joking (jihadist/muslims are not supposed to smoke so they wouldn’t have a cigarette in mouth), but of course you haven’t seen the “real world” right?

Get a life already!!!
