Hell I’ll be happy with simple Accountability! Both Jefferson and Murtha (and Feinstein) should have been kicked (in the ass HARD) all the way out of their jobs.

To add to that upon completion of there limited term there should be a federally mandated investigation into all of their and their families finances. Find out exactly where every penny that have socked away is and where it came from, and full prosecution of anyone who cannot adequately explain where their money came from.

Except no one seems to know where to find the equipment — a high-pressure pump.

The FBI should immediately lock every one of them up until they all can prove their innocence. I bet less than 5% are clean.
I say this tongue in cheek but the systems they work under breed corruption. And we need wholesale change to procedures.

Go over to Instapundit and find another story of Democratic pork barrel shenagians. This one involves Diane Feinstein and the withholding of possible funds for the VA by blocking the sale of property that some Hollywood types use as a park.

Hmmm, would that by any chance be the same Diane Feinstein that funneled billions of dollars in government contracts to her husbands company?

in this case long beach naval shipyard had to certify that the barge crane YD 171 (aka herman the german) could satisfy the requirements of 125% of 360 tons.

they picked up a large amount of lead (the p51 dies) melted most of them into large steel boxes that weighed out about 25 tons. (they actually weighed the boxes on a certified scale). then built a huge “sled” that the boxes fit into and used that for the work. the sled plus boxes plus tackle for lifting weighed in the neighborhood of 450 tons. they “trimmed” something to achieve the actual weight required.

several of the left over dies were placed on dry dock blocks at the front gate with a cable affair to stop terrorists in case of attack.

All things considered I think this is more accurate.

…for example the lead dies for forming the fuselage of the P51 were used by the navy 40 years after the end of contract for weights to test super large barge cranes…

I’m sure what you’re saying about ownership of production tooling is true, but did you maybe misspeak there? The USN never procured or flew the P-51.

It’s only Republican scandals that get front page treatment, though. Those scandals prove that Republicans are corrupt and thus are relevant. Scandals like this — Murtha “steering” millions to a local buddy and, I’m sure we’ll soon find out, a……
