I don’t mind disagreeing with the various senators, but when they become objects of laughter such as schumer, kerry, murtha…I just got to wonder……what are we in for?

I’m absolutely disgusted.

Speaking of Gen. Petraeus, the media is now full of reports undermining claims by the military that violence is down in Iraq, Democrats attempting to downplay Petraeus’ report next week, and generally attempting to poke holes in the fact that the Sur….

ALso, what is with the sudden admission that AQ actually is in Iraq. I thought they weren’t there? Or they were a bumper sticker or somesuch?

But don’t hold your breath waiting for Chuckie-Boy to announce a press conference in the near future to publically apologize to the oil companies for making false accusations against them, just like there is no way he is going to admit that the military surge in Iraq is indeed working, or that we could indeed actually be winning the war over there.

Any chance Schumer has had to deride, demoralize, and belittle the troops over there, he has taken and has done so with almost gleeful abandon. I am still trying to figure out and understand why the people of New York state keep re-electing this guy. There has to be more than one person with half a brain running around that state who can’t see Schumer for what he really is. He is a traitor in the purest sense of the word, and he will continue to be so, as long as the people of his state keep giving him a platform to work against the troops and his own country.

So why hasn’t anyone in his state risen up and demanded he be censured and recalled from office yet? A while back, Californians didn’t waste any time recalling their former governor Gray Davis from office for being an inept idiot, though I will say he never went about making his business to insult the morale of the troops every chance he got like Schumer has.

So what is stopping the people of New York state from recalling Schumer? What is stopping anyone from demanding this man be arrested for being a traitor to his own country? And why do We The People keep re-electing losers like Schumer to office again and again and again? When are people going to finally wise up to seeing what people like Schumer are really all about?

When is enough finally going to be enough?

Your comments yesterday on the Senate floor about Iraq were inane.

Words such as those suggest your partisanship is leading you to treason.

We will do what we can to see that you’re held accountable on this basis.

The point that I am making is that Schemers comment “US troops can’t protect the Iraqi population” is true in a certain context.

The conclusion that he implies/draws is false; “as a result of US incompetence, the Iraqis must take it upon them selves to protect them selves. ”

So, according to Schumer, the ’sectarian violence’, the revenge killings, the militias, the death squads are ok now, when all of that violence was previously used by the democrats to pronounce the fight in Iraq as lost.

In actual truth, the neighborhood defense squads are exactly that; defense squads for their own neighborhood. They can not mount an attack against terrorists in adjacent neighborhoods.

Yet whenever a conservative attempts to accurately describe anything, it is rejected as ’spin’ by the true believers. Meanwhile it is those very same leftists who are engaged in ’spin’, while they accuse the rest of us of doing what they are doing.

It illustrates, yet again, that no matter what happens, or how it happens, it is bad, it is the fault of the US, it is blamed on incompetent Bush policies. No matter what.

It is like being in a marriage headed to divorce court; no matter what you did, or didn’t do, or how you did it, or when, you are wrong.

This seems to imply that Mojo is correct.

The real outrage is that I’ve not heard of even a few Republican Senators and Congressmen stepping up and publicly called him the traitor that he is.

I respectfully disagree, mojo. Standing on the floor of the U.S. Senate saying what he said (says) gives aid and comfort to the enemy that will run around and shoot Marines.

There is dissent, and then there is deliberate deception. The latter is treason.

Without Iraqi help in identifying and locating the terrorists among them, US troops have an impossible task in protecting the general population from those terrorists.

Don’t know about the true believers part, but you’re right, as far as you go.

But without our Forces, AQ would still be there. The US Military is THE major reason things are turning the way they are. It is also the reason that more and more of the Iraqis are coming forward and helping identify the targets.

It’s the cycle we’ve all been hoping for. Increased security breeds a desire for more of the same. And the US is looked upon as the honest broker and strong horse.

Without them, the violence only escalates.
