Video: Olby names Michelle “worst person in the world” because Geraldo wants to spit on her

No typo. You probably glanced at that headline and thought he named Geraldo “worst person” for being a pig who fantasizes about spitting on his opponents. Nope. Michelle earns the honors because Olby wanted to repeat that bottom feeder’s disgusting comment on the show tonight without having to vilify a fellow traveler. So he squared the circle by giving her the prize instead. And in fairness to him, it’s true to nutroots form: with but one exception, there’s no insult the left deems beyond the pale as applied to MM, especially if it comes in the context of some juicy Fox News infighting. Why shouldn’t they welcome mustache to the club with a little formal recognition?
About that one exception, though. Let’s see if you guys can square a circle of your own. Watch this, then go watch the Olby clip here. Explain how A = B. Show your work.

Pure envy. Neither is a match for MM. They know the obvious.

Seriously fox put michelle on the same time slot against Olberdummmy
Opps wait already happened and she kicked his ass
William Amos on September 5, 2007 at 9:44 PM
The “worst person in the world” is the moron that pays Olby to be on the air in the first place.
Malpaso on September 5, 2007 at 9:45 PM
That didn’t even make any sense. I was getting ready for bed and you got me all worked up, dammit AP.
BadgerHawk on September 5, 2007 at 9:45 PM
The moron *who* pays…wait, maybe we can’t classify that individual as a human being. Huh.
Malpaso on September 5, 2007 at 9:46 PM
The reason why Olby and the American Left hate MM so much is because she is a minority who is a conservative. Plain and simple. MM is a free thinker who refuses to swallow the garbage put out by the Left, and that ticks off liberals big time.
ColtsFan on September 5, 2007 at 9:48 PM
smoked MM??? oh you mean making cowardly threats because after their last go round Geraldo was soundly shut up and was forced to listen to facts.
That espn reject should be happy he got more people seeing him here then on his show on pmsnbc.
Whats his veiwership 12 people ?

Olby names Michelle “worst person in the world”
I thought that Bush was the worst person in the world.
Well at least some of the heat will be taken off him now!
MB4 on September 5, 2007 at 9:49 PM
Olbermann is of no use to me since he used the stiff arm in order to dismiss O’Reilly. As soon as you use the freaking Nazi salute to dismiss someone who disagrees with you politically (and is kicking your bum in the ratings), you are irrelevant.
Michelle is an intelligent articulate woman. She is passionate about what she believes in and can defend herself against people who disagree with her. She went to Iraq, for goodness sake to prove or disprove the existence of some policeman.
Olby gives the stiff arm and acts like a four year old by calling people “the worst person in the world.” Has he ever called the late, unlamented Saddam Hussein the worst person in the world? Has he ever called ol’ what’s-his-name in Iran the worst person in the world? Has he ever called the Lebanese army the worst people in the world? Suicide bombers or terrorists? Sex offenders? Yeah, they don’t matter. It’s not politics and they’re not disagreeing with him.
BTW, MSNBC, the stiff arm was the last time I EVER watched MSNBC. And I never will again.

JetBoy on September 5, 2007 at 10:05 PM
Fox needs to say something. Soon. This is wrong, just wrong. And what business of it of Olby to jump in on this?
CrimsonFisted on September 5, 2007 at 10:08 PM
Gee, that would be nice.
Michelle on September 5, 2007 at 10:10 PM
Olby isn’t just a moronic coward, he’s even too moronic and cowardly to do his own ’smoke’n’ (though we know he inhales).
If he needs Geraldo to diss Michelle for him, well that just shows Olby’s level of incompetence, not to mention that puts him on an even lower character level than Geraldo, which is below shoe laces on a good day.
Speakup on September 5, 2007 at 10:11 PM
Anyone who runs a segment called “worst person in the world”, left or right, does not deserve to be paid attention to. It sounds like something a child (or a very childish adult) would say. The fact that it is Olberdouche only makes me feel that much stronger in that sentiment.
CR UVa on September 5, 2007 at 10:12 PM
Why do (supposed) heterosexual males want to spit on her? I mean, she’s kinda cute. Spit on her?
JWS on September 5, 2007 at 10:13 PM
Can leeches complain about those upon whom they suck?
He isn’t fit to sniff MM’s disdain.

So that means nothing will be said. You’re out on your own with this bull crap.
Too bad.. I thought one could go and complain and maybe get something moving….
Mcguyver on September 5, 2007 at 10:16 PM
I’m amazed they haven’t. Is threatening to spit on a colleague accepted behavior?
If one of the people that works under my supervision used that same verbiage, I can assure you we would have a private discussion.
Speakup on September 5, 2007 at 10:17 PM
Olbermann is a joke, this guy is running on fumes.
I love that Michelle cleans his clock in the ratings every night she fills in for O’Reilly.
186k on September 5, 2007 at 10:22 PM
I like to tell myself that I have better things to do than keep tabs on Fox News. But have they really not said anything about Geraldo’s outrageous comment?
That’s unbelieveable.
And, AP, I cannot square the circle.
Jaibones on September 5, 2007 at 10:26 PM
Yeah. If anything is said, it’s a little too damned late. The silence was a signal for Olbermann and his ilk to go ahead and pile on.
I have less anger towards Olbermann than I do with people I expected more of…silly me.
Michelle on September 5, 2007 at 10:28 PM
(A=B) Olby is the world’s authority on the appropriate and acceptable way to insult a person with whom you disagree.
I showed my work. Do I get an A? Or a B? I can tell this is gonna kill my GPA.
speed911 on September 5, 2007 at 10:28 PM
Olby has no problem with insulting Michelle; he has a problem with the word “whore.” A few sessions with a good shrink could get to the bottom of that.
IrishEi on September 5, 2007 at 10:31 PM
I should get extra credit for suggesting therapy in addition to squaring the circle and solving the equation.
IrishEi on September 5, 2007 at 10:33 PM
Why is the brightest (and best-looking) are on the right side of this fight?
Michelle, Hirsi Ali, Brigitte Gabriel…

Considering that 70%+ of Americans agree with Michelle re immigration how can he seriously call it the lunatic fringe?
aengus on September 5, 2007 at 10:47 PM
So I’m guessing by putting your foot down over FNC or Bill O’, it would jeopardize your show spots….
Or even writing someone a long letter could rock the boat too much from what I’m hearing..
Too bad.
We could get a campaign going informing the FNC we at HA won’t be viewing them anymore unless you are on…. that might help.
But then again being the old media types they must believe they are invincible.
Sad, very sad.
Mcguyver on September 5, 2007 at 10:47 PM
Geraldo has been smoking something all right, but it sure wasn’t Michelle.
BTW if I spit on Olby, can I be named Worse Person in the World? Can I can I, pleeeese?

Your the brave one at Fox Michelle. I’m disappointed that Fox didn’t call Geraldo out on the carpet for what he said, but don’t think Geraldo made himself any new friends with his hateful words. He truly showed himself for the arrogant self-righteous git he is. His words will come back to haunt him time and time again.
Maxx on September 5, 2007 at 10:52 PM
Olberman and Geral-DOH! are two impotent douches who need to shut up and go away. I’m sorry but I’m so fed up with their bs. Does anyone even watch Olberman? What are his ratings? Like a .001-share (if that??) And Geral-DOH! is just annoying. Really, really annoying….Like the male version of Rosie.
MM is a class act who is bothering both of them by being smart, cute, funny, likable, and very talented. They HATE that…
PoliticallyIncorrectSandy on September 5, 2007 at 10:54 PM
AP, I love ya, but I’m not watching KO. MM, you are right, Fox should make clear what is acceptable among it’s employees.

Olbermann is just upset that Michelle has prettier hair.
BKennedy on September 5, 2007 at 10:59 PM
nope, read it right, soon as I saw ‘olby’, I knew.
And you can wear it proudly, Michelle.
When the evil one(olby) mentions the devil(geraldo) yet says MM is the ‘worst’, well that is the worst in the ‘evil ones’ criteria for listings. Quite opposite of GOOD is evil, yes?
.
SO, One must turn that evil made listing upside down for righteousness and honor, and then you have MM…right there near the top.
Congrats Michelle.

I’m betting more people watch Olby clips on Hot Air than actually watch Olby’s show.
Laura on September 5, 2007 at 11:04 PM
Michelle:
Mr. Rivera is wearing the spittin’ image. Mr. Olberman is wearing the snittin’ image.
You are wearing the sword, armor, and mantle of Joan d’Arc.
It is you and your fellow fighters who will see to it that the American people never have to wear little black pajamas with sandals fashioned from tire treads. Or burqas.
Wear this latest smear with honor. Because the rest of us out here will shower you with rubies and rose petals.
RushBaby on September 5, 2007 at 11:04 PM
Hey MM, if anyone ever spits on you just let us know.
As for being Olby’s Worst… well… I’d take that as a badge of honor.
VolMagic on September 5, 2007 at 11:06 PM
Olby strikes me as case-in-point example that zombies do in fact exist. A more zombie-looking human than Olby could not be found!
IntheNet on September 5, 2007 at 11:07 PM
He in his career has “run over” more people than most likely anybody else in the media. Therefore he truly believes he’s invincible like the old media types do.
The only thing he will understand is his pocketbook running on empty. And that won’t happen unless the bosses at FNC kick him overboard…. and that won’t happen unless the FNC’s bank account starts running on fumes.. And of course even if one of their show’s revenue drops off, they can rob “Peter” to pay “Paul”. And so the charade continues….for awhile anyway… which is too long.
Mcguyver on September 5, 2007 at 11:07 PM
And no big dent underneath it.
Jim Treacher on September 5, 2007 at 11:11 PM
Why should anyone care what Olberscum thinks? According to several of his old galpals he’s hung like a thumb tack. Sheer penis envy is the cause of his insanity.

That’s not necessary. Don’t sink to their level.
Michelle on September 5, 2007 at 11:13 PM
Portlandbob got it right. They are BOTH jealous. They can’t stand that someone who hasn’t been around as long as they have is more popular and getting better gigs than they are.
Who smoked whom? I believe it is MM on O’Reilley who more than doubled up Olby’s ratings when she guest hosted. Once again, bravo MM, this is more publicity for you. . . your stock is rising.
No doubt this is good news. The more different people talk about you, the more people know you. This certainly isn’t ‘bad news’. GO MM!

Thanks again MM. I got your back if you need it.
ThackerAgency on September 5, 2007 at 11:15 PM
It’s the level Fox is choosing that’s saddening. I had assumed that they had addressed the issue. It would seem clear that they have not. That is disturbing and disappointing. In some matters, silence is not the appropriate response.
Spirit of 1776 on September 5, 2007 at 11:17 PM
C’mon, spitting on people is a cultural thing (like dogfighting)…it’s what they do where he comes from. He doesn’t understand how it can be misinterpreted.
tlynch001 on September 5, 2007 at 11:28 PM
It’s the action chosen by the dinosaur media because it’s what they have always done.
Rush Limbaugh had a good jingle on this, week before last: The (MSM’s) response to when we don’t like something they do is: Here’s more of it!
So true.
And it will continue, for awhile anyway, which is too long.

I’m surprised that O’Reilley hasn’t taken this on in a special segment.
The ‘parents’ at FOX must be on vacation or Geraldo must have something on someone…which audiences are they afraid to be rid of? Lack of decency will loose them another batch.
Olbermann was never a Mann. He’s stuck in Olberkind.

If I were Bill Shine I would be more worried about Michelle than Geraldo especially after a comment like that.
As a manager, not having the ability to rein in an abusive employee should be a source of embarrassment not pride (not to mention a private meeting with the big boss).
Speakup on September 5, 2007 at 11:46 PM
I’ve always found Michelle to treat others respectfully, to argue forcefully, but fairly. Many of her opponents, however, can’t seem to get beyond ad hominem attacks. Interesting to speculate why.
My guess is her heritage. Just as strong women are terribly frightening to some men, Republican people of color seem to have similar effects on many leftists.
Dr. Charles G. Waugh on September 5, 2007 at 11:46 PM

OlberLogic: Try to understand it, and your brain will never forgive you.
ZK on September 6, 2007 at 12:01 AM
What makes those two idiots mad is that Michelle is able to defeat them in any debate because she uses facts and logic, both of which Geraldo and Olby never use. Michelle also never debases herself by using character assassination against someone she disagrees with. She has class. Geraldo and Olby have none.

Ya know, I bet this site gets more viewers a day than Olberman. Maybe I’m wrong…
Viewtifulgare on September 6, 2007 at 12:48 AM
Does the left even begin to see how hysterical they’ve become? In a target-rich environment these two prominent leftie doofuses name, as “Worst person,” … wait for it… a woman who talks on TV and writes for newspapers and blogs. And surprisingly, they didn’t pick Anne Coulter this time.
Don’t get me wrong: I love what you do, Michelle. And yes, what you do matters because the pen is ultimately mightier than the sword. But I would think that the absolute worst person would have to control a corrupt army or hoard food supplies in a famine zone or something. They should at least be a current or former Secretary General of the UN.
Flipping the politics around, consider our reaction to Brian DiPalma and Tim Robbins. Scorn? Check. Contempt? Check. Pond scum? Check. Elevating them to worst in the world? Not even close.
The hysterical left. You were right to call them Unhinged.

My parents immigrated to this country from Britain legally. My wife’s parents immigrated from the Philippines legally. Do you know how they did it? Her father joined the US military. He served for 20 years. Can you imagine if you suggested that to bleeders like Geraldo?! The very idea that a pathway to citizenship for Latin Americans could be to join the US military for even a couple years would send him into a rage. Why would that be so outrageous? And why is it that Geraldo, an attorney as he will constantly remind you, only uses emotion instead of logic and facts? Because he knows he will lose any argument, that’s why. To think that he is trying to relate to the poor desperate people sneaking here from the south as “I’m with you” is ridiculous. He is an American and an educated, privileged one at that. He is half Puerto Rican. My girlfriend in college was from PR (parents from Cuba) and I know that the cultures of the various Latin American countries are unique and consider themselves so. That is where he and many American politicians get it wrong – by lumping every hispanic into the same pot. I’ve got you Geraldo, coming and going. Geraldo, you are not Mexican! Get rid of the silly mustache! People, I’ve already contacted Fox that Geraldo must go. I advise you all to do the same.
yubley on September 6, 2007 at 1:09 AM
Michelle is so far above these bottom feeders that no matter how hard they spew their venom, it can’t even get close. Instead, all that poison rains back down and eats away at their souls. Geraldo and Olby will descend into self-parody one of these days and become irrelevant.

Oh wait, it’s already happened.

No reason to loose any sleep over them then.

Admittedly, I do have strong views on the Islamic threat, but otherwise I’m so politically moderate. Olympia Snowe is my kind of Senator. Despite my Goreist environmental leanings, I love Michelle Malkin for telling us the truth about so many other things. Should I start an art fags for Malkin fan club to counter these garbage attacks on my political heroine? I wish my political thought to be to Olby what the Danish Cartoons were to the Muslims.

It seems that the only person at Fox news with courage, character, humility and a set of big brass ones is Michelle Malkin.

There is no other reason to watch FNC.

Ok, so…I know we’re not supposed to comment about physical appearance, and so forth, because it (supposedly) degrades the person in question.
However, I have to say: When media folks (loosely applied to this idiot, in this case) are opposing another person in the course of a story, they usually use an unflattering depiction of that person. E.g. Hillary on HA (crazed and hideous, appropriate), Edwards (silky, silky hair), or Rosie (a mad, fat cow with mad cow’s disease).
Funny that Michelle still looks hot on the segment produced by this dolt!

Keith Olbermann is a complete idiot. However, I’d like to know why Fox News is ignoring this. That is very disturbing. Geraldo should be at least be reprimanded.
tanmany2k on September 6, 2007 at 12:49 PM
I second that: The only reaction I’d ever have to wasting even a minute on Olbermann would be despair that I’d never be able to get that minute back.
Life is too short. We carelessly let too many present moments slip as it is, without delierately opting for self-abuse.
And Mchelle, the day will come when you’ll be in proximity to Geraldo Rivera again. I suggest you walk right up to him. He’ll either:
1. Spit on you, in which case he finishes himself off as a professional in general or a “journalist” in particular while you gain in stature and perceived/real courage (and you can haul him into court and win on civil or criminal assault and/or civil battery charges if you choose); or
2. More likely – he’ll back down from his “tough talk” and prove what an empty shell of a man he is.
Either way, you win, he loses.
Although to many of us, you already won the “debate” the moment he made that stupid remark about spitting on you. What’s left is whether you decide to put frosting on the cake.
Spurius Ligustinus on September 6, 2007 at 1:22 PM
I too, can only add my disappointment at FOX for letting the Geraldo comment lay unchecked. Olby is nothing but a raving nutroot, masquerading as a broadcast journalist. But FNC, can’t just let this go. They’re supposed to be different. Opposing views are fine. Threats, no, not acceptable.
Michelle, I don’t know how you keep your calm with these attacks you’ve taken from the left. I’ve got nothing but the highest respect and regard for you and your work. Even moreso when faced with these types of things.
