Disgrace: DHS cheek by jowl with Hizb ut-Tahrir at ISNA convention

This is sort of like MI5 having a booth next to Oswald Moseley at some convention in the mid-1930s. Tony Blair tried to have them banned in Britain last year but couldn’t push it through because it’s not a crime to agitate “peacefully” for a worldwide caliphate governed by shari’a law. Read this overview post from our first few weeks in business, though, to see how “peaceful” their plan ultimately is. Wikipedia has a good summary of their ultra-nuanced position on terrorism, too. In their international scope and Islamist aims, they’re similar to the Muslim Brotherhood. And just as the MB counts among its esteemed alumni Ayman al-Zawahiri, the Jordanian chapter of HUT is alleged to have produced Abu Musab al-Zarqawi.

Note to Chertoff: If you’re co-sponsoring events with Hizb ut-Tahrir, it’s time to regroup.

Chertoff wouldn’t notice if ISNA camped on his front lawn.

Islam’s central aim is the overthrow of all secular, governments so that they can be replaced with a global theocratic tyranny.

However “peacefully” you aim at this, its goal is anti-Constitutional.

Isn’t it an amazing thing when we learn, every so often, of something the government did that was actually competent and sensible? In those rare instances, doesn’t it make you react outwardly?

I await one of those instances.

I just can’t take this crap anymore. This is just idiotic. Taxpayer funded “arabic” schools popping up everywhere, installing religious “footbaths” at public expense, teaching islam to our little kids, Christianity is denigrated whilst islam is put on a pedestal … and now the government ass kissing with the enemy.

Looks like the times coming where a man will be responsible for his own defense and that of his family. Arm up while you can.

What’s next???

Border Patrol recruiting at a La Raza convention???

Dr.Cwac.Cwac on September 5, 2007 at 1:29 PM

erm…maybe DHS has a new, crazy like a fox security operation: surviel the jihadists while hiding in plain sight, posed as workers at a booth seeking new DHS employees. Because, you know, who would suspect them of anything if they were stupid enough to do that?

All that and more, darwin. I’m with you.

On the bright side, this post made me think of a new AG campaign slogan: “Chertoff: Less Than Zero.”

Already has happened:
Meet Carlos X. Carrillo: The Perfect NAU Border Patrol Chief

So where does one Mr. Carlos Carrillo fit into all of this? It has come to light that Mr. Carrillo, Border Patrol sector chief of Laredo, made a statement at a Laredo Town Hall meeting, as reported in the Laredo Morning Times, that was to say the least, provocative:

“I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. The Border Patrol’s job is not to stop illegal immigrants. The Border Patrol’s job is not to stop narcotics…or contraband or narcotics…..the Border Patrol’s mission is not to stop criminals. The Border Patrol’s mission is to stop terrorists and terrorist weapons from entering the country.”

Reminds me of the Family Guy with the German Brat stand next to the Polish Sausage and the Chech Weiners.

Where is the ACLU with their separation of church and state lawsuits? I guess that only applies to Christians and Jews. Muslims are exempt.

Can you imagine the howls of outrage from the ACLU if a public college installed holy water basins for Catholics at the entries of their buildings? However, not a peep from the ACLU upon the installation of foot baths for Muslims. If that doesn’t tell you that the ACLU is full of it, then you must not think that Islam is a religion or has churches even if they are called mosques. Jehovah’s Witnesses have Kindom Halls, but not churches. Would you allow them to have special treatment at public buildings just because they don’t call their meeting places churches?

Good advice. The time is coming when the 2nd Amendment will be neutered to the point where law abiding citizens won’t be able to legally buy firearms anymore.

Or that Simpsons episode with the international food fair where the German chef took over the Polish sausage booth.

Of course, it’s entirely possible I misremembered the Simpsons version and we’re talking about the same thing.

infidel4life on September 5, 2007 at 2:37 PM

Unless there’s violent overthrow, the 2nd Amendment (by itself) cannot be changed, fortunately. But you are right, they will try to neuter it via Brady Bill-type measures.

Gotta go shopping…

worldwide caliphate governed by shari’a law

Would that be the Islamic religious state or a the style of government which is Shari’a?

One would be protected speech, the other, sedition.

Speakup on September 5, 2007 at 3:28 PM

infidel4life on September 5, 2007 at 1:00 PM

He’d assume they were there to work on his yard and would be virtually invisible to him.

Don’t worry, we’ve got your back.

Did the Simpsons do it? I might be wrong.

BohicaTwentyTwo on September 5, 2007 at 4:59 PM

the homeland security guys should have made a big production of taking picutres of anybody stopping at the hizb ut-tahir table.

if they would have said anything the homeland guys should tell them “U.S. Government pound sand”.

might make for an interesting convention.

BohicaTwentyTwo on September 5, 2007 at 4:59 PM

I definitely remember the Family Guy version…but there’s something nagging at me about The Simpsons doing it too, but who knows?

In any case, there’s still my favorite Bart Simpson line, delivered prior to the UPS-copycat ‘American Shipping Services (Not Associated with the Human Ass)’ battle:

“Who would’ve thought that a bunch of guys in brown shirts could cause so much trouble?”
