What an ass! If he really wants to show us how brave and cutting-edge he can be, why not make a movie about a Muslim rape/murder? (Hint: They’re not hard to find.) Then sit back and wait for the kudos from all of the militant Islamists. Doesn’t this POS realize that he and his kind would be the ones to suffer the most if we lose? sheesh! What a pansy.

Fully 20 years now without a truly good film to his credit, by the way.

I don’t want to annoy anyone here but Casualties of War was a good film as a film. I never would have suspecte DePalma’s mptive for making it if it wasn’t for the fact he’s making another movie on the exact same topic. Carlito’s Way was good as well.

Please get yourself to the 10th Mountain base at Fort Drum, NY and try to greet the returning soldiers. I’d like to see you calling them murderers and rapists to their faces. Same for any Marine base, any Navy base, any Air Force base, if you survive the first one.

It’s real easy to criticize things about which you know nothing, and people whom you know even less who are defending your right to produce such filth.

I just said good-bye to one of those so-called murderers and rapists as he was boarding his C130 to go back to Iraq for the second time for 15 months. I’ve known him for 27 years and he would no more murder or rape anyone than you would. Or maybe you would and you’re projecting.

Sounds like DePalma’s in the weeds with this latest film, and his career is certainly hit and miss, but you gotta give me Carlito’s Way. That’s a great film. And another Hot Air favorite, Sean Penn, is brilliant in it.

Besides that, I’ll remain forever curious just what DePalma was going to do in his director’s cut of Snake Eyes.

I was just reading some of the HA newslinks and explored a tangent link from one of them about a strong Conservative Brit woman entitled, Widdecombe wages war on the ‘liberal tyranny ruining Britain’.

It’s an encouraging read. We need a lot more of her kind of outspoken pragmatism here in America. A taste:

“There is a slow descent into anarchy. We are in moral anarchy. In some estates it is already there. To change things, you must start to restore authority to the police.”

She says that the force should introduce “proportionality” – not sending six officers to arrest someone for making a politically incorrect comment, but instead targeting muggers.

She believes we live in an age in which the liberal tyranny cows people into silence. “People need to be free to say what we think.

“We must not accept this liberal tyranny which says that if you go against the orthodoxy, you will not only be ostracised but criminalised as well.

“We have to take on the three ugly sisters: the rights culture, the compensation culture and political correctness.

“We now have something we have never before had in this country, but is what the Soviets had – which is, that you can be punished by the law for disagreeing with the prevailing orthodoxy.”

Ann Widdecombe is regarded as a slight embarrassment among modern Tories; the maiden aunt you would rather not see on the station platform.

But she is still hugely popular among the grassroots.

It’s kind of like Jane Hamsher at Firedoglake…. I can’t read a single post from that chick without picturing a big red “I PRODUCED NATURAL BORN KILLERS” stamped across it.

He has that theme-thing going.

Still – how much can you trust this guy if he couldn’t keep track of Sean Connery’s collar?

I see that Mark Cuban is financing this project. He’s the same man who financed the 9/11 conspiracy movie “Loose Change”. What’s the deal with Mark Cuban? Does he hate America or something?

How come money from above always seems to be tainted by left-wing politics? Does becoming rich make one feel guilty about being a capitalist, about being an American, about being a white westerner? Is their leftism a form of subconscious auto-penitence for being rich?

Exactly right. Eat up with guilt and inferiority. And they want the rest of us to share in that guilt, whether we want to or not.

It never ceases to amaze me that it’s taken as gospel that we are supposed to listen and agree with hypocritical moral platitudes from people whose success depends upon how well they can lie. I’ve never understood why that should be so.

When I hear that term uttered by a lefty traitor, I automatically mentally replace it with “people of common-sense and patriotism.”

It makes what they really mean a whole lot clearer.
