I was surprised they actually considered whether it was appropriate or not, given the chance to mock a Republican, whether he deserves it or not.

If it was done in the context of being the work of a satirist at the paper, it’s borderline OK in my book. Like I said, at least they discussed the matter and asked for input about it, which is more than some of the ivory tower types would do.

I thought it was interesting that the video was produced by a multimedia editor at the Spokane Spokesman-Review and distributed by them on YouTube. There’s a debate among the editors about whether it’s appropriate to have the newspaper’s imprimatur on the vid.
