There is obviously something afoot as the saber rattling between the US and Iran becomes more intense, and Ahmadinejad’s words become more strident with each passing day.

I believe that his rhetoric is now a sign of fear that the US, after showing patience for years, has finally had enough from this Middle Eastern Napoleon and intends to send him to Allah C.O.D.

I also would like to see GWB light up Iran before he leaves office. Then after the dust settles and we elect a new pres., then he send’s a newer friendlier delegation of his top advisers (new&improved) over to Iran, what’s left of it that is, and blames everything that has happened on the last administration. Say one thing and do another, that is their (Arab’s) way of life. So they will totally understand.

Jiangxi, the Arabs are also smart enough to let us use our young men and women as fodder. There has to be many sleepness nights for some in the ME, wondering what Iran’s loons are planning. What is that air base in Saudi Arabia being used for these days? We can start fixing it up after all the rebuilding we’re doing in Iraq, plus building the largest U.S. Embassy anywhere in the world. Me thinks we’re planning on a long stay.

GWB has to enlist other Arab nations to join against the Persians. Iran’s western oil province is majority Arab, and reportedly “restless.” The Arab countries do not want Persian Iran to have Arab Iraq. Muslims are not as unified as you would think. Seems like there’s a deal to be had.

IMHO, I’m thinking we’re going to wait for the first slip up by Iran before doing anything. We’ll shoot words across the bow but nothing else – yee gads, I hope Condi retires soon. The free world (including Israel), Iraq and Afghanistan need someone that can back up tough talk with a convincing promise – leaving no doubt of intentions. I had such high hopes for her too. Actually, admire her a lot. The last couple of years has seen a 180 in her efforts at diplomacy.

The raids against Iran’s proxy terror groups continue as well. On August 27, Coalition forces captured eight members of the Iranian-backed special groups terror cells during a raid Baghdad’s Sadr City. The main target of the raid, a “Special Groups senior level facilitator with possible Iranian connections,” was captured along with seven suspected cell members. On August 28, Iraqi and US forces captured a weapons distributor who is connected to the special groups network and who has “direct ties to other senior commanders in militias operating in and around Baghdad.”

Iranian forces in Iraq doesn’t fit the lib template. The war in Iraq is supposed to be local Iraqi Freedom Fighters trying to drive the Great Satan from their land. Iranian fighters crossing the border to fight an enemy who hasn’t declared war on them, opens them up for retaliation. But, if they are “diplomats” then if/when the US goes into Iran, the libs can say that President Bush invaded a country with which we had no conflict.

When Drudge first had this up, it not only had the opressive red font, but the siren as well. I tried to follow his link but it wouldn’t go. My browser said something to the affect of “asiaafricanews.com”. I went back to his site later to find that he switched it to an AP wire story on Breitbart.com. Was anyone able to get the original news source? Was it the same AP wire? If not, do you remember any diferent info in the first?
