Dems are so good at targeting Republicans until they give up. Why dont Republicans get some cahungas and become RELENTLESS on William “Freezer Loot” Jefferson..or Dingy Harry Reids land sale scandal, or Hillarys mystery donations from jed clampetts house on the LAX runway. I dont know about you but GOP is becoming friggin meek. Maybe we need the Fred more than we think.

The level of rationalizing Reid is able to muster is a good insight into how the Hill really thinks. They simply do not see how they could ever be wrong. Politicos are insulates-they only believe/use the polls they want.
If the people of America were interested/invested in the Dems “GET Bush/Stop Bush” game, poll numbers would reflect that.
I see that Reid in the interview added a few more ‘phantom’ accomplishments to give the minimum wage hike a little company. How very nice. If Congress were a company, with so few goals met and with its members more interested in fighting each other and the President of the corporation, well, Congress wouldn’t survive. It’s just another protected government subsidy, like PBS, NEA, and Food Stamps.

One comment. If Bush is at fault for Congressional poll numbers, why doesn’t the opposite hold true that a President riding high would result in high numbers for the Congress? The Senate is supposed to be composed of the nation’s best and brightest. Are we really saying that Teddy Kennedy, Harry Reid, Hillary Clinton, Barak Obama, and Carl Levin are the best the “rats” have to offer? God help us all if it is true!
