"Why amazed? Why shouldn't a duck look like a duck? Why shouldn't a Bronze age artist be able to render an accurate drawing of a duck?" So they have discovered an ancient kitchen/butcher shop. Why not? Robert Benchley wrote a piece back in the 1930’s about archaeologists being amazed at a detailed cave wall drawing of a duck.

Yeah.. but evolution doesn’t explain it either. Just grabbing a chicken and wolfing it down is so much more convenient, no dishes to wash. Why would we have evolved out of that stage? Why are we the only species that must, for the most part, cook our food?

Based on so-called modern science and medicine and nutrition, some of the items we eat, such as animals, could make us sick if we did not cook them before eating them.
