I bought a used Bar Mitzvah t-shirt at a thrift store back in 1990 when I was in my early 30s. If I want to know the next big thing to catch todays’ yutes I just look at my previous middle age. Is predictability hip?

There was a logo overlay for Vice towards the end. I haven't picked one up in years, but Vice Magazine used to be a painfully funny rag. It was run by a hybrid staff of Canadians and New Yorkers (I think). Check out some of their tragically hip uber-coolness.

That was hilarious, and makes a good point that goes over the head of hipsters… they try so hard to look like they aren’t trying. Obnoxious. It’s a lot easier for me to pick up a pair of white Polo khakis (at Costco of all places!), or a Gap hoody ($10 on the sale rack!) than it is to find vintage ironic clothing and lame hats to prove what an individual I am… especially when there are millions of other people trying to be individuals in exactly the same way.
