Just what the doctor ordered to start the weekend. This comes from Wired; it’s some sort of promo video for the dancing yellow nerf ball who’s actually a lot more than a dancing yellow nerf ball. Not in a long, long time have I seen geek-cool synthesized this purely.
I’m supposed to link this too according to the YouTube page for the clip, so there you go.

Spoon is a great band.
spec_ops_mateo on August 24, 2007 at 6:28 PM
Yeah, I dig that tune. A lot.
Allahpundit on August 24, 2007 at 6:31 PM
Without a doubt, that made my whole week.
Kini on August 24, 2007 at 6:32 PM
Keepon previously danced to Spoon’s “I Turn My Camera On,” which some may recognize from a commercial. Personally, I’m digging “The Underdog.”

I liked the tune and the little yellow nerf guy ain’t bad either. Those other robots at the end has some moves too!
Would have been funnier if Bill Murray made a cameo appearance with his golf cart but hey, you can’t have it all!

The song is on Rhapsody!

Spoon rules
libertytexan on August 24, 2007 at 6:47 PM
That was seriously cute – they’ve managed to get an amazing range of emotion/attitude in a couple pieces of sponge-rubber.
jeffshultz on August 24, 2007 at 7:05 PM
Spoon’s two most recent CDs are must-haves. Full of great music.
mattshu on August 24, 2007 at 7:10 PM
Sure Keepon looks like a harmless little yellow dancing robot but you should see him live on stage when he pulls out one of those AirSoft toy pistols and screams “suck on this one time, you putz”.
lowandslow on August 24, 2007 at 7:12 PM
Well that was just plain fun!
Weight of Glory on August 24, 2007 at 7:16 PM
Yeah, Spoon’s from Austin. That’s kinda AWESOME.

Geek-cool-cute. The deadliest trifecta.
Tanya on August 24, 2007 at 7:54 PM
He is a Spoon frequent flyer.

That lil guy dances better than I do.

Admit it, Allahpundit. You liked the Japanese schoolgirls in their cute uniforms.
Blake on August 24, 2007 at 8:45 PM
If cute were a weapon the Japanese would own the world! I can’t wait to go back to visit there – has been far too long since I was there.
Bradky on August 24, 2007 at 10:25 PM
It needs a little COWBELL.

I think I’ll have Udon for lunch.
I miss Tokyo.
Asher on August 25, 2007 at 10:19 AM
LOL!!! Yeah, I found myself “geeking’ for one too.
Yakko77 on August 25, 2007 at 12:46 PM
I was waiting for the humping robot to make a cameo.
