I think its great that Jackie can say whatever he wants to say and the PC Police won’t touch him. I just wish we didn’t have to belong to a minority group in order to speak our minds, we have lost a lot of freedom by playing the Political-Correctness-game. As a middle aged white man, I can’t say “Good Morning” without being called a racist and a hater. That’s exactly what Coulter was attacking when she called Edwards… what she called him. And you notice there have been no more stories in the new about people having to go to ~~re-education camps~~ “rehab” for saying something non-Politically-Correct since she said it.

But some people on the RIGHT just didn’t get it. Instead of acknowledging Coulter’s right to say it, they chose to play the PC-game, and feign outrage. We had better learn to say what we think, and when the PC-Police attack with their usual accusations of racism and “hater” … we need to laugh and tell them to grow-up, boo-frickin-hoo and if they don’t like it, that’s just too frickin bad. It’s the only way to take back that ground.

Mason is a true relic, the last on his kind (except maybe Don Rickles?) I got to see him do a “warm-up” show at a small club in St Charles, IL a couple years back. It’s where he tried out his routine in front of a few dozen people before hitting the big stage. His act was obscene, terribly dated, and funny as hell.

I noticed the same thing Swinehound mentioned – he was a tiny, frail man when he walked in from the dressing room, but on stage it was like they injected him with speed. He’s got that trademark delivery you can’t miss.

You didn’t save Caddyshack II, Jackie, but maybe you’ll save the nation.
