The ONLY reason Osamabama is where he is right now is because he poses no possible threat to Hillary.

His first name is one letter away from “Osama”, and his middle name is freaking HUSSEIN for crying out loud! How hard will it be to pull the plug on that leaky boat if Obama tries to (as Hillary Clinton puts it) “leave the plantation?”

The media just wanted an excuse to run 24/7 coverage of their queen for two years before the election, and they couldn’t very well do that unless they could pretend there was a hotly contested “primary” going on.

Hillary was double digits ahead even BEFORE her token “opponent” said that he would not hesitate to attack a country that has nuclear weapons and he would never retaliate against a nuclear attack.

But if you ignore the numbers and just pay attention to the hype, you’d think they were running neck and neck. What are the liberal media going to do, wait until there’s a triple digit lead before they finally announce that the outcome of the Democrat Primary was decided six years ago?

Anyway, I’ll give you that not every supporter of Obama’s is supporter him solely because he’s black, but they are virtually all supporting him based on artificial reasons, and you can’t deny that much of his support is from white college aged liberals.

I guess the fact that he’s polling in second place has nothing to do with it. I’m not going to even bother reading the rest of your post. Just like your idea that there is proof of God (except when there isn’t) this idea that Obama is ____ because he’s black isn’t based in reality.

Well, at least you’re admitting your just here to troll. As for Obama polling second “having something to do with it”… he’s polling second, because they put him in that position. Just like the polls on the GOP side have been limited to Rudy McRomney, until the shock (because apparently principled GOP primary voters stood up and were counted) Iowa poll where Huckabee came in second. But that’s not going to be some new trend, he simply campaigned hard there… So did Dean once upon a time.

I said I had a problem with the way the thread was moving, naming a couple of individuals.

In the block of text you quoted I specifically indicated which part you said in paranthesis. Do you not see that??? How is that being dishonest.

She doesn’t define herself by race, and use it to score political points in the most shameful of manners. Now if you’ll look at my initial comment, Michelle Obama disgusts me over her “Barrack could be shot pumping gas because he’s black”, that is where I arrive at my opinion of her, in addition to her elitist black entitlement attitude that comes through anytime she opens her mouth.

You want specific reasons? My mom says she’s supporting him because after listening to him and reading him she believes he is the one candidate who will truly help marginalized Americans.

One of my Deacons believes that the whole idea that Barrack represents hope for change and a better America rings true. As a Christian, you should be able to understand that.

Alot of people feel that he is genuinely opposed to the “war” in Iraq (I know it’s hard to believe but some Americans don’t like that war). They think Hilary is only saying she is against it now to score points because of her votes.

I could go on and on but I don’t see why I need list more? No matter what you say, there are many people supporting Obama for many reasons besides his race.

The fact that you can’t see that he has more going for him than that is more a statement about you than it is about me or anyone else.

Okay, well I’ll concede one point… some aren’t supporting him only because he’s black… they’re going on the “likability” factor. But the overall point is that he’s an empty suit, and lacks any substance, and he’s only been raised to the position of serious candidate because the media wants him to be. Do we need to rehash the analysis of the media’s treatment of him earlier this year? The guy was literally treated like the second friggin’ coming. Were Kucinich, Huckabee, Dodd, Paul on the cover of every paper and magazine in the country? They were all virtual unknowns just like him, prior to the election… yet they remain so.

You keep ignoring the point about the media deciding who we’re allowed to pick from. Sharpton and Jackson were “real” candidates, if your definition is “they’re running”… but they weren’t real, in that they exist solely to play race games and their candidacy was never taken seriously, even by them. It was just a way to get their voice heard. If you’ve ever heard an interview with Sharpton about his running, this comes across very clear.

The point is, Obama (just like the mainstream GOP candidates) has been raised to a level of standing a chance in the primaries by the media. Bottom line, everyone knows this guy ain’t ready for prime time. Even extreme left Bradky admitted that here the other day, and if you’re supporting him it’s on emotion, not substance. You can have a different opinion on whether that emotion is largely because he’s black and some people are desperate to prove something by supporting a black guy… but he’s really just the hero of college kids, just like Dean was. He’s someone that makes them think they’re supporting someone “different” and “unconventional”, when in fact he’s as conventional as it gets (aside from his idiocy when it comes to foreign policy)

You’re not making a case, you even admitted it “just offering my opinion.” If you wanted to make a case you’d provide evidence. I think it’s becoming predictable that after every one of my responses RightWinged will call me “predictable” in order to avoid my points. So in order to avoid a mix up like that I’ll reiterate: prove your point.

It looks like Hillary will probably pick Obama as her running mate, and this is shaping up to be the Democrat meme for the 2008 election: “Anyone who doesn’t make his decision based solely on race and sex is a racist and a sexist.”

It’s becoming a little trite to say “this next Presidential race will be the ugliest in American history,” but 2008 will be a truly historic leap downward.

The only quote that was mine out of those listed by 12thman was the one about people only voting for Obama because he’s black. How is my, well founded, opinion “ugly” or “dirty”. Even if you don’t accept it, what’s “ugly” or “dirty” about it?

You made a ridiculous statement that the only reason people are voting for Obama is because he is black. I replied with a specific example showing that that isn’t true based on the fact that he is recieving much wider support than the last major black candidate.

You “disqualified” that because, according to you, Sharpton wasn’t a real candidate. Since when were real candidates determined based on your opinion? I’m sure all the people that voted for him felt he was a real candidate.

You simply saying I’m wrong because Sharpton don’t count doesn’t make it fact.

How about Jesse Jackson? Was he real or fake? If Obama gets more support to Jesse does that mean some people didn’t realize Jesse was black? Or does it mean Obama is “blacker”?
