Video: Biden’s first ad

Effective. I’m not sure what he’s still doing in the race — he’s not going to be on the ticket, the bottom half of which Bob Novak thinks may be reserved for Mark Warner — but as a second-tier candidate he needs to get the viewer’s attention and this certainly does that. Curiously, he doesn’t mention the personal resonance of the story he tells here. I guess he figured it’d be crass to try to wring sympathy from it, although he’s surely counting on people to make the connection between what he says and the news reports of his son’s deployment.

Also unmentioned: what he plans to do with those U.S. troops once they’re withdrawn and safely out of harm’s way.

Blowback

Biden, ugh. A radio program as a joke (it’s not funny) plays a tape of Biden asking Alan Greenspan a question. It goes on and on for over 5 minutes before I turn it off and can take no more. The man is ridiculous.

Is he running for something?

Can we get Leahy to leave his post as Chairman of the JudComm? How about we trade Biden for Leahy? Each has an equal chance of winning squat in a Presidential race.

Not that I’m aware of. And I follow this stuff closely.

You meant to say “his last ad” didnt you?

He’s always running for something, but then ends up running from it later:

Also unmentioned: what he plans to do with those U.S. troops once they’re withdrawn and safely out of harm’s way.

I actually saw Biden in Dubuque on Friday. He was eating with his neice, I think.

Nethicus on August 20, 2007 at 1:30 PM

It didn’t have much effect on me, and it’s not intended to have any effect on Democrats, who seem to all favor withdrawal already.

Who will be affected?

Biden’s a bully, and even for a politican, an egomaniac. He runs for Pres. to impress his own family with his superiority. In his mind he is not a perennially failed pres. candidate. He’s the man who ran for President of the United States.

He’s the littlest big man there ever was. He will never be remembered for anything. And of course he knows that.

Hair plugs a little too tight Joe?

I’d like to ask Biden to provide prove that this “Cathedral” experience he talks about even happened.

“Last year I went to Iraq. Before Team America showed up, it was a happy place. They had flowery meadows and rainbow skies, and rivers made of chocolate, where the children danced and laughed and played with gumdrop smiles.”

-Sean Penn in Team America: World Police

Dad…I don’t think that’s fair.

See? We’ll remember the hair plugs…

Jaibones-

I stand corrected. Proxmire

Biden, Dodd, Kennedy and Schumer are all excellent examples of why we should have term limits and not allow people to spend their lives in Congress

How about the plagiarism when he ran way back in the eighties?
