Remember history, friends. Even the most ineffectual, bumbling fools can get elected if they can “make” their opponent look much worse. 2006 mid term elections were won on the power of negative campaigning; 6 years of Dems calling George Bush evil and the WOT wrong had an effect.
For 2008 we’re going to see mud slinging like there’s no tomorrow and if the Dems win the White House it may SEEM like there’s no tomorrow.
But all is never lost.
We survived BClinton and JCarter-we will survive.

The liberal candidates are simply incoherent, not only on the war; the right doesn’t have anyone to crow about either.

Hillary running, and entering this early, with all the others, has had one grand effect – it has weaned me off TV almost 100%. She makes one yearn for Bill’s savvy and schliff.

She exposed a huge fatal flaw right there, if she doesn’t know how or refuses to win, then America will not elect another loser.

On the other hand if she supports winning she also loses, her base.

This logic is just ridiculous to me. Compare, for example, if you heard someone say this…

“Our firefighters almost have the building contained, but the best way to honor them is to pull them out and let the city council work it out.”

“There’s a lot of crime on the streets, but we need to protect our police officers by keeping them out of harm’s way.”

It goes counter to their whole purpose for being there.

Just got done talking to my VFW Post’s rep down there. ” To bad we’re gentlemen, we’d tell her what a moron she is!” His direct quote.
I do find her chutzpaz( forgive spelling)at being there quite humorous if the stakes weren’t so serious.
