An American President is sworn to uphold our laws, our rights, and our way of life. They are not sworn to appease effete diplomats in Brussels. They are not sworn to turn us into fetal-positioned-wards-of-Big-Mother’s State.

The world isn’t the Berkely Campus. The threat of force and it’s actual use, must be real, credible and exercised when required. Last resort yes. But exercised. With vigor.

A few other disturbing points:

1. Democrats still believe that George Bush is the biggest threat to America and the World (second only to Global Warming, buhaha). Democrats pandering for power is sickening.

2. Just as sickening as Republican pandering for illegal aliens, pork projects and power for the sake of power (until they got a well-deserved boot in the arse in ‘06).

3. As someone stated above, sadly, Republicans still lack a definitive option to Hillary. I think the Republicans (a party in which I used to consider myself until Shamnesty came along) still haven’t gotten the message from us (the base). They are still locked in their petty power struggles within the beltway.

Shameful.

Thank you for taking the time to say all that, but it’s not just Hilary and Hitler. When we engage in simple-minded name calling we simply make ourselves look bad. We want to sound more serious than the people at HuffPo, DKos, Atrios, and DU. At least, I do.

Ya, she deserves to be president!!!!

If you are a republican, pray every night that the donkeys nominate this woman. The American people will never elect Hillary Clinton president.

My heart agrees, but recent history sides with Limerick. The presidency is not a referendum or a poll; it’s an election. There are lots of structural issues, and we are on the wrong side of all of them.

Nobody actually likes this woman, and a lot of people despise her, but she has all of the structural benefits on her side right now, and the GOP is giving the voters absolutely nothing as an alternative. Our candidates are old, flawed and unexciting.

I think he was putting it in context, by pointing out Hillary’s flip-flop during a campaign regarding a national security issue.
Good for Steph – maybe he’s an Obama supporter.

P.S. As to the undermining. The only reason why I still call myself a Republican even after all the amnesty stuff and being called a bigot and all, is due to the fact that, right or wrong it’s the party that actually is trying to get stuff done while the dems only care about is, “Let’s here it for the power.”

Essentially, Democrats like Hillary are throwing brushback pitches at their own team, and by blaming Bush for all problems and our enemies for none, serving up homerun balls to our actual opponents.

Managers used to tell their pitchers NOT to throw brushbacks to Ted Williams. They said it just pissed him off and he got up twice as determined to hit the ball hard, somewhere.

Too bad there are no Teddy Ballgames on the Republican side who could take a Hillary brushback and then on the next pitch undress her with a screaming liner back through the box. (Sorry for the metaphor with Hillary, undress, and box.)

It used to be that politics stopped at the ocean’s shore. Those days are long gone as the Dims show no shame at sacrificing national unity for seats in Congress.

Maybe some of you people, just like the scum at HuffPo, DKos, Atrios, and DU haven’t studied enough history to understand what, exactly, it was that Hitler did. But it’s easy: he murdered people in order to take dictatorial control of his own country, and then many others. He murdered several million people.

I agree. I would recommend to anyone a visit the Holocaust museum in Washington DC sometime. A trip through their exhibits will give you a good idea of the magnitude of Hitler’s derangement and level of evil. These days calling an opponent “hitler” does not elevate the bad character of the opponent, it only reduces the depravity of Hitler. That should never be done. It should be remembered who he was and what he did.

The closest comparison to Hitler I can recall is someone referring to Hussein as “Hitler Lite.” And we know how bad Hussein was.

Malloy also recommends that women need to wear skirted suits. I agree that Hillary needs to wear those in these debates. I think it will subtly say she’s a woman, and wearing a darker color will say she should be taken seriously….

If she wears a skirt, how will she hide her cankles? Obama told some columnists earlier this year to lay off talking about his ears. Maybe Hillary can tell the TV cameras to keep the shots above her knees.

They might see that the US meant business, and realize their nuclear weapons business was a dangerous one for them.

That’s pretty naive. They’re going to develop nuclear weapons in any case. They already know it’s dangerous.

It’s “Bush administration strategies” that have emboldened them, and practically handed them Iraq on a silver platter.

Listening to these nitwits brings to mind a university senate of student “leaders” and leftist professors in a make-believe foreign policy debate. Utter disconnection from reality.

(If you guys are tired of me doing this just say so and I will stop. I am just enjoying myself evaluating what she wears and the message it sends and wondering if she’ll ever get it right. I am trying to wait until initial reactions to her content are made. You may be evaluating the content of her words, but you’re acting like thinking conservatives when you do that! Many will just be reacting to the way she looks!).

Let me start with the positive: I like the handkerchief she has in her suit jacket pocket. It does looks feminine. As to the rest:

I can’t find my husband’s old copy of John Malloy’s Dress For Success, but I had an immediate negative reaction to that shade of brown–it was not dark enough for one thing. It made her look like a lightweight competitor in comparison with the men. (Look at her in the shot that includes all of the candidates. She stands out, but not in an outstanding way!). I did a search and I did find a reference to Malloy saying that a man in a blue suit is more likely to be hired than a man in a brown suit.

Malloy also recommends that women need to wear skirted suits. I agree that Hillary needs to wear those in these debates. I think it will subtly say she’s a woman, and wearing a darker color will say she should be taken seriously.

I have dragged out my old copy of Color Me Beautiful to further evaluate her colors. She needs to be wearing a grayed navy or charcoal blue-gray suit when she goes for dark colors in these debates. I was right the other week when I said she should never wear black.

She should really go for a classic Coco Chanel suit look. She would then look feminine and professional. eBay has some great items. She should also look at some old pictures of Margaret Thatcher in her skirted suits (I know, Hillary would rather die) for some help.

As a side note, Hillary needs to lose weight. The comparison video clip from last year is not a good comparison. George did her no favors with that.

But, alas for Hillary, I realized as I looked at the pictures of Margaret Thatcher the way in which Dame Thatcher’s character came through no matter what she wore. The thing to remember about Hillary is that she is never going to be able to overcome the fact that as you get older who you are on the inside shows more and more in the way you look on the outside. After a certain age, gravitas and character are not something you can paste on your face or fake; that inner reality will come through.
