Video: “Don’t Quit Your Day Job”

posted at 10:44 am on August 17, 2007 by Allahpundit

I’m going to say just one thing:

A world where they won’t make “McKillson” is a world I don’t want to live in.

Blowback

Ask Marie Antoinette that.

Don’t Quit Your Day Job

Self applicable?

Wade on August 17, 2007 at 10:55 AM

Hillary shriek-voice: THERE’S THE FRAUD!!! (Like, I think.)

Bwahahahahah!!! That’s fantastic.

How so?

Allahpundit on August 17, 2007 at 10:56 AM

It’s a wonderfull life – with sex I gotta see that one :)

Gwillie on August 17, 2007 at 10:56 AM

Now I’m not so sure about my idea for a talkshow featuring a fat, sloppy, shreiking lesbian who spouts crazy-assed conspiracy theories.

Sounded good in theory……

Alamo on August 17, 2007 at 10:57 AM

OMG, suddenly every over-the-top dumb blonde imitation pales in comparison to the real thing.

MamaAJ on August 17, 2007 at 10:57 AM

I love HotAir on Fridays

Weight of Glory on August 17, 2007 at 11:00 AM

How about a romantic comedy were a guy pretends to be a girl to get the lesbian only to find out that the other ‘girl’ was doing the same thing.

The blurred out man in the Batman hat pitching an idea about humans functioning without government … Ron Paul?

BillINDC on August 17, 2007 at 11:02 AM

Somehow, “Paparazzi Payback” sounds like it could be a good idea.

She was great, wasn’t she? National Lampoon should make her a show! She could just draw random topics out of a hat and (like) expound on them for 30 minutes. I’d laugh until I wet myself.

Working title: “It’s a really wonderful….10 or 15 minutes”

RLOL (really laughing out loud, not just thinking about it.)

JiangxiDad on August 17, 2007 at 11:03 AM

Hey AP. In the spirit of the YouTube debates, MirCat had this idea about a Big Brother style candidate elimination process.

Leaving aside the fact that it would probably work fine, the comic potential is enormous.

How do we shop this?

JiangxiDad on August 17, 2007 at 11:06 AM

mmmmmmmm, bakery products.

infidel4life on August 17, 2007 at 11:07 AM

Was that AP with the blanked out eyes and voice over?

captivated_dem on August 17, 2007 at 11:08 AM

Shhhh.

Allahpundit on August 17, 2007 at 11:08 AM

Here’s a few ideas ….

Reality TV

Put a radio show starring a washed out bigot on television for three hours every day. Oh wait, MSNBC already did that.

Sitcom

Take a sports jock who looks like Sid Dithers and make him an authoritative news anchorman. Oh wait, MSNBC already did that.

Drama

Take a peace corp volunteer who wrote speeches for Jimmah, and try to sell him as an unbiased political pundit. Oh wait, MSNBC already did that.

Darn MSNBC, they have all the good ideas.

fogw on August 17, 2007 at 11:10 AM

fogw on August 17, 2007 at 11:10 AM

Dude, what channel are they on?

I EXIST!

MirCat on August 17, 2007 at 11:00 AM

Heh! Not edgy enough though.

Weight of Glory on August 17, 2007 at 11:24 AM

OK, here it is…AND you’ll LOVE it I tell ya!

It’s called “Left Vs. Right” except it will be like Big Brother.

You put a bunch of Left leaning Democrats in a room with the same amount of Republicans. They all go out to work for a living.

The Republicans get to keep their own money and do with it as they please.

The Democrats on the other hand, hand over 40% of their income to the Republicans as a sought of “Tax”.

The game show effect comes into play to see how long it’s going to take them to realize that “giving my money away to somebody else is completely wrong!!!!”

Now THAT’S a show for ya! Any takers?

Uhhhh She never said ” Let them eat cake “……. but your point is well taken….lol

hey, I’d probably watch “It’s a Wonderful Life. With Sex

John from OPFOR on August 17, 2007 at 12:40 PM

hey, I’d probably watch “It’s a Wonderful Life. With Sex“

Maybe not with Donna Reed though.

JiangxiDad on August 17, 2007 at 12:45 PM

Is the “with sex” theme for movies kind of like the “in bed” addition to fortune cookies? Are their any movies that it won’t work with?? Let me think about this outloud:

The Muppet Movie (with sex) = Gold
Peter Pan (with sex) = Getting weird now but I guess it still could work
An Inconvenient Truth (with sex) = Holy Crap! Ahhh Noo!
Farenheit 911 (with sex) = Oh my God what am I doing to myself?? Stabbing pencil into my eye in the attempt to get to my brain for thinking of such horror!

This concept must be scrapped.

Zetterson on August 17, 2007 at 12:51 PM

I’d love to see a C-SPAN mashup of “Road to the White House 08″ and THE RUNNING MAN.

sulla on August 17, 2007 at 12:52 PM

National Lamporn!

What, it got the sex.

Kini on August 17, 2007 at 2:28 PM

“Love Story II” where Hugo Chavez, and Cindy Sheehan meet at a Kos convention, fall in love, get married, and she helps him to become the dictator of all South America…

Allah,

Why do respond when people insult you??? I’ve notice that everytime that someone gushes over you. Saying you have always been the best thing to read on the net, and your so funny ect…(and that happens much more than the insults) you say nothing. Who you should be saying nothing to is the ones who just want to get your goat.

Thanks for the linky love the other day btw. Started off my blogging again real well…*smooch* (or was that Bryan?, if so..*smooch* to him)

Rightwingsparkle on August 17, 2007 at 3:14 PM

Rightwingsparkle on August 17, 2007 at 3:14 PM

Why do respond when people insult you???

Oh, I just do that for Wade. He likes to remind me periodically that he doesn’t like my posts, doesn’t think I should be blogging here, etc, but he also doesn’t want to be banned so he does these terse little shots like the one you see here. Then I challenge him to flesh it out and he says nothing. Not sure if you remember but he’s also the one who thought I was mocking the disfigured Marine who married his high school sweetheart shortly before Valentine’s Day.

Hey Wade? If you’re reading this, I got the message. You don’t dig my posts. So let me make this real clear: from now on, you can either (a) restrict your comments to Bryan’s posts, (b) comment substantively on my posts, (c) e-mail Michelle periodically and ask her to replace me, or (d) any combination of the foregoing. The next time you waste our bandwidth taking a mindless shot at me, though, you’re banned. Okay?

Already been done….Goldy Hawn – Natl. Lampoon

NEXT!

Keith_Z on August 17, 2007 at 3:33 PM

How about, Three Lefts Make It Right! where Chuck Norris (using only an aluminum baseball bat) is locked into a reality TV studio for an hour with Kos, Alan Combes, and Al Franken?

Keith_Z on August 17, 2007 at 3:41 PM

“Paparazzi Payback”? I’d watch it. I like it…I really, really like it.

Blaise on August 17, 2007 at 4:13 PM

How ‘bout this idea?
A plane loaded with politicos of both parties, almost equally divided between libs and conservatives crashes on an island like “Lost”. But the story would be how libs would set up some bullsh*t commune and the Conservatives would build a working village based on meritocracy.

Then zany antics ensue!

TheSitRep on August 17, 2007 at 5:58 PM

How about a cross between “Seinfeld” and “It’s A Wonderful Life” but with bakery products?

Rip Ford on August 17, 2007 at 7:10 PM

Loved the clip. Funny on multiple levels.

“Stan Lee…”. Righteous!

MikeZero on August 17, 2007 at 8:34 PM

I think I saw Michael Moore in there.
