But why do it ? Firstly, even if Carbon dioxide caused excessive warming, which it doesn’t, the amount of CO2 generated by humans is insignificance to the amount created naturally. Second, CO2 is beneficial to the atmosphere, without it, plant life does not grow, and plants grow faster when it is more prevalent in the air. Taking CO2 out of the air would be a direct attack on our food supply. The idea is anti-human as is the whole Global Warming sham.

You won’t accomplish anything except immunizing yourself against scary reality, but you’ll feel better.

I’ve been having these arguments for over ten years. The facts have evolved, somewhat, and there are plenty of new ones.

But the people I’ve been arguing with haven’t removed their fingers from their ears yet.

Maybe some other day I’ll get dragged into another pointless recitation of facts and presentation of documentation, but so far the argument always ends with the lefty environmentalist storming off in a huff to try to “convert” some ignorant SOB, because it doesn’t work with people who can read and do math.

I still say the whole thing is just a joke … gotta be. I’ll bet Jon Stewart came up with the idea. Pretty funny, really.

The usual way to make a gag funny is to put an almost believable twist on something that is very real.

What would you say is the ideal human population for the Earth? And explain why.

Zero. We were at a sustainable number only 10 to 12 thousand years ago — now look. As long as one breeding couple remains, Earth’s biosphere is in danger.

On a happy note, every single time I have doubts about President Bush’s leadership … I read a story about Al Gore, and feel much, much better.

President Bush isn’t perfect. From immigration to Harriet Miers to his now lukewarm prosecution of parts of the war on terror, there are times I’m less than pleased.

But, my God … look at the alternatives.

If I have to choose between Al Gore, John Kerry, or Dubya, well, there is no choice. And it really has nothing to do with the political ideologies.

Just … look at them. C’mon. President Al Gore? Really?

For the record – I voted in Tennessee in 2000, so you all owe me. Our state save all your collective backsides from a Goracle in the White House.

We breathe out carbon dioxide with each and every exhalation. The only way one could reduce one’s carbon footprint to zero would be to die. Maybe Gore’s secretly a member of the voluntary human extinction movement?

I’ve long said that if liberals want to cut down on carbon, offing themselves would be a good start.

I don’t know if Gore is part of that movement, but UN/NWO/Global Warming types have long been. The groups that are behind all this BS and all the “humans = bad” rhetoric we here have long subscribed to the “we need to vastly reduce the human population on the planet”. More UN control over our lives is the goal, but they’ll ease in to it. They’ve got their winner with global warming, which will help us get used to the idea of a world governing body… somewhere down the line, likely in our lifetimes we’ll be introduced to the idea of population control.

(And if you don’t think groups promoting this already exist, Google a bit. There are even lobbying groups, and UN reps who’ve made statements similar to that professor in Texas who took a lot of heat for wanting to reduce the population by 90% a couple years ago)

If they truly loved their planet, they would begin volunteering now.

I am pretty sure that Al Gore’s Govt should own us from cradle to Grave and then some…until we have been suitably vaporized and thus stop our relentless abuse of Mother Gaia.

Actually your dead body would still emit gases during decomposition so just dying isn’t enough, you would need to be buried deep underground in a sealed container.

Like talk radio imbalance Global Warming (capitalized because it’s a religion) is due to a structural imbalance. There is too much wealth in the Northern Hemisphere and not enough in the South.
