Barack Obama and the AP’s Nedra Pickler need to watch this video. It might help cure their ignorance of the war in Afghanistan. If it’s curable.

Their ignorance is terminal.

All war is killing civilians and air-rading villages to the Left/Big Media. Unless a Democrat is in the White House, then it is mildly humanitarian, as long as the military cuts and runs at the first sign of true conflict and casualties.

Bryan you’ve got to get your hands on the audio of Robert Spencer on Laura Ingraham show right now…

I love the fact that Bryan and Allahpundit are on different sides on this issue.
Free speech is a wonderful thing. And for the record, I agree with Bryan.

I hate to be the one to tell you, but willful and aggressive ignorance are incurable.
They don’t wanna know cuz the people they’re talking to surely don’t know and nothing gets people angier than demolishing their shibboleths. How can you expect the nutroots to vote for you and send you their lunch money if you don’t say US soldiers are worse than the Taliban?

This is the new war fighting. Give a dam and kill the dammed.
Looks like hard work that won’t be finished by September 15.

Excellent, Bryan. These are the posts we need to see more often, especially here. Since there seem to be a lot of quitters here at HotAir, when the going seems to get tough.
Keep these up and I also hope you start linking to dispatches from the embedded bloggers to whom Mrs. Greyhawk links at Mudville Gazette in her DAWN PATROLs. W. Thomas Smith Jr. from NRO THE TANK has been providing some great dispatches lately. Wesley (??) from Vets for Freedom is over there providing dispatches. And Bill Roggio is sponsoring an embed as well with PMI. I sent you and Michelle links to many of their dispatches yesterday.

This type of story is rarely seen on mass media; but not because the media moguls are unaware.
Yesterday the Army Chief of Staff General Casey spoke to the National Press Club on C-Span. When asked about the accuracy of the press coverage from Iraq General Casey had to laugh out loud. So did the audience. They know. He stressed that success is never covered.
To quote the Army Chief of Staff, “success in Iraq is achievable.”

This is OT, but this warporn is too good not to pass along:

Yet, the MSM acknowledged the purpose of bombing WMD sites during Mr. Bill’s Operation Desert Fox in Iraq, and the purpose of stopping the Kosovo genocide during his bombing of Serbia.

One cannot change the ignorance of the terminally hip.
Stupid is as stupid does.
Kini on August 15, 2007 at 2:12 PM
it’s their country, if they want to grow Poppy then let them grow poppy… you wanna bomb Amsterdam? I just want them free, fed, and safe to live as they wish… frankly as long as the chose their government every 6 years or so it can be a theocracy fro all I care…

Those poppy fields supply 90% of the worlds heroine. Not to mention that the Taliban is getting a bunch of that poppy money.

Obama is a traitor, besides being stupid and unqualified to be president. He is just one of several running for President as a Democrat.
Obama neither care about, nor wants to know the truth.
No Democrat in office wants to admit that their lies are collapsing and that the American people will soon see them for what they are: The 21st Century COPPERHEADS.
But no matter what the spin, no matter about “closed sessions” to here Petraeus, the truth is coming out and liberals and Democrats are being exposed as the war-sabotaging traitors they are.
I’ll say it again.
After the leaders of the Democratic Party are arrested for treason (and that includes the House and Senate leadership), after their funds are confiscated and donated to charity, and all their property seized, especially the local party offices, the best possible use of their new DNC headquarters building and the property underneath it, would be to implode the building and erect a hot dog stand in its place.
The hot dog stand is in lieu of sowing the ground with salt — that’s an evironmental no-no.
Potestas Democraticorum delenda est!

I wonder if the guy standing next to Capt. Corsten understood him when he said “big ass resovoir”. lol
Great work again on this series Bryan. Thanx

Thank you Bryan, once again.
I very much appreciate these postings. I don’t think I’ll ever understand the MSM and politicians playing games with soldiers’ lives. The latest shot be Obama? I thought that was supposed to be their idea of the “right war”, wasn’t it?
I’ve never wavered on this issue. I can say with certainty I won’t. I”ve seen people turn, that I thought wouldn’t. That’s not talking about anyone here, just to be clear. I’m talking offline.

Thank you Bryan for showing the good work our G.I.s do that does not involve ‘breaking things, and killing people’.
As a retired G.I. who has seen the effects of combat up close and personal. We need to continue showing the secondary mission ‘rebuilding things, and restoring peoples preceptions’ that comes after we have broken the will of the enemy to wage conflict.
