I agree – Omeish got too much air time. As for the book, in my local borders, it was nowhere in the new releases, but instead in the Middle East history section, right next to the Truth about Muhammad and the PIG to Islam and the Crusades.

Laura had Michelle on the program today talking about Deport Them Now. Laura gets some great guests. Needs to do more segments with Robert and Michelle and others like them.

Regarding this radio segment, the comments that Esam Omeish made at the end of the segment regarding the views on women in the Jewish and Christian holy books was typical Islamist smear tactics. You certainly won’t find anything regarding subjugating people of other religions in the New Testament either. Laura should have given Robert 15 seconds to rebut these statements.

B&N has a history of putting conservative view points in the back of the store. I actually saw them turn Ann Colter’s book backward when they had to put them on the best selling stand.

As to the radio segment. I have always felt that religion has no place in public and this enforces that feeling. If the issue is prayer in school, religious sex conseling in school, enforceing religious opinions of abortion on women, or the various manifestations of the encroachment of Islam on our lives, it is wrong. The place for religion is in the church and your own personal beliefs and actions and not to enforce religious will on others.

I’ve started saving Robert’s interviews into iTunes so I can listen to them when I need to bone up on intelligent talking points. I like it when Robert is the one quoting scripture in his arguments, not the radical apologist.

FYI-

I went to my local Barnes & Noble (mid-town Manhattan) and couldn’t find the book in the New Non-Fiction or Current Events tables, where I assumed it would be. I asked and it was downstairs, tucked away in the Religion section. Does anyone think it was placed there on purpose so as not to offend?

If Laura advertised that portion of her program as an interview with Robert Spencer regarding his new book, it was handled very poorly. Robert did a great job in the few short segments in which he was allowed to comment, but primarily it was an interview of Esam Omeish, who she allowed to speak about 80% of the time. They didn’t discuss Robert Spencer’s new book at all as far as I recall, other than mentioning the title. She even gave Esam the last word.

Very Dissapointing.

Off Topic, but there’s no topic for it. KP is subbing for Alan Colmes. It’s hard to express what a pleasant shock this is to the visual cortex.

Now, we need only make this permanent, then begin to explore ways of replacing Hannity with Michelle. (It’s called “incrementalism,” people. Google it.)

Heard them this morning. This man is a genuine American hero. It’s frankly unbelievable that people say he presents only one side or that he somehow maligns the “religion of peace”.

Listening to it now, but Spencer always shines so I am sure it will be good. Will be picking up his book later this week to read through.
