Dude, it’s real. DUDE.
Did I or did I not warn you in the last post that a persistent traffic lag will result in tabloid moronitude? And yet the lag persists.
Coming up next: Geraldo picks through Al Capone’s vault. Click the image to watch.

Oh my god, these things are getting cheesier and cheesier.

AP,
Are you constantly checking traffic stats?
terryannonline on August 13, 2007 at 7:21 PM
Now don’t we feel like fools for having worried about the Mexican aliens?
frankj on August 13, 2007 at 7:21 PM
The UFO was just dropping off some of that unique maggot-riddled cheese so popular with the locals.
Aldebaran little green maggots are the yummiest!
profitsbeard on August 13, 2007 at 7:24 PM
Ahh….thank you, Allah. The mild amusement there relieves some of the nausea I got looking at the Wet T-Shirt post.

I’m holding out for Geraldo.
bnelson44 on August 13, 2007 at 7:35 PM
I wonder how much bandwidth they offer.

So, does AP stand for Alien Pundit now?
KCtheKat on August 13, 2007 at 7:46 PM
Who are you tryin’ to fool? That was one of those new-fangled Eye-talian weather balloons. I think Piney-farino designed ‘er.
robblefarian on August 13, 2007 at 7:53 PM
I’m not going to be one of these a-holes who bitches about AP posting this stuff, because as he always points out, we don’t have to click through or even visit this blog if we don’t want to, but I do think these obvious fake videos are getting kind of old.
That said, I’ve seen a UFO, however I’m fairly certain it was just some type of secret military project that we’re not (nor should we be) privy to. There’s a history of denying the existence of aircraft we have for decades, and later admitting we had them all along.
Another quick thing… I’m not going to get in to the whole evolution vs. creation debate here, but I think we can all agree that evolutionists are the biggest supporters of “alien life” and more specifically “intelligent alien life”. There are billions spent on the search for this theoretical life, based on the (repeatedly debunked) assumption that our planet/solar system/etc. is not unique in the universe and that since we evolved here, certainly life has evolved infinite times all over the universe.
What I find funny about all of this, is the fact that evolution is supposed to be this random unguided process, yet those same people that believe in it, believe that it’s a certainty that “intelligence” would evolve elsewhere. Think about that for a minute… we have brains that supposedly evolved. Doesn’t anyone else find it the least bit silly to assume, even if you’re a believer in evolution, that brains/intelligence would evolve elsewhere? The primordial soup didn’t have brains in it, so to assume that primordial soup leading to eventual billions of years of evolution on other planets would also produce brains/intelligence is quite ridiculous.

AP is this the first level of tabloid jihad? If things continue how will you escalate the situation?
Weight of Glory on August 13, 2007 at 8:00 PM
Maybe Allahpundit should apply to NASA to be the first blogger in space? How about it, Allah? Ready to go where no blogger has gone before?

Video directed by Ed Wood.
Athanasius on August 13, 2007 at 8:23 PM
Wait a minute…How do we know that AllahPundit isn’t…
one of THEM?!!
Nobody ever seen him, right?
For all we know, he could have tenticles — sorta’ like those creatures in the “War of the Worlds” flics.
CyberCipher on August 13, 2007 at 8:31 PM
The aliens are just going to Italy to do the jobs Italians won’t do. Like flying around randomly looking for butt-probe candidates or whatever it is aliens do.
aero on August 13, 2007 at 8:37 PM
So, what are you implying? That he doesn’t have to type with one hand??
Blake on August 13, 2007 at 8:37 PM
I promise I will come here more often if you’ll stop this crap Allah. I promise.
Griz on August 13, 2007 at 8:40 PM
It’s sorta like giving in to a needy girlfriend, ain’t it.

P.S. I actually like the mix of the serious and dramatic along with the extreamly absurd yet entertaining.
MirCat on August 13, 2007 at 8:49 PM
You’re right. But then, maybe he has a hand on the end of each tentacle.

doriangrey on August 13, 2007 at 9:08 PM
Eh. It’s August. Drudge isn’t getting much of my traffic either, since there is little real news out there. I’ve been following the “surge is working” story line on HotAir and the Utah mine collapse on (forgive me) CNN — that’s about it.
I like the UFO stuff — it’s kind of amusing.
Anton on August 13, 2007 at 9:25 PM

Maxx on August 13, 2007 at 9:47 PM
It looks like a hovercraft.
Kini on August 13, 2007 at 10:11 PM
Did you read my whole comment Maxx? I’m not really bothered by these UFO posts… I think they’re pretty dumb, but Allah can post whatever he wants. My issue was what I believe to be the stupidity in believing in intelligent ETs.
RightWinged on August 13, 2007 at 10:19 PM
I think we should move to def con 4
tomas on August 13, 2007 at 10:26 PM
My first thought too, it looked and moved like a radio controlled r/c craft. Damn Italian’s (I can say that because I’m Italian, hell I’d say it even if I wasn’t) must be a slow news week since their former PM Berlusconi hasn’t made any sexually forward comments to any former heads of state (or parliamentary pages for that matter) lately.
I love these posts, we can’t be all serious all the time or we’d all go crazy, and with all the craziness going on in the world today we have to remember to laugh to stay sane and centered to get through these difficult times. So thanks AP and keep them coming, however I do have one recommendation; As a safety professional I would recommend a warning system for all posts pertaining to Tokyo-Rosie, something like the DHS system:
Green = Slightly disturbing
Blue = Somewhat Disturbing
Yellow = Disturbing
Orange = Very Disturbing (enough to cause PTSD)
Red = Extremely Disturbing (enough to cause instant nausea, vomiting, and burning of retinas leading to blindness!)
In Tokyo-Rosie’s case the warning should always be RED, no sense taking any chances…just saying!
P.S.
I’m interested to see what other creative warning system fellow HA commentors may have, so lets hear em!
Liberty or Death on August 13, 2007 at 10:37 PM
I’m amazed at how wobbly all these alien aircraft appear to be…urely this makes for bumpy interplanetary travel. I hope Ragdab & crew stock enough barf bags for these journeys through outer space.

Yes, we should suffer because other people are on summer vacation and not reading blogs.
Me neither, however I am overdue for my physical.

Anyone else noticed how we have moved from saying UFO photos were faked for being too blurry, to being faked because they were too realistic? That’s what it sounds like anyway.

Guess having a CGI animator’s opinion was forbidden.
