Honestly, it doesn’t look much different.

Gee, it really doesn’t look that different from the usual UN website does it? Does it matter if it was hacked? It is, after all what they think. Time to get rid of the U.N.

Count down until they are hired as the real UN web development team?

A high-tech protest with a message about peace. Awww. What an inspirational achievement! I hear them! I sympathize with their message! I oppose all war now!

Update: And the world yawned.

Took then UN 5 years and 12 committees to realize it. Everyone kept saying: Looks fine to me. Israel sucks. US sucks. Yep. That’s the correct content.

OMG total haxors!

Quick, get the troops out of Iraq! Some idiot hacker doesn’t like us.

Honestly, it doesn’t look much different.

You nailed it.

What is more shocking? That someone tried to hack the UN website, that the UN actually has a website, or that there are people out there in cyberspace bored enough to visit the UN website in the first place?

pilamaye on August 13, 2007 at 2:35 PM

Can’t get the link to work… but then…just WHY do we care about this? It’s the UN…

Some sections of the site, including those reserved to statements by Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, showed a message, repeated several times, that read: showed a message, repeated several times, that read:

I found that line very funny! A little inside joke, maybe?

Al Jazeera played this up big. Seems it as some sort of Turkish Muslim hacker and he also hit a US airforce site

I have every confidence that the UN will get to the bottom of this. I’m sure that even now they are appointing the members to form a committee to set up the guidelines for appointing members to form a commission to choose the delegation responsible for planning the plenary session of the tribunal that will investigate if, in fact, the UN website has been hacked or if this is yet another zionist plot against humanity.

Rove’s parting shot.

It’s good to see that the UN took time out of their busy schedule of graft, rape and oppression to put up a website at all. Most criminally useless organizations don’t bother with marketing, so it’s good to see there’s an area where the UN takes the lead.

UN = Undeniably Nauseous

Kini on August 13, 2007 at 4:08 PM

Oh big deal. I could’ve hacked the UN web site and put my own snark there if it weren’t for 1) its illegal and 2) I have a life. This kind of thing is not difficult.

aengus on August 13, 2007 at 7:09 PM

Wow, the UN has a website.
