Video: “In all fairness, your site has posted awful things”

I’m working on a longer edit to showcase the various fawning tributes paid by Ford to his new best bud but here’s his one moment of balls — which, regrettably, once again focuses on dKos commenters and diarists instead of the writings of the man himself.
I’m not sure what he meant by “Jewish-Americans” but I’m guessing this.
Update: Note Kos’s defense, too. “Democracy” occasionally means having to talk to shrieking anti-semitic “progressives.” It doesn’t mean occasionally talking to Fox News.

Why does this tool Kos get a free pass from the media?

Get a good look at the NEW DIRECTION DEMOCRATIC PARTY. Also, the following segment shows the gay and lesbian constituency, “rooting their asses off” for OPEN BORDERS ZEALOT Mike “The Huckster” Huckabee. The RADICAL LEFTISTS are portraying themselves as something they are not. Moderate and Mainstream.

Kos is way the hell out there and I hope he keeps it up through the election. Americans need to see these people for who they are. If the Dem candidate embraces Kos’ ‘new world order’ we just might keep the top office.

I am suprised that markos is so effeminate.
Not at all what I thought he would sound like.
Just an observation.
ArmyAunt on August 12, 2007 at 11:54 AM
What part of “Screw them” do you suppose Harold doesn’t understand?
OTOH, he’s probably spot on in noting that having different factions of the party publicly flensing each other isn’t going to help them win. Markos, being the arrogant moron that he his, thinks he’s just going to walk away with the party without a fight.
This should be great political theater over the next year and a half.
Pablo on August 12, 2007 at 11:54 AM
I think Ford came out the winner because Kos was so deluded and egotistical in comparison. Had Ford been more aggressive, it would have come across like he had been striking a child.
LB - the one that isn't LaShawn Barber on August 12, 2007 at 11:58 AM
I was hoping to see Ford stand up to Kos, but it did not happen. Allah the “fawning” description was perfect. Ford and the rest of the centrist democrats will have to do a better job of standing up to the moonbats or they will be eaten alive. Of course they might not care as long as they win. I will have to say Ford was pretty sad. I had to turn the channel.

I couldn’t get through the Harold Jr kissing up, from the first minute, to the person who clearly thinks he controls the dimocratic party. It was nauseating to see the DLC reduced to a fawning subject of such a hatemongerer.

Interesting point. Kos does actually come off like a child I think. His mannerisms very much adolescent – though probably by intent to disarm.

Marko and heterophobic American haters like John Aravosis, of AMERICABLOG.COM, DO control the NEW DIRECTION DEMOCRATIC PARTY, along with Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Lucille Roybal-Allard, Luis Gutierrez, etc…. That’s why Moderate Democrats, like myself, have either already left or are kicked to the curb by these people. Get a good look!!!

Emotional and intellectual immaturity is one of the core characteristics of the leftist liberal – that it surprises anyone that Kos displays such traits is itself surprising.
Also, manliness is not one of their usual traits. Really, how many manly leftists do you folks know? I don’t know about y’all, but my answer to that is ZERO.

Ford definitely let Kos walk all over him, which is good. Let Kos and the Nutroots and their political allies get overconfident, go public with what they really think and turn off the voters.

I like the part in the clip where Kos criticizes Ford for being critical of any Democrat. When in fact, him and his Krazie Kos Kidz do it ALL the time. I guess what Kos meant to say was “don’t attack any Democrat who’s aligned with the new Mainstream Middle America Progressive Movement”
p0s3r on August 12, 2007 at 12:49 PM
Kos has less than zero screen presence, and they had his mic turned down. No one outside of his Nutroots cult followers will take this seriously. If anything NBC outed him more than they mainstreamed him.

I figure why should the Dems have all the fun coming up with crazy stuff to blame Bush for. Here’s some stuff my friends and I came up with.
the bridge collapse, Hurricane Katrina, global warming, obesity in USA, decreased bee population, recent increase in UFO sightings, the extinction of the dinosaurs, grandma’s arthritis, sunspots, shifting of Jupiter’s spots, male pattern baldness, Tom Cruise jumping the couch, no Spaceballs II, MS Windows Vista sucking…
The fun is in actually coming up with a plausible (irrational) story of how he directly or indirectly caused each one of these. I think I see a new dKos daily feature article coming… :D

How do you know this? If I was a betting man, I’d bet you were wrong.
It’s interesting that Kos uses the excuse that he’s unable to control what thousands of people say on his blog, yet watch how long a conservative view stands before being yanked. Any opposing view is yanked within minutes, and the account is usually deleted. It would seem he’s quite good at controlling what thousands of people say, as long as they agree with him.

It’s amazing that this type of bigotry keeps popping up in a thread wherein we are supposed to be lambasting KOS for his lunatic credentials. It’s the same mentality as those who refer to President Bush as Hitler.
Do you realize that you negate your own statement by engaging in the same brand of vitriol as Kos? Are you better than this guy because of his perceived sexuality? Or are you better than him because he is a thoughtless, hateful America-hater?
What is it about a man that makes him get all concerned about another man’s sex life? Do you actually envision his sexual acts when you’re mulling this stuff over, or what? Get over it.
Republicans need to decide what this party is going to be about. Engaging in the same strategy of personal attacks will always make Republicans look more sinister. Americans will never see Kos in an unsympathetic light as long as there are Republicans to attract all of the negative attention.
QUESTION: Does being Republican mean being anti-gay?
This type of blind partisanship is just silly. Is it the case that all liberal parents are liberal in their parenting? Are you telling me that you don’t know any children of conservatives with serious behavior problems?
Do only liberals do drugs? Cheat on their wives? Commit crimes?
I believe in firm, consistent discipline meted out without anger. But it’s unrealistic to say “never” speak in anger. It might make more sense to say never speak in general superlatives.
Kids need to understand life brings forth a broad range of situations and emotions. Did 9/11 make us angry? Are you angry about our border insecurity?
My kids have seen me angry. Some situations demands passionate, negative attention from responsible, clear-thinking adults. My kids also know that you don’t let anger guide your actions. But you can’t ignore your feelings. This happy pill idea of protecting kids from anger does not prepare them for when they encounter their own very real feelings of anger.

I agree 100% with The Race Card. The gay bashing has got to go. For God’s sake, people, these leftists want to run the freakin’ free world and you’re fixated on how they hold their hands!? These are dangerous times and the Kos democrats are dangerous people. They have got the support of the MSM, which means they must be beat on IDEAS. Their idea — Marxism — is a bad one, and it’s pretty damn easy to explain that to thinking people everywhere. For starters, you discuss FREEDOM.
Do not criticize the hatred they spew with hatred of your own. Denounce them, but do it with IDEAS.
Rational Thought on August 12, 2007 at 2:40 PM
But, being BORN GAY is one of their ideas. Heterophobic Hate Speech is one of their tactics. Those two points will be contested, like it or not. There is a cultural war going on here.
You must NOT be listening to them too closely. Not very rational if you ask me. But, don’t ask, I already know them!

Did you guys get a load of an article linked in the headlines a couple of days ago “I’m the man now dog” or something like that? Kos and his coauthor claim that the American people are firmly on the left and that the DLC is basically irrelevant because it’s too centrist.
Like BadCandy, I really wonder if the radical kos hasn’t gotten just a wee bit overconfident. And furthermore, if the DLC will tolerate what amounts to a coup attempt.

The Sinner on August 12, 2007 at 5:01 PM
Actually, there is a bit of truth to this. However, I could care less whether Kos personally is gay, straight or of the Enumclaw crowd. More power to him.
However, I do have a problem when the stuff he coughs up at every opportunity morphs into policies, bills and laws that get shoved down my throat and become the status quo for my kids.
That is not gay-bashing. It’s called cultural survival. If I want to celebrate teh ghey, I’ll move to San Francisco. The Koslings are free to champion their perverted, warped worldview of relativism and penciled in moral values.
I, however, have the right to resist. And I will.
wccawa on August 12, 2007 at 5:44 PM
Will someone please explain to me what part of the following quotes contain “gay bashing?”
Are you claiming that to suggest that someone is gay is somehow “gay bashing?”
It would seem to me that you’re leaning toward being thought police and attempting to suggest that to even mention the word, or to offer the possibility that someone might be gay is hate speech.
There’s nothing in those quotes that is “bashing” anyone, unless YOU happen to have a hate for gay people. If that’s the case, I could see where you would think the quotes were hate speech.
If I were to say that I think Michelle is Christian because of her intense passion for conservatism, would that be an “anti-Christian” slur? Only to someone who hates Christians.
How hypocritical is it for those of you whining about Kos “controlling the conversation” and limiting the dialog, when you then tell people to avoid suggesting that someone might be gay?
And the same people will then stress out when it’s suggested that we outlaw the word terrorist or Jihad. The same people mock CAIR for attempting to ban any mention of negative aspects of Islam. And the same people throw a fit when they find the public schools teaching children that homosexuality is normal.
Get a grip.
Gregor on August 12, 2007 at 5:58 PM
And why are comments such as this, which are obviously blatently anti-Christian allowed to go un-warned? Because Allah is an atheist? Explain THAT?

Oh please, quit being disingenuous. Everyone questioning his sexuality here are just aching to gay-bash, and you know it. You Christian zealots, like your more violent Muslim counterparts, have no tolerance for homosexuals and want to purge them from the party. Well this ain’t the 700 Club, bub, take your preaching there because Allah and myself and others are taking this party back from the religious extremists and bringing it to the center, so we don’t have another election like 2006. Thank your Christianity for that, because the party was on the wrong side of the Terri Schiavo, abortion and stem-cell debates and it cost the GOP dearly.

EnochCain on August 12, 2007 at 7:47 PM
Where does God fit into this?
To be sure, I did not say you were gay bashing. I think you have engaged in bigotry, plain and simple. That is not to say that you are a bigot. I don’t know enough about you to make such a claim.
To alledge bigotry, however is no small deal. So I hope I can clarify things for you.
When one tells a story, they often include details about people, which give greater insight to that person. When you include details about race, class, gender, even sexuality that have no bearing on the pertinent facts, that raises a red flag for some people.
The reason flags are raised is because it is obvious to the listener that you mean to impart some otherwise unstated details by introducing a physical description about a person. So you inextricably link someone’s descriptive traits with character. In order to know what you mean, the listener must accept your implied depiction.
You introduce sexuality into a discussion where there is no clear tie between homosexuality and the littany of problems many here have with KOS.
What facts are we supposed to understand based on your interpretation of Kos’ sexuality?
You don’t see a problem with this, likely because you believe that homosexuality is a personal flaw. Additionally, you sound like you would not support a gay Republican. Would you? Would he you blame his success or failure on being gay?
Your beliefs are as valid as mine. But in this case, what you believe about homosexuality is not relevant to the discussion. Your need to interject it reflects a fixation on and or personal bias against homosexuals.
The question is why?
Are you the type of guy that introduces people or describes people based on their race? Race is often a convenient way of describing people and somewhat understandable? But, if you cannot find some other way to categorize people other than the way they look, then you need to give more consideration to those people.
Do we describe our own families and friends in this way? Not really. We refer to them in terms of their family role, geographic location or occupation.
I’m bored. Rant out.
The Race Card on August 12, 2007 at 7:56 PM
Thank you, Race Card, for saying so eloquently what I could not manage to articulate. I’m not calling anyone names here, I’m just asking what is the point of suggesting that a political rival might be gay? Even if you throw in the culture war angle, and I do believe there is such a war going on, there was nothing in that Ford/Kos interview about being gay.
Moreover, the culture war will be won in the Supreme Court, and that means getting people elected president who will appoint constructionist justices. We won’t do that by being just as nasty and bigoted as the Kossacks are. Imagine Kos being consulted on the next Supreme Court appointment, and then ask yourself what value there is in calling him names instead of calling him WRONG.
Rational Thought on August 12, 2007 at 8:26 PM
This is pc bullshit.
Kos isn’t gay. Okay, we all get that.
But if I met Kos out in the world, I would think he was gay. Not that that is good or bad, that would just be my impression of the man.
Zach on August 12, 2007 at 8:49 PM
Great Scot! I make a simple observation based on that dudes mannerisms in the video followed by a funny thought and then I leave and go cut the grass and stuff. I come back and find my simple observation has turned into a gay bashing, bigoted, bible thumping tirade that offends many. What?! I wasn’t ghey bashing. I was making an observation—nothing more. Unless we have now devolved to the point where observations should be outlawed. Some of you owe me an apology.
By the way, since somebody else brought it up. Being married is no litmus test for being ghey. Hello! Arafat died of aids and he was married. It’s no secret Arafat was ghey. Lots of gheys are or have been married. Marriage is not proof of non-gheyness.
Guardian on August 12, 2007 at 8:58 PM
Why and how do you make the connection between loving God, bigotry and gay bashing?
I’ve heard of “leaps of faith” but this is beyond ridiculous to connect these 3 in a question, especially when the person you’re attacking said nothing about God or was really gay bashing, but merely observing that Kos was gay.
Further, I resent your “conclusion” that “God-loving gay-bashing bigots” were pushing people towards the Dems;
Christians (and Jews) are taught by the Bible that homosexuality is wrong.
That being said, we are taught by Christ to “love the sinner, hate the sin.”
This doesn’t lead to “gay bashing” but rather condemnation of the behavior.
Given that most of this country is either Christian or Jewish, I’d say we were pretty tolerant to behavior we know to be wrong, immoral and sinful.
I agree with others that Kos has plenty of things to attack other than his sexual orientation, but he may be like Andrew Sullivan, whose homosexuality defines all his other ideology–President Bush wouldn’t grant him a “gay” marriage so he threw out any Conservative values of his thinking because of that.
Notice “The Sinner” also condemns the Conservative stance on Terry Schiavo (euthanasia), stem cell research and abortion on that same “God-loving bigotry–If it’s God-loving bigotry to respect and love human Life, call me a bigot because these are all acts of murder basically.
I consider it an honor.
If it cost the GOP in the 2006 election, I’m OK with that.
Better to stand with what you know to be right than cave to Evil just so that you can “win.”
Jen the Neocon on August 12, 2007 at 9:03 PM
