Video: “300″, border edition

Funny stuff from the Latino Comedy Project. They’ve got the sides mixed up but the ratio feels about right — a million Mexicans for every 300 or so border patrol agents. Plus four — count ‘em, four! — UAVs for the 2,000-mile border.

A clip of the real-life version follows below. Exit question: How do we square the, er, “fact” that the nutroots now represent the American center with these results?

Hey! I don’t think the nutroots represent the center at all!

Have we got the fence built yet ?

Hey, Hot Air is a “full-service conservative Internet broadcast network” right?

Let’s see this redone the right way, showing our brave men and women on the border fighting off a modern day invasión.

mjgreco on August 12, 2007 at 7:15 PM

from the lcp website:

With an impressive membership of new and established Latino writers and performers, the LCP turns mainstream culture upside down in all-original sketch comedy productions that hilariously recreate the world in the Latino image!

They’re bad. They’re brown. They’re the Latino Comedy Project.

Huh. Counter-culture disguised as slapstick comedy! I’m holding my sides! Slick, funny vid #1 is PR veneer, the teaspoon of sugar to make the pill go down. Without the makeup and lights, the real counter-culture looks like those radicals in vid #2.

Thanks for the juxtaposition, AllahPundit.

How do we square the, er, “fact” that the nutroots now represent the American center with these results?

I’m not sure I understand the question, perhaps because I’m not 100% sure who precisely falls into the nutroots category or how the poll results indicate that the nutroots represent the center.

FloatingRock on August 12, 2007 at 7:20 PM

We’ll take all the weemon, but leave the chicken swingin’ hombres back below the border.

Hening on August 12, 2007 at 7:23 PM

The slo-mo bits as they charged were hilarious… the guy throwing the broom, the pregnant lady, the guy with the bag of oranges… haha, funny stuff.

Exit question: How do we square the, er, “fact” that the nutroots now represent the American center with these results?

We do not. Why even put up the effort, I know its a joke, but really? The Dems are going to lose their “majority”, (Because of the Blue Dogs they don’t actually have one) by yielding to the nutroots. Harold Ford’s article to appeal to the center seemed like a plea, giving me the feeling that he already knows who Democrat leadership is beholden to. (Not to mention O’Malley is not the poster boy for the center, seeing as his state just granted in state tuition to illegals, and the majority Black counties that give Dems their majority in MD are not to pleased) To bad for liberals, pardon “progressives”, that they are going to be very very marginalized over the next few election cycles.

Exit question(s) for you: Are we going to let the MSM get away with not covering the immigration backlash over the next few years? The formerly pro immigrant politicians at all levels of government have a reckoning coming. We will cover it?

Theworldisnotenough on August 12, 2007 at 7:28 PM

We need to stop the flow of illegal immigration and drugs. We can immediately amass troops on the border and simultaneously start building a fence.

Reporter: Mr President, is it true that you have decided to put a fence along the border with Mexico after all? And a follow up question sir, if so what will it look like?

George W. Bush: That is a very good question and yes I have. What will it look like? Well it will run the full length of the border and have special security gates every 100 feet.

All the security gates will have on them:

1) Press one for Spanish (with a response of “Welcome Amigo”).

2) Press two for Arabic (with a response of “Welcome honored member of the Religion of Peace”).

3) Press three for English (with a response of “Go to Hell you damed bigoted nativist who does not want what is right for America!!!”).

For those that didnt click the link

Public Support Strong for New Immigration Enforcement

Seventy-nine percent (79%) of American adults favor a proposal requiring employers to fire workers who falsify identity documents. A Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey found that just 9% are opposed while 12% are not sure.

While this proposal has upset some immigrant-rights leaders, most Americans would like to go even further—74% believe that if a person wants to rent an apartment they should be required to provide documents proving they are in the country legally. Just 17% are opposed.

Sixty-eight percent (68%) of Americans believe it is Very Important to improve border enforcement and reduce illegal immigration. That view is held by 80% of Republicans, 62% of Democrats, and 64% of those not affiliated with either major political party. Those figures are little changed from earlier in the year.

The government currently has little credibility in this arena. Just 12% of Americans believe the federal government is doing enough to secure the border and reduce illegal immigration. Seventy-one percent (71%) say it is not doing enough.

How do we square the, er, “fact” that the nutroots now represent the American center with these results?

Well, they only have to represent the center of THE 535.

Stephen M on August 12, 2007 at 7:38 PM

Does anybody have a link to that video from a while back in which Bush is being interviewed along the border and even while he is claiming that border security is already very good, people are jumping over the fence in the background over his shoulder?

If the employers don’t do jail, we won’t hail.

If the employers don’t hang, it’s got no bang.

If the employers sail, we won’t hail.

If the employers walk, we will talk.

Lets just hope that they don’t get the same rights in America that Mexican citizens have. Then we would really be screwed.

That guy in the “Aztlan Libre” T-shirt looks like he’s been eating too much gringo food. Welcome to the USA, the only country in the world where fat people can claim to be oppressed.

Can I hold the Employers of illegals responsilbe in a civil law suit if his illegal employee harms me or my family..Why not?..Said employer is aiding and abetting an illegal imm. which in itself is a criminal act..I can’t believe in a country built on law suits everyone clams up on this one..This guy in video wants to hold Lou responsilbe for a death in the desert..NO WAY IN HELL..Lets show them a real class action lawsuit against all these SOB’s hiring all the illegals with their eyes closed..Lets open them..A civil suit is all I’m asking because they will always worm their way out of a criminal charge saying it’s the Soc.Security Dept. fault. However,if this employer has, lets say 10 or more illegals working for him its going to be hard for anyone to believe he didn’t know..and most of all its not fair for all the good employers who are trying to do the right thing and hire Amer. citizens or legal immigrates and try and compete head to head with these creeps..

I have a question… if the nutroots are the American center, who are the American left?

Lehosh on August 12, 2007 at 9:19 PM

If it was only true. As the 300 lost in the end.

Zaire67 on August 12, 2007 at 9:20 PM

Vinnie on August 13, 2007 at 1:21 AM

Do they have a Queen Gorga? That would definitely be a mitigating factor.

Halley on August 13, 2007 at 2:53 AM

The most acurate part is when the number 300 becomes 3,000,000,000 … how true.

I wonder if these idiots from “Azlan Libre” will allow Anglos into their ‘country’?

Lefty morons crack me up, they call their group “La Raza” but they call other people racist. They fly a flag with the face of Che on it and complain about the loss of life, not stopping to consider the number of people murdered by him.

Zaire, yeah the 300 Spartans lost but the Greeks eventually defeated the Persians because of their sacrifice.
