Video: The world’s dumbest rapist

posted at 8:44 am on August 10, 2007 by Allahpundit

Something cheery for Friday morning. Technically he’s still an accused rapist but this cocktail of evil, clumsiness with gadgets, and basic idiocy ought to earn him a nice long stay in the joint. As well as a Darwin award.

How about an all-video day today? I’m burned out on hard news.

Bring on the videos.

As long as it is not a seried of rapists, and muggers.

This guy should be reporting for TNR.

right2bright on August 10, 2007 at 8:53 AM

I eagerly await Jesse Jackson/Al Sharpton Race War Unlimited Inc. to come to this man’s defense and proclaim this was all a setup by the white man/police/George W. Bush conspiracy to bring a brother down.

BKennedy on August 10, 2007 at 8:54 AM

Reminds me of the story a couple of years ago where a guy stole the purse of a woman talking on her phone. She ran after him and took a picture.

Stick to politics Allah. Needless to say there are no “smart” rapists, except your headline begs the question. And this already is generating the kind of comments that will be fodder for Huffington, Kos and the rest.

doufree on August 10, 2007 at 8:58 AM

All Video Friday sounds good. I’m burned out on everything except video and the occasional game.

How about Half-Video, Half-Game Friday? Who’s up for Diddy Kong Racing? Or we can trade Pokemon friend codes. After this week, that actually sounds fun.

And more photos of MKH with suggestive headlines.

saint kansas on August 10, 2007 at 9:02 AM

And this already is generating the kind of comments that will be fodder for Huffington, Kos and the rest.

If anything in this thread could be compared to the slime on Kos or HuffPo it would probably sound more like, “I wish this guy had raped Jenna Bush and given her AIDS and then gotten away with it. Kucinich ’08!”

HockeyTemper on August 10, 2007 at 9:05 AM

Your headline reminds me of a bar conversation I had with a cop years ago. I over heard him talking about a criminal they had caught and what the crook had done to get caught. After hearing the story about the crook, I said that’s got to be the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard. The cop answered back “If they were smart, they wouldn’t be criminals”. I’ve never forgotten that statement.

KCtheKat on August 10, 2007 at 9:17 AM

Sorry, AP, but this guy does not qualify for the Darwin Award, because he has not been removed from the gene pool. To be removed from said gene pool, one must either die or be rendered permanently unable to reproduce. As far as I can tell from the video, he has suffered neither of these fates. (Whether he deserves either or both such fates, of course, is another matter.)

Bigfoot on August 10, 2007 at 9:17 AM

A break from hard news is good, AP.

How about a longer list of hard news?

Because by the time I come home from work the news bites have

dropped off the list. (I rarely go to Drudge anymore)

Thanks for all the hard work.

Mcguyver on August 10, 2007 at 9:22 AM

Bigfoot’s right, I was thinking the same thing.

KCtheKat on August 10, 2007 at 9:23 AM

Allah, just have a segment called “Stupid Criminal Tricks” every Friday.

Kowboy on August 10, 2007 at 9:24 AM

Here’s one for you AP… from Despair Inc.

MT on August 10, 2007 at 9:25 AM

Take a break, you’ve earned it.

jeanie on August 10, 2007 at 9:25 AM

“If they were smart, they wouldn’t be criminals.”

I can pretty much refute that entire thesis with the simple mention of two words: Zodiac Killer.

Sorry, buddy, but a cop’s saying it doesn’t make it fact.

No one is claiming that criminals aren’t lacking in morals and respect for the rights of others, but, as within any other cohort, the criminal community is going to comprise a range of aptitude levels and abilities–some more smart and criminally “talented”, some less so.

How about 24 hours without a STB story?

Do you think stories about the Prophet Algore are hard news or religion coverage?

Oh…you can’t ignore the news today, Allah…there was another border patrol agent shooting of a smuggler. Conservative blogosphere will be all over it soon…u don’t wanna be left behind, do ya? =)

Here’s an old story about a US Park Ranger, Park Ranger Kristopher Eggle, who while assisting the border patrol was shot and killed by drug smugglers. I thought about him when I heard Sutton on the radio talk some b.s. about how drug smugglers aren’t armed.

Blake on August 10, 2007 at 9:57 AM

Let me get this straight….

This guy robbed three people and raped one of them. What were here friends doing while she was being raped??? Standing there like hapless sheep??? Even if he had a gun, how hard would it be to take him down when his pants are around his ankles??

I’m no superhero by any stretch, but if you’re going to take violent sexual advantage of a woman in my company, you’re going to do it battered and bloody over my still-twitching corpse.

CurtZHP on August 10, 2007 at 10:09 AM

Yeah, this guy is an idiot. Ten days after the rape, he robbed and shot a convenience store employee, and called the cops and pretended to be a witness. He was arrested, of course, and had to submit to dna testing.

Today would be a good day for a montage of Michelle, Kirsten, and Mary Katherine videos.

Yikes! An illegal immigrant has been arrested and charged with the execution style murder of the three college students in Newark.

Blake on August 10, 2007 at 10:57 AM

Have you ever heard of a *smart* criminal?

My dad knew a guy who whose story was featured on “Stupid Criminals”. He was driving drunk and got pulled over. The cop put him in the back of his cruiser and then there was an accident across the highway divider. He ran over to check for injuries. The guy got into the front seat and drove the police car home. Well the cop already had his address so they went to his house and knocked on the door. His wife answered and said “He’s in bed sleeping, he’s been there all night.” The cop says “Yeah, open the garage door.” She opened the door and police car was in there … with its red and blue light still flashing.

As Bugs Bunny would say “What a maroone.”

Blacklake on August 10, 2007 at 11:19 AM

The cop answered back “If they were smart, they wouldn’t be criminals”. I’ve never forgotten that statement.

While it’s true that many criminals and gangsters go into crime because they have no other appreciable skills, I’d be willing to bet that Meyer Lansky had a higher IQ than 95% of cops. Statistically, the prison population in the US is actually slightly smarter than the general population.

Like I tell my kids, good is good and smart is smart and they aren’t the same thing. Between 1/3 and 1/2 of Nazi concentration camp, forced labor camp, and death camp kommandants had either MD or PhD degrees.

rokemronnie on August 10, 2007 at 11:19 AM

Statistically, the prison population in the US is actually slightly smarter than the general population.

Not sure what the source for that is — an admittedly cursory Googling suggests otherwise.

Sorry AP, but reading about someone being raped, regardless of how idiotic the rapist is, just doesn’t count as “cheery” in my book.

I’ve had guns in my face, and I’ve also had my life saved by pulling my own weapon. The best I can say is that every situation is different.

The first time I had a gun pulled on me was by a Mexican gang member who walked out of his front door and drew .38 on me and two high school buddies. I bolted. But could have easily been smoked.

My old roommate was ex-navy MP. A couple of knuckleheads tried to carjack him. They both had weapons brandished. He had a bag of KFC in one hand and car keys in the other. Yet he was able to get off several shots, wound one of the creeps, send the other one running….and get his chicken into the car!

One gun can easily be used against three people.

Life is often about God’s graces or luck. Whatever you call it…don’t predict it before you need it.

And this already is generating the kind of comments that will be fodder for Huffington, Kos and the rest.

Please, think. Anyone who reads those far left blogs, does not need a reason to bash HA or any normal, sane, American. That is like worrying about being badmouthed by Charles Manson and Karl Marx. And the stuff that is on those comment boards is also there for everyone to see.

I can pretty much refute that entire thesis with the simple mention of two words: Zodiac Killer.

How many criminals are Zodiac Killers? The cop was referring to the run-of-the-mill low-lifes that inhabit the inner cities and the prison system. Their mean IQ is surely below the national average. The existence of Lex Luther does not invalidate the observation that common criminals in America are not the pick of the gene pool.

jihadwatcher on August 10, 2007 at 4:16 PM

tad on August 10, 2007 at 9:26 AM

lol, Some will argue that we incarcerate petty criminals and elect sophisticated ones. anyway the Zodiac Killer was a one in a million psychopaths who was far too sophisticated/lucky to get caught, yet dumb enough not to be able to control his inner demons. I’m sure his victims didn’t hold him to such a high standard as you do, nor did those who seeked him out.

KCtheKat on August 10, 2007 at 11:34 PM

Jihadwatcher — Please, think. Anyone who reads those far left blogs, does not need a reason to bash HA or any normal, sane, American. That is like worrying about being badmouthed by Charles Manson and Karl Marx. And the stuff that is on those comment boards is also there for everyone to see.

My point was that the second comment by BKennedy on the page was based on the skin color of the “technically accused rapist”–to use Allah’s term–, and the color of those the writer predicted would come to the defense of the rapist.

I THINK the author is more concerned with the skin color of those involved (and theoretically involved in defending him) than the crime. Would any of what he made wrote have ANY relevance to the crime at issue if the picture at the top of this column were of a white rapist?

I am not worried about being badmouthed by Marx or Manson. That’s as silly as IF I were to ask if you are worried about being badmouthed by the Klan? I frequently urge friends and acquaintances to come here for good examples of grass roots conservative view points. But I worry they will not come back when they see racist comments on their screens.
