Video: “Romney Girls” enter the fray; Update: Romney girls swoon over Mitt

My hat is off to Barely Political for somehow managing to parlay one cute video into media hype so suffocating that each new tired variation on this meme that they produce is greeted by the press with anticipation befitting a new Beatles album. “Eat the Press” dropped a HuffPo-lanche on this weak attack ad parody at the crack of dawn yesterday morning, kicking off yet another round of cable news chatter and Obama Girl eye candy interviews. Here’s the clip:
And now here are a few unbearably awkward minutes from Fox & Friends this morning, where not only Mitt himself but Joe Biden are asked for reaction to the clip despite the fact that no one, including Steve, Brian, and Gretchen, had actually watched it yet. The worst part? The “Romney Girls” page at Barely Political makes clear what the clip doesn’t — that it’s a total hit job on Mitt for being a flip-flopper. And here he is talking about getting a “good spot” on YouTube. Oy.
Update: It’s 5:55 as I write this and Obama girl and all three Romney girls are being interviewed on “The Big Story.” Et tu, Gibby?
Update: I might as well capitalize on the google traffic from horndogs looking for Obama girl clips by adding this. Here you go, boys — Amber Lee Ettinger plus the Romney Girl triplets boring poor Gibby nearly to tears with inane banter. Excruciating.

Christoph, I wouldn’t go so far as to say that its a lie. Sloppy reporting and analysis perhaps, but not a willful lie so far as we know.
These videos are so stupid. Any excuse for these shows to plaster a little T&A accross the screen and refer to it as “news”. Its kind of sad, though, because you would think they could at least get that right.

Yeah, just saw the interview on Big Story. It was so lame in that the triplets were basically giving their resume on the air! I liked it though, because those girls are very cute. Especially Obama Girl.
Funny too, because John had just finished interviewing a psychologist about the dangers of our over-sexualized society on young girls!

As some of you know (and keep trying to forget), I’m running for President in 2012 or possibly 2016, depending upon the success of Burge in 2008. My war chest has recently topped $15 thanks to a lucky night of dime-ante poker, and now I’ve got the Nethigirls.
