Hillary: We must take nuclear weapons off the table — wait, Barack said what? Okay, then we shouldn’t

The second in what’s suddenly become a continuing series. One of the few tough things about blogging every day is that you wind up repeating yourself, so instead of me rehashing the myriad aspects of her phoniness, just shoot on over here and refamiliarize yourself with the checklist to which is now added her exceedingly nuanced approach to using nukes against Iran. We’re a little closer to the general election now than we were when she was first asked about this so she’s going to get her hawk on by feigning indignation that Obama would take the biggest option in the U.S. arsenal off the table. Somewhere Buzz Patterson is smiling.
Anyway, just flagging this. I’m sure we’ll be hearing on O’Reilly next Monday at around 8:40 or so how this really isn’t a big deal and she really doesn’t want to take nukes off the table and the nutroots really aren’t all that bad, etc etc etc.
Update: Meanwhile, don’t look now but Silky’s on his way towards the exit.
Update: Captain Ed predicts Hillary’s excuse: she only wants nukes off the table with respect to actual enemies who exist whereas Obama wants them off the table even hypothetically. There’s the difference between a Democratic hawk and dove.
Update: More tough, nuanced questions for the Democratic field.

I think it was Tucker that said yesterday, seems in the last ‘forum’ all the shots were at Obama, and none at Hillary – perhaps accepting her lead and angling for a position in the next Clinton administration.
It’s hard to understand why, otherwise, the candidates wouldn’t want to take her on on this ‘nuances’. I guess it’s fine if we save it up for the general.

Nothing to see here, folks. Any position she had then was only in response to the horrible Bush admin. And any position she has now is because she is just so wise—”Bow before the queen of filth, the queen of putrescence!”

“I was for it before Obama was against it!”

Hillary Clinton Campaign Strategy Playbook
Rule 1: Girl, say whatever you need to say to get elected.
Rule 2: See rule 1, girl.
Rule 3: Never, ever admit, girl, that there is a Rule 1.

That’s not helpful.

I have a prediction:
The press will refuse to call her out on this.
Yup I said it.
Zetterson on August 9, 2007 at 5:12 PM
Yup. Seriously, things like that get used by Kossacks and other Nutroots to go after Michelle and others. So quit it already.

Nah. Any position she has now is based on the first thing she asks every morning.
“What do the polls say?”

I truly do not think she has a chance to win…maybe a good run, but not POTUS. Doesn’t mean we should drop our guard though whatsoever and fight like hell to get people out to vote in 08.
She is flat scary and I have to believe in the end, American’s aren’t ready to become socialists.

Flip flopping on nukes is a pretty big deal. This should take a few points off her lead in the polls.

All things to all people at all times. Not unlike the many faces of satan. Be aware!
