That is great news, that is all we need to do is to start bringing our soldiers up on charges and convicting them. Then everytime a soldier needs to kick a door down and use violence of action (which they are trained to do) they will be second guessing themsleves and getting killed.

Jack ~~Mumra~~ Murtha made those statements during an interview on National TV – not as part of his congressional duties. I don’t think congressional immunity applies.

But then I’m not a lawyer – don’t even play one on TV (lucky for all of us…).

Of course the media will cover for Jack just like it does for the other terrorists and their allies…

Whether the charges are dropped or not, this case has already had a chilling effect on the Marines and probably they’re recruiting. People will see that they can be prosecuted for frivolous things like defending themselves if they join. That was the government’s original intent, most likely, as was the case of Ilario Pantano. These guys were kept in the strictest confinement possible for much of the time. So much for due process. I remember protests in front of the gate at Pendleton because of this. What a way to fight a ‘war.’

First of all his name is Weiner genius. Secondly that “blind pig” is the sole reason our port security isn’t being run by the United Arab Emirates. Thirdly, he has been a vocal force against illegal immigration for over 10 years. Just because the man is abrasive and confrontational does not mean he doesn’t deserve the respect and adoration of people for the good work that he does. I am afraid that the “blind pig” is more in tune with reality than you my friend.

US Constitution, Article 1, Section 9, paragraph 3: "No bill of attainder or ex post facto law shall be passed." Jack Murtha, as a member of Congress, is not allowed to proclaim any person guilty of a crime. Period. Personally, I believe that Murtha's comments went beyond the immunity privileges accorded sitting Congressmen, and that his comments were defamatory and are actionable by these 2 former defendants.

Does anyone think Murtha will even be asked for a comment on this? I would love to see how he feels about these “cold blooded murderers” having their charges dismissed. Murtha should be held accountable for his outrages accusations. I am so sick of these cowards trashing our brave soilders, and never being held accountable. The sad thing is there are a lot of people in this country who despise our troops, and everything they stand for.
