Fortune Forum alum Silky slams Hillary for Fortune cover
posted at 11:29 am on August 8, 2007 by Allahpundit
Second time in less than a week that he’s pulled the pin on a grenade for Hillary and had it blow up in his face. It’s actually a weak hit since he’s not rapping her for her association with Fortune, merely the fact that she’s perceived as pro-business, but some of the HuffPo commenters seem pretty depressed by it. Oh well.
I love that they dug up a photo of him behind a “Fortune” podium, too (pre-$400 haircut, no less). Thanks, Clinton oppo research team! I mean, HuffPo!
Update: That’s not oppo research. That’s oppo research.
“I have it on very, very good authority that major opposition research has already been conducted on Bill Clinton, and it’s going to be a massive smear campaign against him…. they are going to try to cripple Hillary through Bill.”

Blowback

He is coming across as desperate. Does anyone fall for his 2 Americas shtick? I guess with all the hypocrisy by the GW whackjobs he thought people would buy into his ‘do as I say and not as I do.’

The dems bank on short-term memory.
yo on August 8, 2007 at 11:40 AM
Well duh when you think about it I guess. I’m just wondering if he means by Democrats or Republicans. The former would be much more interesting than the latter.
She’s seemingly on cruise control for the Dem nod.

He is just jealous. He would like to see his $400 haircuts show up on more magazine covers.

Fair game. All she has to run on is his record.
Mazztek, thanks a million for that revolting link.

Mojack….You should post guffaw warnings for those of us who are at work…the entire cube farm is looking at me now!
Pulchritudinous Patriot on August 8, 2007 at 12:09 PM
For the oppo research angle, you should really go to the link with the full story and read the whole sordid affair, so to speak.
The “they” in “they are going to cripple…” are a group of former intelligence officers. See 3rd from last paragraph.

This is the aged wife of an impeached president, who claims she had no idea that her husband was molesting other women and diddling a young staffer with cigars. She’s running against a “Brother” decrying Black America and talking like a Southerner, who was raised by Whites in Hawaii after his African born father took off, and a metro-sexual, political pimple with Troll doll hair.
If the Republican party can’t come up with a candidate to beat this line-up, this country is in end-game. The experiment with democracy is over, let’s move on to strong leadership.

ok so now i am tres confused…WHO, then do the
Arianna Puffen-on-stuff types actually support in the Dem primary?
Obama? Dennis the Menace? Nutroots Ned Lamont??? WHO???
they hate the Silky One and they hate the Lady-who-wouldnt-even-be-a-Senator-much-less-a-Presidential-contender-if-her-name-wasnt-Clinton.
?????
my guess is that once she gets the nomination, HuffPo will get behind Hillary 100,000%. I dislike Edwards more every day, though.

Hey Hillary! Ya gotta love socialized medicine.

The dems have the moral high ground on the reps in 08 as far as ethics goes. (even if they didn’t, the msm would make sure they did) So, we need a candidate that has no ethics issues to speak of. I’m not sure about Rudy, but I’m pretty sure Mitt! has a decent record. I know for a fact that fred? is proud of his business as usual Washington insider behavior of hiring your family to funnel money from your PAC into their pockets.

Hey, you gotta admit, it’s better than when the dems speak, tho…

When dems and their minions attack it is showing hypocracy. When conservatives do research it is a smear. I hate lefties.
elBarto on August 8, 2007 at 2:11 PM
I loved this comment from “Misanthrope2″:
That’s true. Because an Edwards candidacy would mean a defeat so devastating that the Democratic Party might just go under, and no one’s for one-party rule.
Athanasius on August 8, 2007 at 3:44 PM
Save it for the general election please.
RightWinged on August 8, 2007 at 4:06 PM
He’s not the sharpest tool.
Christoph on August 8, 2007 at 4:13 PM
This is trypical Democratic strategy, isn’t it? Run against someone (in this case, Bill Clinton) who isn’t even running for office!!
They’re doing the same thing for Republicans, throwing in George W. Bush, who isn’t even running!
How clueless can you get!
ToddonCapeCod on August 8, 2007 at 4:59 PM
Does he have anyone, besided Mrs. Pony Phony, to help with research? Does he think nothing can hurt him with the “new center of American politics (nutroots)? Many of those commenters at HuffPo are sticking up for Silky on this one. As they did the last one. And they most likely will the next one.
PowWow on August 8, 2007 at 6:20 PM
Try actually reading the speach that he gave in 2002. He’s basically spitting in the faces of the big-timer’s a Fortune. If you read the speech, you’ll see that it is consistent with his current platform.
HuffPo made the same mistake of siting a speech without actually going through the trouble of reading it.
I know that Edwards is public enemy No. 1, here, but criticize him with accurate facts, not assumptions.
Also, review the quote from last night. That was misrepresented here and at HuffPo.
