This is where the rubber meets the road, without question. But the blatant infidelity and lack of respect for/from his children will greatly hurt him among some who would have ignored the major issues listed above.

I have massive issues with 1 & 3 and I don’t see how I could every vote for him in good conscience.

Next time maybe you should try comprehending what I wrote instead of insulting me. I KNOW she is only 17 and I KNOW she doesn’t have her own ideas. That was the point I was trying to make. Apparently you missed it. There are a lot of great men out there who STILL have bad relationships with their kids. I remember 17. I remember not having a good relationship with my father. I also remember it was because I was young and I was an idiot. My whole point is that WHATEVER her opinion is of her dad it is not NEWSWORTHY because it is no shock to anyone about the state of the Guiliani family relations. There are better things to be reporting on and this entire thread was a waste if time.

I think if we try to find the perfect conservatave candidate we are going to be waiting a long time.

I agree; I’ll settle for a non-perfect conservative… as long as they’re somewhat reliably conservative. Unfortunately Rudy doesn’t fit the bill, nor does McCain or Mitt, recent miraculous conversions aside.

It just amazes me that so many who are angry at Bush for refusing to stand up for conservative principles are currently supporting candidates who have a record of not standing for conservative principles. The top three declared candidates should’ve been booed off the stage months ago.

Excuse me if I think this says alot about Rudy. How a child feels about their father says so much about the father.

Most people who have had good men as fathers, look to their father as a hero. This is obviously not the case. She isn’t an adult with her “own ideas.” She is 17, a time where most girls adore their father.

Get a clue.

What difference would it make who I voted for? Are you suggesting people should vote for family members despite their ideological differences? I have more respect for someone who has their OWN ideas and beliefs than I do for a person who casts a vote for someone strictly because they family. Again, I ask. Why is this news and why are you wasting bandwidth on it?

She has a spokeswoman. At seventeen. I really need to catch up.

Why is this news? Why are people wasting time analyzing this? The girl is 17. Do we REALLY care how she is going to vote? When I was 22 I voted for Clinton. Just goes to show that young people don’t know a 1/4 of what they THINK they know.

Ron Reagan is strongly opposed to the war in Iraq, was for embryonic stem cell research, and voted for Kerry in ’04.

could hurt Rudy. As the current clear Republican front runner the press is going to eat Rudy alive with this slow news day/month opportunity. For them this story is just what the doctor ordered. The story will cause people to look at the candidates families. That will be very positive turn of events for Mitt. Rudy needs news to happen – NOW!

As someone already pointed out, Reagan’s kids were flaming moonbats.

True, but they always loved him.

Patti sure didn’t. They made their peace in the end, as I understand it, but there was some serious ugliness before that.

Just what times do u think we’re in? Which candidate couldn’t be there except for the times. When you find HIM, vote for him.

My father is one of the most well-read and thoughtful men that I know.

My father is also a tax-and-spend liberal union man.

We have fundamentally different views on private property and wealth and whether or not it’s the government’s job to take care of everyone.

If he were running for President, I’d have a hard time supporting him, because he believes in all the policies that I think hurt our country. If I were running for President, he’d probably feel the same way.

I’d hate to see that one on my daughter’s profile page. Talk about an awkward moment.

Regardless, I couldn’t care less what the politics of a 17 year old kid happen to be. Go Rudy.
