I think you’re on to something here. Anyone have the skinny on bats vs. loons as far as brains go? Aren’t bats generally regarded as pretty smart, adaptable, physically capable creatures? I don’t know about loons, but the name tells me they are regarded as dumb.

The more that most Republicans are tied to Bush in general and the Iraq mess in particular the better it is for dems in 2008.

Well, to voters it’s a bad thing. That’s why they’re highlighting it. They want Minnesota voters to associate Coleman with the war. This ad does a bang-up job of helping to do that.

Talk about a weird way to get your message out: there’s a series of sober, respectable American military veterans who served in Iraq, all praising Coleman for his position, and it’s supposed to work against him, and the nutroots attack the ad and try to get it removed from YouTube.

If that isn’t nuance by Marshall, I don’t know what is.
