“If his call to faith is that good, and Islam is that terrible, then he wouldn’t have to harass us and block our paths and barrage us with haranguing.”

Seriously though, I’ll be interested to see what happens if this guy and his crew actually starts bringing Muslims into the Christian faith. What the reaction will be, both on a social level from every angle, and what the reaction will on a governmental level.

“Joban points to a growing consensus that Islam is the nation’s fastest growing religion and also notes that the Quran is clear in its teachings against proselytizing.

‘So who’s forcing all those people to Islam?’ Joban asked.”

Hmmmm

Yea. I was in a bar eating with some friends. When he made the 720 I went “oh!” and all my friends looked up at the tv. When he crashed my whole table screamed “OH!!!!” and the whole bar looked up at the screen.

“Pastor George Saieg ;
In some countries, the penalty of leaving Islam is death,” he said. “I want people to know that they have freedom in this country to hear about Jesus Christ.”

I love this!
This is great, there’s not one thing CAIR dares do about it and if so much as a single hair on any of their heads is harmed, the shinola hits the fan.

If this happened all across the country imagine the possibilities.

Grab the video cameras and the Bibles and commence ta convert’n, cause its a revival tonight Honey,Halleluiah, praise the lord!
Commence that revivalat’n an get right with the Lord!

I was curious about the name Saieg (its derivation) and look what I found from CNS News from September 2005: Muslims Invited to Debate ‘Religion of Peace’ Claim

Saieg was born and raised in Sudan, and he moved to America as a young man to study at Bible college.

A major concern for him has the rapid growth of Islam among African-Americans, many of whom, he said, embraced it “because they think Islam is the religion of the black man.”

God bless this man and protect him.

“If his call to faith is that good, and Islam is that terrible, then he wouldn’t have to harass us and block our paths and barrage us with haranguing.”

Alla, I imagine you picked out this quote because you are agreeing with his thesis here. However, you neglect to remember a recent episode this week where false allegations were attributed to one ‘hateful and bigoted’ Robert Spencer with no evidence of it.

I think this guy has the right idea. I’ve heard about ‘Christians’ in Seattle (like the one who is ‘both’ Christian and Muslim). This guy seems to know a lot about the tenets of both religions and chose Christianity. Why would he be a bad guy to talk to other muslims about why he thought he needed to change religions?

It’s a good idea. As more and more come over here, we need fewere missions trips over seas. We just need to witness the Gospel here and let the Holy Spirit work.

ThackerAgency on August 4, 2007 at 12:29 AM

But the Rev. Craig R. J. Darling of Seattle First Baptist Church said that as a Christian pastor he doesn’t condone the actions of Saieg’s group, saying, “God is bigger than that and with him there’s room for all religions.”

Another buffet Christian, I see, and a particularly screechingly ignorant buffoon on top of it.

“G-d is bigger than actually asking people to, you know, believe in Him.”

And there’s the reason for any rise in conversions to Islam, right there. People simply aren’t all that interested in joining a religion where the central tenets are entirely optional.

“If his call to faith is that good, and Islam is that terrible, then he wouldn’t have to harass us and block our paths and barrage us with haranguing.”

If Islam is that superior and if its eventual dominance is so inevitable, then pray tell why you feel a need to threaten your own followers with death if they dare stray from the flock, you deranged rock-worshipper?

Misha I on August 4, 2007 at 1:35 AM

Harassing? The Imam thinks the Christians were harassing the mosque clientele? The Christians are sharing their faith out of love. Note to the Imams: Christians don’t say “convert to Christianity or die.” They just say “you’ll experience eternal separation from God if you do not chose Christ.”

So let’s review: Muslims use hostile tactics, including threat of murder, and Christians use words and love. Now tell me who is harassing.

jediwebdude on August 4, 2007 at 1:49 AM

SssHHHH! It’s one of the big secrets in the world-Muslims ARE leaving Islam and becoming Christians. Voice of the Martyrs details such efforts by former Muslims in many parts of the world. The people who hear that they can break free from the legalistic prison of Islam desire that freedom, and those in power, the Imams, fear Christianity more than any other ‘religion’.
May God bless the efforts of all of those who are trying to free Muslims from Islam.

Well, God Bless Pastor George Saieg and his fellow missionaries.

Lets just hope and pray that no one involved loses their head.

Good news AP, thanks. The war of ideas can also be fought from the bottom-up.
Beats the Tancredo method of dropping a nuke from the top-down.

The quote from the pinned Jeff Siddiqui here was just as funny as the quote from Jane Harman yesterday when she was pinned on the content of the FISA bill.

This surprised me coming from a Baptist preacher. If an Episcopal priest (especially in Seattle) said this it wouldn’t surprise me, but a Baptist?

This man should be losing his job, and if he really believed the tenats of his faith he would never say such a thing.

While on the one hand I find the inevitable weekend knock at the door by WatchTower purveyors annoying, this attempt at parking lot conversions is fair game when considering the DAWA tactics foisted upon our children via ’social studies’ classes .

There is a large amount of information available about the Islamization of public school textbooks. Of course, Daniel Pipes’ website is a good place to start. Check The Textbook League and William Bennetta, The American Textbook Council and Gilbert Sewall for starters. Search the internet using terms like Islamic indoctrination in public schools, textbooks promote Islam, Islamic dawa in public schools, Across the Centuries criticism, Serge Trifkovic Across the Centuries, Textbooks for Jihad by Lee Kaplan, Look who’s teaching Johnny about Islam by Paul Sperry, etc. . . You will find many articles and one will lead to the next and so on . . .

We still live in the greatest country in the world! Freedom to tell people about the freedom that comes from Christ is a beautiful thing. Best get after it before the ACLU succeeds in making this hate speech.

May God Bless Pastor George Saieg as he spreads the truth in love!

This weekend is Seafair in Seattle with hydroplane races and the Blue Angels performing over Lake Washington on Saturday and Sunday. Maybe the Christian group can use the Angels as tool in their conversion, along the lines of “that is what Islam has attracted to the middle east with their intolerant views and religion.”

I think Seattle is one of the least “churched” cities in the country. A lot of the churches that do exist, are very liberal in their theology. We have to go out to the suburbs to find churches that are still following the fundamentals of scripture and preaching salvation through Grace.

Mallard T. Drake on August 4, 2007 at 11:53 AM

Just an FYI, the quote is from the same Jeff Siddiqui who is on Michael Medved’s show quite often and has debated Robert Spencer there as well.
