In all seriousness, that Ford switch recall is very bad news. If you own an affected vehicle and have not had the fused switch replacement done by Ford, DISCONNECT THE CRUISE CONTROL SWITCH FROM THE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER ASAP and get your vehicle to a dealer.
The switch, as installed, is hot at all times (direct to battery, 12V) and when brake fluid leaks on the switch body, your car catches fire. It doesn’t even need to be on for this to happen.

Enrique Morones is an absolute tool. I had to hire and I had to check every new hires social. If they did not match the employee had two weeks to make it match, after that they were canned. I had one that di not match because the woman was using her married name and her social sec card had her maidne name on it. The verification is a simple phone call. A new verification system is not needed, a system in place, the phone!

More like several months, but let’s not quibble. Converting the SSN database to something relational and distributed is no trivial challenge. The last “upgrade” project at the Social Security admin wasn’t very pretty; cost overruns and late. But every journey starts with the first step.

Probably take a little longer than that. The border is several thousand miles long. But it could be done in farily short order once the op-orders are cut. And given that America is facing a massive invasion of ILLEGAL ALIENS, the Constitution requires that the United States protect its borders.

In this, you are 1000% right. In fact, I bet that the southbound traffic induced by it would be so heavy that they’d have to take a page from the Florida evacuation plan and reverse the traffic lanes that normally go north from the border to accomodate the ones wanting to go home the day after their employers start checking. ;^)
