From the Campaign for America’s Future, which is sort of the anti-DLC on the left. Or was, until Yearly Kos stole the crown.
Here’s what happens when you don’t have Larry David writing your jokes. Oof.

Made it a 1/3 of the way……painful.
Tru2my2 on August 3, 2007 at 4:46 PM
Well, that was clever…not.
Tennman on August 3, 2007 at 4:47 PM
So sad……bu-bye!!

Jason Alexander is career-dead.
Look, here’s the general rule of thumb: when a show starts to suck, they do more anti-Bush barbs. When an actor can’t get arrested he/she makes and anti-Bush statement. It’s like the new cheesy catch phrase. It’s a gimmick to get people to notice you as quickly as possible. That’s why you’ll see actors out promoting some movie no one will ever go see, say something anti-Bush and controversial; it puts them on the map.
foxforce91 on August 3, 2007 at 4:53 PM
I’ve never thought Alexander was funny. All this does is solidify my position.
Kowboy on August 3, 2007 at 4:53 PM
The premise wasn’t entirely without promise…
I like Jason Alexander, but there was way too much blatant ‘lookit me, I’m a talking point!’. Conservatives do have a sense of humor, but we like decent material too.
NeoConNews on August 3, 2007 at 4:54 PM
Wow. They really really really idolize Rove don’t they? This video reminds me of a bunch of kids making fun of the “smart kid” at school. Juvenile and dripping with jealousy.
Guardian on August 3, 2007 at 4:56 PM
That was painful.
No soup for you George!
infidel4life on August 3, 2007 at 4:59 PM
Who took the funny? Simply awful.
Here’s the good news – they PAID MONEY for this. As long as they are wasting money on this, we have a chance…

He’s baaaawld?
Cantstandsya.

Not going any further, after seeing President Bush’s
picture on the book. The comment about Rush Limbaughs
pain medication useage.Sick of hearing the same thing over and over.
It’s CRAP PERIOD.
canopfor on August 3, 2007 at 5:04 PM
Yeah, and it’s so 2003. Ooooh, we’re all dancing on Rove’s strings. That’s why the President’s shamnesty bill sailed through with nary a sniff from the right-wing media.
see-dubya on August 3, 2007 at 5:07 PM
Jason’s impersonation was hideously unimpressive especially in consideration I have never seen any of the Harry Potter movies.
allie on August 3, 2007 at 5:13 PM
Serenity now.
Zach on August 3, 2007 at 5:13 PM
Looking forward to the “Airing of Grievances” this Festivus.
KelliD on August 3, 2007 at 5:20 PM
Gad, now I can’t watch another 1/4 of Seinwave.
Grisly bad.
profitsbeard on August 3, 2007 at 5:24 PM
I’ll admit it here for all to know…I never watched the “Jerry etc. Show”… Well, I did a couple of times after the first couple of seasons just to find out what all the brew ha ha was all about, but I found it so unfunny and that George character was so obnoxious all the time he made me want to through a brick at my TeeVee.
I see little of him has changed…R.I.P indeed.
By the way …did it seem to you all that he put on a little weight?

Not that anything is wrong with that.

When does it get funny? Where’s the punch line?
Kini on August 3, 2007 at 5:28 PM
What’s the secret of comedy?
(I question the) timing.
Only a pithed frog would read lines this bad.
Who dredged this dreck up.
Roto-Reuters?
profitsbeard on August 3, 2007 at 5:28 PM
Man that sux0rd…
I prefer Jason Alexander this way…
Advertising McDLTs!
Skywise on August 3, 2007 at 5:30 PM
Not funny…and as see-dubya points out…kinda hard to call us all pawns of the evil Rovemort, when Shamnesty got the “avada kedavra” from us plebian muggles.
Get a new script, folks….this one is so rotten it stinks.
tickleddragon on August 3, 2007 at 5:30 PM
hehe…like a dungbomb, to complete the Potter metaphor.
tickleddragon on August 3, 2007 at 5:32 PM
More Dennis Miller please? It IS Friday afternoon!! Did we make you mad, AP?
RushBaby on August 3, 2007 at 5:35 PM
Beefarino!
profitsbeard on August 3, 2007 at 5:38 PM
Jason Alexander is a one trick pony. The only thing he did well was play himself in Seinfeld.
Yeah, Yeah, I’ve seen him dance and sing, and he sucks.
TheSitRep on August 3, 2007 at 5:41 PM
Who’d have thought Michael Richards would only do the second most embarrassing thing as a Seinfeld alum.
mattshu on August 3, 2007 at 5:46 PM
No matter how outlandish the joke, in order for something to be considered funny, there has to be a kernel of truth contained in the joke that people can identify with.
This performance contained only fabrications and moonbat fantasy.
The only truth contained in this pathetic performance is the kind dreamed up by the “truthers” on the left.
How pathetic that Jason Alexander would throw in with that bunch of moonbats. His career must really be circling the drain.

that was like a merry miller, ashlee simpson duet with keanu reeves doing an english accent as backup.
jummy on August 3, 2007 at 5:52 PM
This was right the left-wing equivalent of the half-hour news hour.
see-dubya on August 3, 2007 at 6:01 PM
So, how long before lefties start referring to us as mudbloods?
ZK on August 3, 2007 at 6:07 PM
The most important element of comedy is truth. Rush Limbaugh scared of Al Franken? Trent Lott working to hurt the Democrats? They’ve taken their artistic license a little too far.
Jim-Rose on August 3, 2007 at 6:14 PM
That was really bad. I didn’t get it. Why was he wearing a cape?
terryannonline on August 3, 2007 at 6:21 PM
Because he’s an edward.
TheSitRep on August 3, 2007 at 6:37 PM
If you were joking, forgive me…but in case that’s a serious question.
Not a cape…it’s a cloak. As in a wizard’s cloak. He’s Rovemort – like the villain in HARRY POTTER, Voldemort.
tickleddragon on August 3, 2007 at 6:51 PM
tickledragon,
No, I wasn’t joking. I haven’t read or seen Harry Potter so I didn’t get the reference but now I know. I should probably read this piece of pop literature. Huh?
terryannonline on August 3, 2007 at 6:54 PM
Didn’t that Debbie Shooshoo chick(too lazy to try to spell her crazy foriegn sounding name) think that Jason is the head of some wild ass conspiracy?
TBinSTL on August 3, 2007 at 6:55 PM
I’ll warn you that I’m biased, before I answer the question.
Yes, it’s a very enjoyable series. Easy to read, never slow. And the movies are as enjoyable as the books. Again, just my opinion (but I guess I share it with millions, eh?)
Just finished reading the final book 2am this morning.
tickleddragon on August 3, 2007 at 7:01 PM
Seems to fit, don’t it? And if anyone is like Voldemort…
check it: Hilldamort.
tickleddragon on August 3, 2007 at 7:03 PM
I don’t get it. He puts on a cape and then starts droning on about how evil Republicans are, with a few terms from Harry Potter thrown in completely at random.
Of course I can understand if somebody has no talent and spoils a joke. But I can’t for the life of me see what it is here that somebody even thought was supposed to be funny in the first place.
logis on August 3, 2007 at 7:09 PM
Not very funny when Costanza tries to do politics. And this ain’t the first time. He’s involved with a left-wing group that equates Palestinian terrorists with innocent Israelis. That’s why I call him, “PalestineFeld.” He and I had a dust-up over it on the Stern Show. Here are details of Jason Alexander and his group, “One Voice” and its enabling and activities with terrorists and terror supporters.
Debbie Schlussel on August 3, 2007 at 7:20 PM
Is this another one of those half a brain stories?
Zorro on August 3, 2007 at 7:34 PM
The shrinkage has moved from his Johnson to his brain.
Unclever, unfunny. Michael Richards, Jason Alexander…will Julia be next to flame out?
Jeffersonian on August 3, 2007 at 9:18 PM
Who is this? Uncle Leo?
jeffNWV on August 3, 2007 at 10:36 PM
The first I became aware of Alexander’s politics was on Real Time one night. When I see there’s going to be a “celebrity” on, I put myself through the misery of watching Maher to see if they get added to my list. This guy passed with flying colors.
BTW O/T a bit, but related to Rove. Roseanne Barr has a blog. On it she suggest that Rove is working for Mitt Romney. And electing Mitt will get you more Rove. I couldn’t sleep one night and found that. I just figured, we were talking about lib celebs.
PowWow on August 3, 2007 at 10:39 PM
Yuck.
sinsing on August 3, 2007 at 11:06 PM
Ewwww. He looks like a honeydew melon.
bloggless on August 3, 2007 at 11:08 PM
This is why Jerry did most of the writing. And acting.
bloggless on August 3, 2007 at 11:10 PM
This is the first I have known of Alexander’s politics. He was annoying, obnoxious and not funny before I knew and he has retained those qualities.
deepdiver on August 3, 2007 at 11:16 PM
Each of the three co-stars tried to make it in their own sitcoms.
Shudder.
Ordinarily, I’d say rabid leftist politics should be left out of show business. But reciting the Communist Manifesto over and over again for thirty minutes each week would have been a decided improvement over what those losers came up with.
logis on August 4, 2007 at 12:02 AM
WOW! This was nearly as good as the DNC piece the other day on delivering the life preserver to the FDT campaign.
Why, this was so good that I think they must have as-Sahab doing their video production work for them….. Not sure what kindergarten they got to write the script for them though.
LegendHasIt on August 4, 2007 at 1:38 AM
Shoulda seen Alexander suck up to Dan Rather on that show.
Was puke-worthy.
Maher used to be somewhat reasonable when he did Politically Incorrect. But now. Anyone see his new stand-up act? It’s about as funny as Rovemort.
Zach on August 4, 2007 at 2:11 AM
I watched the episode of Thank God You’re Here in which he improv-spoofed a Star Trek type show, and he couldn’t even get through that without throwing in a line about looking like “that guy from Seinfeld.” Make up your mind: either embrace the typecasting or try to produce something memorable to help us think of you as something other than George Costanza. I don’t sense a happy person in him at all.
Captain Scarlet on August 4, 2007 at 4:49 AM
Perfect definition of Jason Alexander
Wade on August 4, 2007 at 1:16 PM
Even Nikki Finke is cringing.
