Great moments in fantasy baseball history: Rick “Wild Thing” Vaughn versus Roy “The Natural” Hobbs

9/11 conspiracy theorist faces dinosaur Hollywood liberal with a trip to the World Series on the line. It’s like the Stan Belinda/Francisco Cabrera at bat and the Cindy Sheehan/Hugo Chavez photo op all rolled into one!

They really should have handed it off to that mash-up genius, though. Click the image to watch.

“Go pick me out a winner Bobby.”

Go grab some pine, Roy.

Barstoolsports is now my favorite blog.

Heh. Major League is still one of my favorite flicks, Charlie Sheen’s moonbattery and trutherism notwithstanding.

I must confess to enjoying Two And a Half Men, too, from time to time.

Always good to see the Tribe win.

Frank Nitti on August 2, 2007 at 11:14 PM

Too bad he couldn’t have struck out, had the bat slip out of his hands, and beaned Sheen. Both would have been out.

Lenin meets Abbey Hoffman. Douchefest.

There is no winner.

Enjoyable clip. My twelve year old son has seen both movies, and got a kick out of it, too!

Whoever wins, we still lose?

I prefer losing to ML.

How about this:

Wild Thing throws one up and in, buzzing The Natural under his chin and dumping him on his as$. Forgetting his example for all those young boys, The Natural charges the mound and takes Wild Thing down. The two slug it out as both dugouts empty and a melee ensues. In the end both players are tossed out and suspended for the World Series.

Pretty good, I would have preferred that Roy Hobbs smacked that 101mph heater into the scoreboard though

Nice job. I was expecting the Sopranos ending with Journey.

The eternal generational locking of horns. Love it.
Isn’t the crowd singing to an old Jimmie Hendrix song….renewed?

I can’t imagine a leftist striking out anybody. But then again, he was pitching to another leftist.

Awesome!

Also loved the Francisco Cabrera reference. Will never forget watching the game in my dorm room at the Univ. of Georgia, seeing and hearing 20,000 drunk “students” going crazy when Breem slid home safe.

I can’t stand Wilfred Brumley.
