Dem Rep. Pomeroy: We must not impeach this “clown” whom I can’t stand!
posted at 5:14 pm on August 1, 2007 by Allahpundit
He gets in her face a little more than is warranted but if you had “idiot liberals” like this tailing you all the time to ask moronic questions about why you don’t pursue divisive political battles when you’re on the verge of another electoral landslide, your patience would run thin too. It happened with Obey, it happened with this tool, it’ll happen again.
I like Pelosi’s answer best: I would do something about it, if only I weren’t Speaker of the House.

Idiot liberals are not fooling anybody with this BS. If they could impeach Bush, they definitely would. Make excuses is the fate of a loser. This Congress is a gift from God for the ’08 elections. A great reminder of why the dims do not deserve power.

Are we there yet ae we there yet are we there yet ?
Seriously a large percentage of the democratic party is going to be lost on January 16th 2009.
William Amos on August 1, 2007 at 5:20 PM
Does this look like a serious attempt by the extreme left to ambush the democrats with impeachment demands? Are they just going after all democrats with this tactic? It’s interesting the answer he gave was to find a poll from his state that says his constituents want an impeachment. On what grounds I ask.
Is this the act of desperation?
Kini on August 1, 2007 at 5:29 PM
Ah, what distinguished statesmen we have in Congress these days! How asinine. I wonder if this guy’s ever even met Bush? I have to doubt it.

58 percent of the people say no fat chicks too.
BelchSpeak on August 1, 2007 at 5:34 PM
Fat, drunk, ugly and stupid is no way to go through life, young lady…
Jaibones on August 1, 2007 at 5:38 PM
God I love this country. Anyone can call the president a “clown”, or the reps and sens clowns, and life just goes on. It’s almost too good to be real. I pinch myself often for this much freedom, with much, much gratitude for those who protect it for us.
Entelechy on August 1, 2007 at 5:38 PM
Ummm, how about:
“I do not want to TALK about impeachment of our President during a time of was because it borders on sedition and treason.”
I would love to hear a Dimocrat say that just once.
Not holding my breath.
On-my-soap-box on August 1, 2007 at 5:41 PM
Ah I love the logic of the looney left. Give them more video tape and they will just get themselfs tangled up.
TunaTalon on August 1, 2007 at 5:45 PM
Seconded. Call Bush all the names you want. That’s your right. But maybe if you put a tenth more effort into working on a solution in the middle-east then asking stupid questions of your representatives we’d get a lot more done.
Skywise on August 1, 2007 at 5:49 PM
This is tag team badgering by two fat ladies.
Kini on August 1, 2007 at 5:53 PM
The sad corollary is that so many people take this much freedom completely for granted, with the idiots in the video very likely falling into that category. They are clueless as to why they have so much freedom, or that they even have so much freedom, and they haven’t even the foggiest notion of what real oppression looks like.
But don’t let that discourage you from reminding people of how lucky they are.

Republics aren’t run by opinion polls.
John from OPFOR on August 1, 2007 at 5:57 PM
Earl Pomeroy, he is not exactly popular in North Dakota, but North Dakotans are nice people, and they dont want to toss someone out who they see as a nice kind of guy.
Once they elect someone, it takes a lot for them to want to throw that person back out, and so far he hasnt quite gotten that far.
firepilot on August 1, 2007 at 6:02 PM
The the majority of the people and I don’t like the prez, thus, it’s only logical we impeach. What kind of argument is that?
terryannonline on August 1, 2007 at 6:07 PM
I voted for El Presidente Booosh twice.
I like his stance on terror even though I think it is half assed.
(I would end The Jihad it in a matter of days, not years)
But His lobbying for the shamnesty deal has left me unsupportive.
Not securing our borders( which would take days not years) is
Gross dereliction of duty
I think he may find there are allot of conservatives that feel this way. If the Dembos move for impeachment I ain’t sayin’ nuttin’.
TheSitRep on August 1, 2007 at 6:10 PM
His first mistake was attempting to carry on a logical discussion with those brain dead morons. It was obvious that his values are derived from polls regardless of how wrong or biased they may be.
This idiot is a true danger to the Republic.
rplat on August 1, 2007 at 6:22 PM
Or they could more effort into looking like women and then they wouldn’t be so angry and frustrated.
Zach on August 1, 2007 at 6:26 PM
On what grounds can they call for impeachment?
Kini on August 1, 2007 at 6:29 PM
Wow, a democrat that understands that this is a representative republic! He better watch out, he is going to lose his communist party card.
conservnut on August 1, 2007 at 6:32 PM
Get that cover OFF your head, b!tch! Brave men whom you hold in contempt have died to give you the right to pester your congressman about matters of which you have only the vaguest constitutional clue and the LEAST you can do is to NOT treat a part of the uniform they held dearer than life as a FASHION ACCESSORY!
Sorry about the soapbox, folks, but idiots who think the country is governed by opinion polls and the voices in their heads and who will spit upon those who keep them safe while trying to exploit them for their own selfish gain drive me up a wall. The founding fathers wanted to limit the franchise for a VERY good reason, and while I think the land requirement is somewhat outmoded, Heinlein’s idea of an intelligence/sanity test is looking better every year. If it weren’t for the whole quis custodet custodes (or rather tests the testers in this case) issue, I’d almost be all for it. Almost.

Well I have to say I like the fact that he is representing his people rather than just doing what he wants.
ArmyAunt on August 1, 2007 at 7:16 PM
Also, these people aren’t that bright.
She’s citing an opinion poll as justification for impeachment.
But 62% of Americans supported the invasion of Iraq in March 2003.
I’ll make a deal with her. She comes out and says the invasion of Iraq was justified under her impeccable “the American people are always right” logic, and I’ll consider impeachment.

The Clown, Sir, is you! And you alone. For the sake of mankind you should go outside and kill yourself!
NEMETI IN SYRACUSE on August 1, 2007 at 9:17 PM
I think he argued with these “clowns” because they interrupted his phone call!
Thank Gawd he knows he still represents just ND, and not anyone else. *Whew*

For revenge for clinton. NOTHING else.

Why do so many of these people come off as whiny, screechy 5 year olds. It’s horible. That YearlyKos oughtta be a blast.
PowWow on August 1, 2007 at 11:38 PM
Being a politician has to be difficult. That guy can’t even walk down the street without buttholes trying to talk to him about impeaching a president who to my knowledge is guilty of neither high crimes nor misdemeanors.
krabbas on August 2, 2007 at 12:00 AM
Being a former North Dakotan, with a lot of family still up there, I can say most are too busy trying to scratch out a living to be able pay much attention. Many others cannot override the voting nitwits in Fargo or Grand Forks, so they have to put up with whoever is sent to represent those two cities.
Most others have no idea what their representatives are doing once outside the state…they act so caring and conservative while in state, but once out, they quickly forget who sent them.
For an example, look back at any video of when Daschle was still in office to see what a lapdog Kent Conrad had become.
Pomeroy once wrote a letter to the editor of many newspapers in North Dakota trying to attack the President for soldiers having a tough time getting to their home towns while on leave from Iraq. The letter was full of lies. He hasn’t pulled a similar stunt since.
Here’s to many more hippie-chick pie-wagons questioning those whacky defeatocrats.

When Bush leaves office on January 20, 2009 (and not a day earlier), what are the moonbats going to do then? Who are they going to hate?
They won’t crawl back under the rocks they came out from under. They’ve tasted blood and won’t be satisfied sitting on the sidelines.
georgej on August 2, 2007 at 5:58 AM
The obvious answer to all of our questions is….go out in Nov. ’08, vote for everyone with an (R) after his or her name (even if you have to hold your nose to do it), and the country may be saved. Otherwise, the Socialist Democrap Party will be completely in charge and the U.S. Constitution will be tossed out of the window. You will be taxed beyond belief, we will become a complete welfare state, and individualism will be replaced with “the common good”.
lynnv on August 2, 2007 at 8:26 AM
I move to nominate Rep Earl Pomeroy to have his picture posted next to the definition of the word “jerk” in the upcoming revised edition of Webster’s Dictionary! Anyone want to second the motion?
pilamaye on August 2, 2007 at 1:36 PM
I agree with lynnv- I am disgusted with our republican representatives and senators but they beat the other choice.
Would be nice to replace incumbents with other republicans though and try a new batch since the ones we have are using the system to enrich themselves -no different than the democrats. We need all new people! Can’t imagine that being a choice. If we don’t vote and motivate others to vote we will get a sociallist system of Hillary or Obama.
