I admit it — it made me a little misty. Got a problem with that?

Been saving this all day, incidentally. Just for you.

Didn’t slubs dedicate this to ace’s half-day retirement?

daveintexas on July 31, 2007 at 10:05 PM

lol. I got a great laugh out of this. I saw this on Ace yesterday or this morning, as said to myself, wow this is terrible - I’m glad AP didn’t put it up. Seriously. That’s awesome, you were just saving it.

Spirit of 1776 on July 31, 2007 at 10:05 PM

Good ,now I have chocolate rain out of my head.

TheSitRep on July 31, 2007 at 10:05 PM

I totally missed it in on Ace’s site. Damn. I’ve been scooped!

Allahpundit on July 31, 2007 at 10:06 PM

You really hate Ace, don’t you?

Blake on July 31, 2007 at 10:06 PM

Ace is jacking a Bradley Fighting Vehicle right now…

Bad Candy on July 31, 2007 at 10:08 PM

I wanna hear him sing OKLAHOMA!

TheSitRep on July 31, 2007 at 10:08 PM

So, when is Allahpundit going to take that “special lady” to a Tay Zonday concert, hmmm?

Blake on July 31, 2007 at 10:19 PM

I like the Christopher Plummer version better.

Joshua P. Allem on July 31, 2007 at 10:19 PM

So, when is Allahpundit going to take that “special lady” to a Tay Zonday concert, hmmm?

There is no special lady, alas. Although the soaring basso of Tay Zonday might be enough of a lure to get me to go alone.

Allahpundit on July 31, 2007 at 10:22 PM

I wanna hear him sing OKLAHOMA!

TheSitRep on July 31, 2007 at 10:08 PM

Hearing him sing “I’m just a girl who cain’t say no” would warm my heart for sure.

Maybe you could take your kitty.

Speaking of which, I think I figured out Allah’s secret Identity, a guy who we never see, sits in front of a computer and has a cat. Gotcha!

Bad Candy on July 31, 2007 at 10:37 PM

Just don’t let him get anywhere near Faith Hill’s groupies or his voice is likely to be raised a couple of octaves.

Guardian on July 31, 2007 at 10:46 PM

Breaking on Fox: Bradley spotted rambling down the streets of NYC looking for stray dogs basking in the moonlight and AllahPundits!

TheBigOldDog on July 31, 2007 at 10:56 PM

We’re all waiting for Zonday’s keyboard-driven cover of King Diamond’s “The Family Ghost” off the Abigail CD.

The bedroom was ice co-o-o-l-l-d
But the fire was bur-ning sti-i-i-ll!

Oh please, you and Ace will be hand in hand with your cowboy hats on.

Anyway, let me be beat the newbies to this: “What is this crap!? I came to this site for political news, I don’t want to see this!”

RightWinged on July 31, 2007 at 11:00 PM

Eh…I’m partial to Tay’s Turbo-Tax-a-rific Get It Back. I’m no fan of rap, but his song has permanently altered my worldview. :-)

Medea on July 31, 2007 at 11:02 PM

*I move away from the blog to breath.

Waive two tickets to a Tay Zonday concert around, and the ladies will all be asking you out.

Blake on July 31, 2007 at 11:13 PM

That brought tears to my eyes.

And not in a good way.

so here ya go .

Mojack420 on July 31, 2007 at 11:19 PM

sorry for the back to back post still trying to figure out the link button.
“The Family Ghost”

Mojack420 on July 31, 2007 at 11:21 PM

With some formal training he could actually be pretty damn good.

Killgore Trout on July 31, 2007 at 11:32 PM

I hear there is a certain fitness personality free that day…..

RW Wacko on July 31, 2007 at 11:41 PM

Great. Just great. Ace now has to kill AP, go to the slammer, and I’m out TWO of my daily reads.

Kadnine on July 31, 2007 at 11:43 PM

Killgore Trout on July 31, 2007 at 11:32 PM

Yeah, I understand there are some great places where he will get hands-on experience with a variety of diesel engines and power systems.

Egregious link whorage:

What happens when Tay Zonday’s voice changes?

See-Dub knows all.

see-dubya on August 1, 2007 at 12:28 AM

Damnit! This site would be so much better if an alternative video hosting site were available.

rightside on August 1, 2007 at 1:15 AM

The guy is moonbat though. His name is Adam Bahner, if you google him, you will see some of his nonsense he spews.

firepilot on August 1, 2007 at 1:47 AM

The guy is moonbat though.

Heart-ache!

someone on August 1, 2007 at 2:32 AM

Oh hell…

God bless you Allah

John from OPFOR on August 1, 2007 at 2:41 AM

I think this video is more Hot Air worthy, its some elderly people singing “My Generation”

Sharp stick in the eye can make the eyes mist

So can a swift punch to the snoot

Karache is Japans revenge for the constant firebombings

EricPWJohnson on August 1, 2007 at 4:32 AM

Enough, already. Either let’s take up a collection to 1) get this guy the lessons he needs to refine his instrument or 2) take away his computer.

This clip proves he’s really a Roger Whittaker wannabe.

Captain Scarlet on August 1, 2007 at 6:27 AM

Okay… for someone who thinks Red State Update is stupid this is getting pretty f*cking ridiculous with posting this weirdo all the time.

thareb on August 1, 2007 at 7:24 AM

Did he actually sing “small and VITE?” Good Lord, man!

robblefarian on August 1, 2007 at 7:26 AM

I can’t wait to hear Tay Zonday sing “Pork Chop Rain” for our friends at the pet food factory.

You’ve got to let go and let the dulcet tones of Tay Zonday transport you to the cooool zone…

Slublog on August 1, 2007 at 8:58 AM

Tay Zonday is the new Barry White!

No…”Surry with the Fringe on Top.”

The wheels are yellow, the upholstery’s brown, the dashboard’s genuine leather…

Miss_Anthrope on August 1, 2007 at 9:47 AM

This young man has a serious instrument & needs someone to help get him financed & into a serious Conservatory. He needs training….& more ‘Classical’ repertoire because his voice has gorgeous color & he has real ‘presence’. His is a raw talent w/ a potentially huge operatic voice….& his pitch is on.
I hope he is found & I HOPE he trains Classical.

Tay, if you are reading this!…get yourself into a serious music school or Conservatory. Work those scales & long tones,& begin to learn the songs of Charles Ives {http://www.musicweb.uk.net/Ives/WK_Songs.htm } & Gabriel Faure { http://www.classicalarchives.com/main/f.html#FAURE }.
Great & Good Luck!!!! La Gringa

lobosan5 on August 1, 2007 at 9:57 AM

Maybe he is a moonbat, I haven’t tried to look up his politics. He certainly has a strong baritone voice. Like some others said, with some professional help he could be quite a singer.

2theright on August 1, 2007 at 10:28 AM

He can benefit from voice lessons — we all could. However, I think people underestimate what it takes to be a serious classical singer.

Blake on August 1, 2007 at 12:49 PM

unless, of course, one is a conservatory-trained musician/singer.
This Kid has a REAL!!voice….
there is no under-estimation here.

lobosan5 on August 1, 2007 at 1:15 PM

Uh, half the time he can’t sing on key.

Blake on August 1, 2007 at 2:30 PM

My mother was a nun for 14 years. Thanks to ‘The Sound of Music’, I can’t imagine how many times I’ve heard that song. Not like that though.

Which may explain why it makes AllahP a “little misty” when he hears it.

Blake on August 1, 2007 at 7:42 PM

“Uh, half the time he can’t sing on key.” Blake on August 1, 2007 at 2:30 PM

no….the few pitch discrepancies were due to breath control…also, his technique is flawed & in need of correction….he has the usual bad habits of a novice…but the voice is real, the is no impugning his sincerity & he clearly has the drive to be found. Really, that is most of the battle.
