The quote you used doesn’t show someone demeaning you as a gay conservative but rather stating the obvious.

Gay people, in general, do not vote Republican. There’s nothing to argue with there.

Besides, you’re not even the only gay conservative here.

And yeah, I have to agree on that one. Conservatives in general aren’t always Christians. Homosexuality isn’t really a conservative issue except that, by definition, conservatives would conserve tradition by not changing the way marriage is defined.

Homosexuality is most likely Nature’s way of contolling overpopulation through a recessive gene expressed whenever the organism senses overcrowding.

People should be glad that it occurs.

It self-regulates over overuse of resources.

The problem, now, is that technology has done an end-run around Mother N. with in vitro, etc.

The water tables of the world are being overtaxed by local runaway population growth, expecially in areas where they cannot afford desalinization to counterbalance the loss.

Nature’s ways of checkmating our follies are as harsh as we are arrogant.

I’m sure Scott T. Beauchamp would agree.

Conservatives don’t think homosexuality is a sin.
However many Christians do, be they lib or con.

I am an ultra-conservative and not a Christian but rather a deist.
I don’t think it is a sin so much as it is just plain disgusting.
Hey, to each his own I say.
Just don’t come crying for my tax money to cure some disease that you go out of your way to get.

Take a look at the vitriol towards homosexuals in other Hot Air threads Bryan, and you’ll know what I mean.

You make a great point. But, I think conservatives aspire for a perfect world. We dont always live up to the standards we wish to aspire America to be. We all fall short. I look at port almost daily, but I would want to elect someone in office that aspires to rid the world of porn, that is not hypocrisy, that is in search of a perfect world.

Conservatives think Homosexuality is a sin, we aspire for all to be heterosexuals, to replenish the Earth, but most of us dont hate homosexuals, we may be disgusted by the act, but we dont hate them. We all know that there are some honorable games that may be less sinful than ourselves, but that does not mean we cant aspire for this to be a world without homosexuality, sorry, it is just not a normal act. Everyone knows it, though some want to deny it.

This is not a perfect world, and too your point, we need to get along, hate the sin, love the sinner. As I said, I sin almost daily, so do homosexuals, God does not tell a difference in the sins, they are both sins. As far as we know, he may never even look at porn now, he may of been able to break that sin, and good for him.

I think the whole point is, Conservatives elect Conservatives to office to better the world, to get us as close to sinless as it can get. Liberals want more sin, more homosexuals, more dead babies, more sex, more lust, more greed, you name it, they are for it. Conservatives ar against it, but get caught up in the sins. That does not make them a hypocrite, it makes them a sinner.

He has also been enlisted in the military for a scant two and a half years, and he still hasn’t promoted past the rank of Private. I wonder why… maybe he just isn’t the least bit interested in advancing his job/career, because it isn’t a job/carrer, it’s an OPPORTUNITY with a lot more at stake than a simple military enlistment.

Does anyone else think it’s even a remote possiblilty that since Beauchamp’s married to a New Republic staffer, that he joined up in the military solely to have this opportunity and this whole thing’s a fix?
