It shows that corruption, like bipartisanship, crosses party lines. I agree with term limits, but don’t know how we can be guaranteed, competency, with a wave of Freshman or Sophomore legislators. I do recognize the hypocrisy of the Democrats when it comes to their own versus the Republicans. That gets down to….why is that the case, whether they are the majority or not? What mechanism within government, insulates the Democrats from the same scrutiny that Republicans are under? The Jefferson cold cash scandal, probably wouldn’t have gone as far as it has, if it wasn’t for all the light shined on it by bloggers and talk radio. Perhaps, we’re not shining as much light on the Democratic leadership in a meaningful way. There is a concerted effort, behind the scenes, and from the MSM, to look in any crack or crevace, to bring down the Republicans. To the Republicans, it is unsportsmanlike, to do the same.

‘Rats or Repubs, corruption is truly an equal-opportunity ‘feature’ of some folks. There’s money to be had, and some just can’t help putting their hands out.

I think about half of Congress should probably be in jail.

And the Republican party wonders why its fund raising is down. They need to clean house NOW. I’m sick and tired of having my hard earned dough go to the likes of Stevens, Specter, Snowe, Hagel, etc. Unless they start enforcing the conservative agenda then they are running candidates no different than the Dems.

I know this is unrealistic, but I’ll say it anyway. Time for a third party. The Elephant is wounded and could be dying.

And Dirty Harry Reid used taxpayer dollars to build a bridge to land in Nevada that he owns to increase the value of that land. Oh wait….he’s a Democrap and can do this. It’s the Republicans who need to be investigated. And Hillary’s past stock deals increased her net worth because she can anticipate the market better than anyone else. Insider trading? Fahgetaboutit!

This better be a case of taking down a Republican, then taking down another…then going after Feinstein, the big fish. Showing that the justice department investigates both sides of the aisle.
You may hear a little less bravado from the left side of the aisle…

Dems are not objective or intellectually honest enough to hold there leaders to a high standards.
But when a Republican is found to be unethical, Dems have to stand at the back of the line to punch ‘em because Conservatives are the first ones to get their licks in…
Example:
Barney Frank aka Hot-bottom , D pass
Bob Packwood , R busted
Marian Berry aka Crack Master B , D pass and pass
Duke Cunningham R busted
Bill Clinton aka Der Slickmeister D Pass

The conflict against the dems is like combating terrorist, they play by different rules.
We abide by Geneva conv. Rules but they are exempt.

But, I guess taking the high road is not the easiest road.

I think abuse of the public trust should be a hanging offense. It is tantamount to treason!

Well, If nothing else, the last couple of years have been useful in one way: They have re-taught me to distrust ANY politician, regardless of which party they may be affiliated.

Tar and feather them all, then lock them up for a year for every dollar they have acquired or directed to their friends in any dishonest way.

I will never forget his crying on the floor over the bridge to nowhere. Republicans can do better. Maybe we can get someone with enough credibility and charisma to push ANWAR drilling. That would be better for the last frontier than any pork.
