Some of these quotes seem like it paints a person that would say and do whatever it takes to get what she wants. Notice that Hillary asked for copies of them. Damage control? This is not the last time we hear about the letters IMO

“Sunday was lethargic from the beginning as I wallowed in a morass of general and specific dislike and pity for most people but me especially,” Ms. Rodham reported in a letter postmarked Oct. 3, 1967.

I’m not sure that I believe her when she says she “dislikes” herself (although I don’t doubt that she was and is filled with self-indulgent self-pity) but her dislike and pity for everyone else is quite shocking.

I don’t know about you all, but it has never crossed my mind to “dislike most people”. Why does she want to lead us if she has such disdain for us?

It must be the “pity” part. And of course the other “p” word – “power”.

In her early letters, Ms. Rodham refers to her involvement with the Young Republicans, a legacy of her upbringing. In October of her freshman year, she dismisses the local chapter as “so inept,” which she says she might be able to leverage to her own benefit. “I figure that I may be able to work things my own way by the time I’m a junior so I’m going to stick to it,” she writes.

Already working things her own way. Scheming Compassionate Misanthrope? The worse kind.

The self-described “compassionate misanthrope” struggled to establish her role in a world she calls “absurd.” After experimenting with characters such as “alienated academic, involved pseudo-hippie, educational and social reformer” without gaining the “absurd happiness” she sought, Hillary ultimately adopts a proactive “actor” persona for use on the civic action stage. No wonder she’s such a gifted political chameleon.

Her supporters love to tell us how important Hillary is to America’s future. She is indeed a very special person, the “little girl in the sunlight” constantly monitored by “heavenly movie cameras watching my every move.” This is an ego that would explode Freud’s head.

To hell with introspection in an absurd world, as it is just “too depressing”. Instead, Hillary happily finds a light burden, her mission and salvation: “The easiest way out is to stop any thought approaching introspection and to advise others whenever possible.” This explains her total lack of shame, since her conscience was removed long ago.

What a grand explanation of Hillary’s pathologies and her totalitarianism! As pronounced on Sixty Minutes in 1992, she rejected “stayed home and baked cookies” as a career path – to instead pursue happiness as a benevolent dictator.

Oh, but don’t share Safire’s concern that Hillary is a “congenital liar” – she’s only acting.

Compassionate Misanthrope is just so perfect, and I agree that only Leftists use the word “bourgeois”.

Her disdain for the Middle Class is particularly striking – the very people she wants to sucker into voting for her (or rather her “Smorgasborg” of personalities).

She seethes at her parents’ refusal to let her spend a weekend in New York (“Their reasons — money, fear of the city, they think I’ve been running around too much, etc. — are ridiculous”) and fantasizes about spending the summer between her sophomore and junior years in Africa, only to dismiss the notion, envisioning “the scene with my father.”

For me, this says it all. One of the main foundations of the psyche of the modern leftist is a hate of the father. Combine this with the guilt used by Judeo-Christian as a control mechanism and you have a recipe for a self-hating, societally suicidal modern liberal.

At least Shrillary had a sense of humor about her developing self-hate,

“Random thinking usually becomes a process of self-analysis with my ego coming out on the short end”

Was that sort of writing really indicative of the level of a Wellesley student?

Sad.

“…there is a smorgasbord of personalities spread before me,…”

In other words: “I don’t intend to be one genuine person. I will be whatever ‘personality’ suits my goals at the time.”

God help us all if Scheming Sybil gets elected as President.

Misanthrope? Wrong again Shrillary. The term misandrist is far more accurate. She hated her father back then (in the ’60s) and probably stills hates him today. She clearly hates her husband. Bubba was the perfect mate for her, since he generously supplied her with all the vindication that she needed (in order to justify her hatred of men).

Dear Bad Candy, she wishes to remain the Capitalist/Bourgeois she is, and shove socialism down our throats. If she were a true humanitarian, socialist or not, she and the Kennedys, the Hollywoodites, etc. would give most of what they have to the poor anonymously and shut up. I know you know this but it’s good to differenciate. This is why I hate/despise the idealistic socialists/communists so much; none of them actually live the life they preach.

“Last week I decided that even if life is absurd why couldn’t I spend it absurdly happy?” she wrote in November of her junior year. She then challenges herself to “define ‘happiness’ Hillary Rodham, acknowledged agnostic intellectual liberal, emotional conservative.”

This was my favorite one…though the misanthrope thing should be plastered on her.

The letters prove that she was miserable, consumed-with-self and snooty as a youngster already…and the author makes too many excuses for youth. Nothing has changed, except she wishes to exercise power over others, the world really. That includes the intellectual and the rich, btw.

I once had a bourgeois mind.

In her book, however, Hillary does write about some of her radical associates. She notes a meeting in 1969 with David Mixner of the Vietnam Moratorium Committee, an anti-Vietnam war protest group that came under investigation by the House Internal Security Subcommittee for its involvement with communists and backing from Hanoi. Mixner would go on to become a leading homosexual activist, adviser to and friend of President Clinton. He was credited with delivering some six million votes to Clinton in 1992.

Former conservative David Brock’s book, The Seduction of Hillary Rodham, links Hillary with Robert Borosage, a Yale Law School graduate and one of the founders of the Yale Review, who would later become director of the Institute for Policy Studies (IPS), a Marxist think tank. Borosage is now co-director of the Campaign for America’s Future, a group trying to move the Democratic Party further to the political left.

Hillary writes about her involvement with the Children’s Defense Fund, headed by Marian Wright Edelman, but omits any mention of the New World Foundation (NWF). Hillary followed Edelman’s husband, Peter, as chairman of the NWF. Mrs. Clinton chaired the group during a time, 1982-1988, when it gave grants to the Committee in Solidarity with the People of El Salvador, a front group for the communist terrorists; the National Lawyers Guild, a one-time-identified communist front; and the Christic Institute, an extreme left-wing group of lawyers which practiced “legal terrorism” against citizens, retired military and intelligence officials, and others who were perceived to be supporting the cause of freedom from communism in Central America.

That’s what Hillary Clinton was defending, people who thought it was okay to torture and murder somebody.”

Well they were fighting for a “just” cause. Of course, what our military is doing now isn’t in her mind(just because the polls say so, of course), so torturing a prisoner is out of the question.

Her hypocrisy knows no bounds.

No wonder she picked BJ.
