Video: The “I like turtles” kid has just entered the No Spin Zone

posted at 10:39 pm on July 27, 2007 by Allahpundit

The clip on which this is based went viral a few months ago but maybe it’s better if you haven’t seen it before.

He thought he could come into Bill’s house and float his insidious pro-turtle talking points. He thought wrong.

You say “sub-moronic,” I say “Friday night gold.”

Blowback

That kid looks like a Proto-Juggalo. Yikes.

Mindcrime on July 27, 2007 at 10:44 PM

Hahahahaha! Thanks for sharing! Made me laugh.

krabbas on July 27, 2007 at 10:53 PM

Eh. But then I watched the original clip and that was funny.

frankj on July 27, 2007 at 11:00 PM

Sub-moronic would be a little generous. Moronic is nearer the mark

aengus on July 27, 2007 at 11:03 PM

What’s amazing is that the kid looks like the colonel. Wish the quality was better though.

TheEJS on July 27, 2007 at 11:04 PM

Sticking to his main point,cute.

canopfor on July 27, 2007 at 11:04 PM

Who is the colonel? Or do I even want to know?

aengus on July 27, 2007 at 11:08 PM

Sub-moronic, yes. But also Friday Night Gold.

nailinmyeye on July 27, 2007 at 11:11 PM

Wow how did O’Reilly ever convince Ron Paul to come on his show ?

William Amos on July 27, 2007 at 11:11 PM

Who is the colonel? Or do I even want to know?

aengus on July 27, 2007 at 11:08 PM

Some liberal shemale. That’s more than you want to know.

TheEJS on July 27, 2007 at 11:13 PM

Night of The Living Dead- The Next Generation?

profitsbeard on July 27, 2007 at 11:13 PM

You say “sub-moronic,” I say “Friday night gold.”

For once, AllahP, you’re right on the $$$.

frankj on July 27, 2007 at 11:00 PM

I agree, the clip was funnier. The reporter really didn’t know what to do with such a bizarre response.

thedecider on July 27, 2007 at 11:17 PM

Definitely Friday night stupid. But its great.

My blog has a new banner with zombies, maybe they’re chasing turtles.

Bad Candy on July 27, 2007 at 11:19 PM

I like turtles, too.

Hey.

You cannot accuse me of getting of topic!

Mcguyver on July 27, 2007 at 11:21 PM

My blog has a new banner with zombies, maybe they’re chasing turtles.

Bad Candy on July 27, 2007 at 11:19 PM

You should do a mix of the zombies plus the scott thomas banner. While at it, through madeline albright into the picture somewhere.

TheEJS on July 27, 2007 at 11:22 PM

EJS, someone actually made the banner for me. I like it, it beat the old one I had by a mile (just a white box with the title and “Less shamble. More Ramble”). I’ll do my own eventually(god knows how it’ll turn out, cuz I suck with those kind of programs), but I’m gonna go with that one for now. Mine will likely have some zombies getting mowed down(I’m thinking with an AK).

Bad Candy on July 27, 2007 at 11:33 PM

Hah, the no turtle zone?

synycalwon on July 27, 2007 at 11:39 PM

It would have been better if the interview had been with a guy. When Bill-O says “she” it kinda messes it up.

Sorry to keep blathering about my blog, but I’m feeling pretty good about it. I’ve only had it for a little about a month, and I think I’ve done pretty well. Got 2000 hits today, a new record.

Bad Candy on July 27, 2007 at 11:42 PM

Bad Candy, McGuyver, synycalwon-

You like turtles?

profitsbeard on July 27, 2007 at 11:46 PM

Bah- glitchy link… must try again…

Turtles…

profitsbeard on July 27, 2007 at 11:58 PM

I’d like to hear this kid sing Chocolate Rain.

RightWinged on July 28, 2007 at 12:14 AM

RW, nah, he probably better not, Ace might snap.

Bad Candy on July 28, 2007 at 12:27 AM

Has anyone seen this?
http://wuzzadem.typepad.com/wuz/2005/02/oreilly_factor_.html

Bill interviews Yoda.

allie on July 28, 2007 at 12:30 AM

Of course we’ve seen that, its a Wuzzadem classic!

Bad Candy on July 28, 2007 at 12:33 AM

Great the old Abbott and Costello turtle schtick revisited. That was from Abbott and Costello meet Frankenstein.

sonnyspats1 on July 28, 2007 at 12:45 AM

Wait, wait!

Are we still not talking about gay people? What is wrong with us? How can we live with ourselves?? I though we were better than that, but I guess we really are a bunch of bigoted haters.

Why aren’t we talking about gay people?!

JoeEgo on July 28, 2007 at 12:51 AM

Why aren’t we talking about gay people?!

JoeEgo on July 28, 2007 at 12:51 AM

Because the less you talk about them, it’s less likely they’ll make complete asses of themselves and have full grown men parading down the square in pink dresses a size too small in full whore makeup.

That’s why. Just ignore them and they’ll probably go away. Or at least act so crazy they’ll further delegitimize themselves.

BKennedy on July 28, 2007 at 2:24 AM

Who is the colonel? Or do I even want to know?
aengus on July 27, 2007 at 11:08 PM

The “colonel” is either the KFC’s or the Elvis’ colonel…either way he is being manipulated behind the scenes by Karl Rove.

Ropera on July 28, 2007 at 3:22 AM

Bill O’Reilly – “Talking Points” would like to repeat, if a very public presidential candidate spoke before a far right hate group, that candidate would be fried by the media. But not a negative word about the Kos situation from the press. Figure it out.”

MB4 on July 28, 2007 at 4:15 AM

Nobody speaking up for the anti-turtle side of this hard hitting story? Ya, fair and balanced my butt.

oakpack on July 28, 2007 at 6:37 AM

nothing wrong with turtles, there is room for all of gods creatures………. next to the mashed potatoes !

mrfixit on July 28, 2007 at 7:53 AM

Now THAT was freaky deaky.

Talon on July 28, 2007 at 8:34 AM

Halloween is in October.

freebird on July 28, 2007 at 9:35 AM

I’m sorry, but just looking at the screen shot with turtle/zombie boy next to O’Reilly is enough to crack me up.

flipflop on July 28, 2007 at 9:38 AM

You mean that wasn’t ron paul?!

locomotivebreath1901 on July 28, 2007 at 9:51 AM

mmmmm turtles. What’s cool is they come with their own bowl. Yummy.

Ordinary1 on July 28, 2007 at 10:08 AM

Note to self;

No more of Allahs’ “Friday Night Gold” while nursing a hangover.

there it is on July 28, 2007 at 10:18 AM

That kid looks like a Proto-Juggalo.

I thought he was one of the captured aliens from Roswell.

I like turtles, too.

Same here, but other than Happy Together and She’d Rather Be With Me, I don’t know much about them.

Bigfoot on July 28, 2007 at 10:40 AM

Given some of the crazy things people eat in the world, I wouldn’t be surprised if what it really said minus the edit was “I like turtles for dinner.”

Ryan Gandy on July 28, 2007 at 12:49 PM

wow fat Timmy sure has gone has gone down hill fast.Has he been hanging out with Lindsy??
everbody loves turtles

Mojack420 on July 28, 2007 at 1:52 PM

Didn’t you guys ever see Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome? This is “Mute Raccoon-Eye Kid” who lives up with the discarded bullets and skulls above the rest of the child Trackers and pulls the Bugs Bunny toy cord to speak for him. Perfect spitting image.

inviolet on July 28, 2007 at 11:40 PM

Ok, I went to the first link, and reviewed it to make sure of one thing.

That kid was dressed up (facepaint, etc.) for some specific event. He was; and I am able to still maintain a tiny naive shred of hope for humanity.

It was however a close call…

gekkobear on July 29, 2007 at 2:36 AM

We should classify that kid an enemy combatant and be done with the whole problem…

congsan on July 29, 2007 at 10:58 AM

His out of place response is very typical of an autistic child. The reporters response to his “I like turtles” is also very typical of someone who doesn’t realize s/he is interacting with an autistic child.
