Elections have never changed in 200 years. Rarely does it come down to voting for the best person, it is voting for the lesser of two evils. The Dims have the amnesty debacle firmly wrapped around their necks. Rahm is trying to deflect it from ’08 because he knows it is a losing position. Bet your ass the Dims will definitely ram amnesty down our throats if they get elected in ’08. Lying is not a problem for them to use to get elected. Never has been.

New Haven,Conn. The Mayor has decided to give illegals a welcome home ID card…So he is overiding US laws on his own accord..So if one of his new founded friends ends up raping, killing, DUI manslaughter, or etc etc.. I figure he’s liable for abating and abetting illegals, and opens himself up to a nice civil law suit. Help me out here I’m surly no lawyer..Look My Space just got sued for having let in sex offenders into their site..I wonder if they even took the time to do a criminal back ground check on their new friends..Even a wall 25ft high isn’t going to work if you have people and places like New Haven, Conn.

I agree with you. I do not trust Rudy on illegal immigration nor on Supreme Court justices either. McCain was never a possibility simply because of ........ Will Graham-amnesty still be around in 2012? I certainly hope voters remember Graham-amnesty next year.

He already did, plus a half, in the Senate. He did nothing important.

This was after he was a lobbyist and did so for a pro-choice group, but before he said he was always pro-life, which occured after Fredheads assured us he wasn’t an insider but also before we learned that he was so inconsequential in the Senate most of the Beltway Boys know him from Law & Order.

I believe Fred Thompson won #10,000 on The Onion’s 299 Million Least Influential People List. This is because he captures the attention of a few Fred?heads willing to cover for him, but is otherwise unknown by anyone who assosiates him with something other than acting.

I have heard Hunter and Tancredo and like them both on immigration issues, but like Paul, I don’t think they have a chance. I’m still waiting in the weeds for some other Republican to come along. The only problem is that I have no idea who it could be. Newt is to the Dems like Hillary is to the Republicans. I like him, think he is smart, but I dont know what kind of administrator he would be. I would vote for Zell Miller before I voted for Rudy or McCain.

Both sides have a real lame lineup if you ask me.

He is the only candidate I have heard that wants to change the law to eliminate anchor babies, and he said that illegal immigrants were not the problem, all the stupid incentives the US has created in the private and public sectors to draw them is the problem. He wants to stop all the freebees and punish the employers like I do.

LOL! Rudy would most likely be the first to hand out amnesty. Ignoring his pandering to conservative voters AFTER realizing shamnesty was about to fail, please give me one example of Rudy being against illegal immigration. The most extreme measure Rudy would take would be to suggest that we give them all an ID card allowing us to “know where they are.” This would allow him to locate them easier whenever any of his donors needed some cheap labor.

I’m not against Rudy for pres., (even though his authoritarian attitude often rubbed me the wrong way when I lived in NY while he was mayor), but don’t be so sure of his real attitudes towards illegals. NYC was a sanctuary city under Rudy, and he fought hard, up to the Supreme Court, to keep it that way. I’d still vote for him cause I think he’d slam our enemies.

It takes pressure off candidates, he’s hoping it will leave us open to being blindsided and that’s probably the date he thinks will be the demographic tipping point after which even a national referendum would fail.

If amnesty every passed, the very next political movement of the hard left would be for slave reparations.
