That was my whacky theory. Now maybe it will play out that way and it will have happened by sheer dumb luck. Either way, a dems defeat is good for the country specifically and the world generally.

I would hope that it’s more than dumb luck. Maybe having General Petraeus there was the right formula to kick start this in the right direction. Plus it doesn’t hurt to have the Iraqis wake up and see AQ for what they are.

Interesting hearing from a contractor over there. Regardless of the Fred plug, he’s right in pointing out the democratic lack of backbone. I actually think it’s more BDS than anything else. I hoping the this progress is contagious and more Iraqis help to rid AQ and help us get out sooner than later.

I was entertaining this whacky theory several months ago that the way Bush let the Dems and the MSM define this war without challenging them was another brilliant Rovian plot to get them out on a limb that he could saw off. I don’t think he put the troops in further harms way to allow it, but rather he allowed them to run with it knowing that the successes would eventually be recognized. Well, the dems are already out on that limb with Dingy Harry’s claim that the war is lost etc. I think the saw is out, and as soon as Bush proves that the intel was there to prove we were making progress and the Dems were ignoring that intel and using the troops deaths as tools for their political gain, the sawing of that limb will begin.
