Of course that was stupid for Edwards to do, but he was trying to keep it light, in hopes that he stands a chance (which he doesn’t) to slide on as VP (again). He didn’t want to attack her, only to have to take it back later, so he tried to make a joke, and just sounded like a… well, Coulter can tell you… Meanwhile, Obama, knowing already that he’s her VP candidate had to compliment her on the coat.

I find it disgraceful that the debate last night was held at a 3rd grade level. The questions were irrelevant, and idiot proof. I am also sick of people saying things like “We need better teachers.” Of course we do, but HOW are you going to get that to happen? The democrats should again feel ashamed at their sham of a debate. I can’t believe these people are even candidates.

What an incredibly stupid question! How the heck did it get through whoever was screening them? His response was dumb but the questioner can’t have expected anyone to answer honestly, on international tv no less?

I missed this “highlight” as the few bits and pieces I saw made me feel almost ill and embarrassed for how much this process seems to have changed over the years. Anderson “lightweight” Cooper? Edwards expensive haircut that looked like sh…?” *shudders at the memory*

On a related note, Wolf GRILLED the heck out of Elizabeth Edwards after the “debate”. He had her twisting in the wind over her comments about Hillary’s weakness on womens issues. I actually giggled.
