Eh…I’m of the opinion that the best way to treat Code Pinkos and their ilk is with a healthy sense of irony–not anger or arguments, because it simply accomplishes nothing.

That wasn’t just any old counter-protester calling Sheehan a “skank,” WillBarrett. That was a Blue Star mother, and she is also the woman behind the video camera. Her son is a US Marine who is currently in Iraq. In my opinion, this lady definitely has standing to call Cindy Sheehan and any other “anti-war” protester whatever she darn well pleases.

The Blue Star mother who called Sheehan a “skank” did not make her comment in anger, and if you watch and listen, you will notice that. She made her comment in a normal tone of voice, as a statement of fact.

As I said to WillBarrett, this Blue Star mother has standing, in my eyes, to make whatever comments she chooses about a person or group of people who are endangering (by their actions and/or financial support of “the insurgency”) her son and others in our military.

I participated in the counter protest at Arlington Cemetery with the Blue Star and Gold Star families, and I was saddened that these families had to defend their loved ones with very little support and participation from the general “conservative, troop-supporting” public.

When I read the critique of this Blue Star mother’s word choice, and a comment on how better to counter these people – I have to wonder when you all learned that your way works better.

By all means, if you know a better way, please do it.

Or maybe they just have this problem
